It's ironic but for me, many of the best TNG episodes didn't even have any action in them and many of which were supposed to be filler episodes, now it's just relentless action with special FX all over the place and very little story telling.
Star Trek today is Star Trek in name only, but it might as well be called something else because the vision that made Star Trek great is gone and it's ironic how that vision started to change when Gene Roddenberry died, TNG went on after that because they kept that vision but the moment the TNG movies started, it all went downhill and the same for other Star Trek series.

I would have expected a party, tho without an audience to impress, it makes sense how they all just kind of putter around. Perhaps that's why they like humans so much. Humans... react to them in a more interesting way. In fact, I think perhaps it's because humans are so disinterested in them, they are like "huh, these guys have potential." It allows the Q to almost see humans as peers in a way. At least, the starfleet crew and captains, I wonder how less scrumptious people would react to a Q.

@randomguy8196 Frankly the Q Civil War is an interesting question about an omnipotent eternal species having a mass existential crisis after one of them decides that eternity (and an eternity of monotony) ain't all it's cracked up to be, which does seem to be something that could happen. Also it continues Q's character arc from here. Here Q decides to behave himself, which Quinn found to be a disappointment as it was Quinn being a bit of an iconoclast himself that made Q the trickster god he was introduced as, only for this episode to put him in a box the continuum was comfortable with. Quinn's death made Q realize he lost his edge. Whether that damages the mystery of the omnipotent beings is a matter of perspective.
