Ghost isn’t metal. But they also are. Idk they look the part and some of their songs are pretty heavy but I’d say their top ones are rlly more rock/pop. Similar to some stuff you’d hear in the 80’s. I found them with pinnacle to the pit and thought it was metal. But hearing stuff like Mary on a cross, I didn’t even recognize them
I love faith, and I debated on that one very much. but in the end we decided that it falls more into a melodic category than heavy.. a lot of there songs are more melodic vs heavy, which made it very hard to pickings
@DewdropTheGhoul yeah it's got heavy aspects. but I find it more catchy and melodic as well. I just don't think it can beat Twenties or others in terms of heaviness. it's makes me wanna sing more than headbang
@DewdropTheGhoul oh yeah it's a heavy riff that's the hard part about choosing between all there songs.. there are certain songs that have heavy ass riffs but the rest of the song may not be as heavy and most likely just ends up being more catchy, or melodic then heavy
It sounds like the Ozzy-era, too. The solos are very Sabbath-y, and the riffing is often very “Children of the Grave.” They also frequently put the snare drum on 1 and 3 which, while not quite Sabbath-y, is a very Ginger Baker thing to do, and Cream was a big influence on Sabbath.
