This reporter is bias. Strike nurses make over $100 per hour and didn’t even know the basic of nursing. We heard horrible stories from staff and patients that was inside during the last strike. To that Karen that says we’re spoiled nurses, you come follow me for 12 hours shift and see what nurses do before you make ignorant claim. Our sick time and benefits is horrible. Sometimes we have to come in to work while sick because we are only allowed 5 sick occurrences per year.
Why are employees claiming that travel nurses aren’t qualified? It’s the same training, yes? They have degrees, yes? It doesn’t really seem fair to attack them.
for example, a strike nurse working in our postpartum unit during last strike didn’t even know how to do newborn screening/ bili. False documentation about patient status, etc
