"Busiest street" -- there's hardly any people or even much traffic. Maybe it's just the time of day? Are the streets usually packed during rush hour? The city looks quite nice though.
Probably Sunday which is when most people film Atlanta...when it's empty and gives the wrong impression. Film it on Saturday or anytime during the week and you'll see a different city. There are plenty of people on the streets and a lot going on unlike what you see here.
Atlanta is a city on schedule yall, this video looks like it was recorded either really early in the morning or during the day while everybody is at work. This same area at 3pm will be one of the busiest areas because a lot of ppl come through this area to get to other parts of the city.
Atlanta is very beautiful, but there are no dogs, no cats, no animals, no nature no rocks, no mountains, no retreat from humans. I also saw too few places to sit and too few places to rest. And in this city, as in all major cities, there is absolute anonymity. If you die in Atlanta, nobody cares.
If you're comparing Atlanta to a smaller city, yes, Atlanta would look like New York to most, but for people coming from New York, DC, Chicago, SF, Philly, LA, Atlanta is a joke. trust me, the ONLY reason this area is busy on ANY level is because people are driving to and from work. This area is not busy because it's a lively area. The only people you have walking in this area are the few tourists. Mostly everyone else you see walking through this area are homeless people and college students because Georgia St University has their campus in and around the area. NOBODY walks in Atlanta.
@hater or speaker of facts? Take a walk around through what “downtown” is considered to be and I guarantee you’ll be outnumbered by homeless people. Take a walk around five points and the capitol and court house buildings.
@@seeatlanta1408 its the capital of the state. Downtown is government buildings and tourists. Midtown, and Buckhead, East Atlanta, West End. Plenty of busy areas. Unless youve been here and moved around, you have no idea what you're talking about.
He’s in the business district of a 131 square mile city. People drive here, it’s culturally ingrained. Public transportation was pushed aside in favor of cars back in the 20’s so it’s impractical to get around on foot or by train. For the past 100 years our city was created against walking. Trust me, most people living here would love if things were more walking accessible.
I live in Europe, and i am curious why American cities are so empty? Cities here in Europe are packed with people on the streets. Only NYC is always like hive. Can someone explain me? Btw, Atlanta looks very nice, would love to visit it one day 😊
Cities are more spread out in the US. Most people drive their own vehicles instead of relying on public transport. NYC is an exception that’s why it looks packed.
It's because when the car was invented, americans moved from city centers to outside residential zones. If you look at videos before cars became popular, US cities were full of people
Downtown Atlanta is desolate. There are only homeless and otherwise loitering, sketchy people. NY, Chicago, Boston, and DC have vibrant downtowns. Midtown and Buckhead are the best parts of Atlanta.
Buckhead is culturally dead with more out of touch rich folk than I could shake a stick at on top of having absolutely no entertainment value beyond overpriced food. Midtown has the worthwhile art district but judging by your attitude I would assume you just want an expensive bar to drink at. Try experiencing this city for what it is and stop spitting venom: do better.

I think it was Sunday. Just not so sure now
Has to be because I have been and traffic is a b*

Sheesh. A joke? 😂 then WHY are people from those places moving here? To get AWAY from that BS. Atlanta aint trying to be nothing else. Its the SOUTH.

I don't get it. Are american cities always so empty? Compared to asian or european cities, american cities look more like a cementery
