I hate to admit it, but Q is right. I like how Q evolved, during the course of Next Generation, from being an outright antagonist to something more of a mischievous, overzealous guide. He’s kinda like the teacher that teaches you how to swim by just throwing you in the water!
Q is a liar after this episode 😂😂 He was a honest. Devious entity before now Picard said “the Q leave our species alone”. Not the ship I watched TNG first time ever this week. Got to session 2 episode 16 and was pissed 😠. Pikard “I told you to leave my ship alone”. No you now stupid bastard. You said to leave humanity alone in its whole
I don't see any downside to her just joining the Continuum willingly. It's not like they'd keep her confined to that space, our Q can pretty much do whatever he wants so long as he's not being overly chaotic about it (Deja Q).
But don't they have to do as ordered and follow Continuum rules/laws (which may be awful)? And have to get permission to leave? I might be misremembering. But I don't think it was basically like the space-version of being a vampire as they are currently portrayed -- immortal, youthful, probably rich, unbelievably powerful, etc and somehow little to no drawbacks, especially if you can get that pesky blood-craving under control (or are just okay with eating whoever whenever).

And also, obviously, as with her parents, if she ever wants to be different than the Q-Typus, she will face death herself... This reminds me of the original star trek where Charlie has omnipotent powers, but can't control his anger. She can't control her empathy and so she must join the continuum, to understand that she must not interfere with others lived.

All the D'Abo's are beautiful women... even the non famous ones... but yea i recognised her immediatley when this aired yrs ago as the young girl from Conan the destroyer... had a huge crush on her when i saw her in that film. 1:00 one of my favorite parts of this episode. How i wish i could stand on the bow of a ship, right on the edge, and have literaly nothing but a passing universe in front of me...... What an amazing thing that would be....and i have the music for it too! :D EDIT: i know they stood on the stern. I still wish that I could stand on a starship's bow. My head cannon is 100% that DeLancie’s character in Breaking Bad is Q who did what he said the other Qs did in this episode: he assumed human form for amusement and fathered a daughter. I am certain Vince would agree if someone asked him.

They don't use weapons. everything a human sees in the continuum is a lie. created so we have a point of reverence. a 'Q gun' was just as real as a 'Q chair' within the continuum. also, that is a Voyager episode and like with the Borg they pretty much went against pre-existing canon and frankly ruined both. Quinn suggests that the Q evolved to the point they are now. this goes against what Q said. he said the Q have no beginning they just exist. if you're omnipotent then you can do anything, including turning another omnipotent being into anything you want. including a mortal. and then they can be killed. off course death means very little when any Q can resurrect a 'dead' one.
I'd probably be like the Genie from Aladdin, just go out and experience the universe like one big vacation. Maybe leave behind gifts if the host species proves friendly enough.

A truly omnipotent being wouldn't feel a need to be as stingy with their energy or effort as the average human, even if the form he takes here weren't an extension of his mind. In Q's place, hand gestures would be but a formality, or perhaps something I still felt like doing. It also helps Star Trek's audience know who's doing what.

I agree with you, devani 9. I was creeped out with every interaction he had with the girl. He was way too close for comfort, especially since she didn't show any sexual or romantic interest in him. At many points, he was only a few centimetres away from her face. Q is an eccentric character so I can see this behaviour to be normal for him, but the closeness was very uncomfortable to watch. Flirting only works if the other person is into it. One might argue that she didn't accept or reject Q's "flirting," but that was because she was consumed with bigger issues to notice. Even when flirting in real life, you can't just invade someone's personal space unless you know them or they're interested in you in some way.
