Iron man 1 CGI still surprises me to this day
pen art same!
Why
it was extremely realistic and it was also made in 2005. the arc reactor, suit, flying scenes over the desert, etc, were all very well done for CGI in that time
Jon Favreau kinda sticked to practical effects rather than using CGI for everything.
@@fionali4453 The movie is form 2008 and was filmed in 2007
The problem with CGI is that you only notice it when it's bad
Wow I never heard something accurate when it comes to cgi I 100% agree with u
That's SOO true
true, and black panther sucked black balls lol
*Just like Salt in food*
Behizy guy don’t lie green lanterns was better than what this movie produced it the final fight looked like a Mobil phone everyone on the theater cringed because of it during the final fight
Marvel's team are masters at roto-cg. It's crazy that characters like Spider-Man barely even have to wear practical costumes anymore.
it's usually done in India.
@@bando-od7yt Canada too
This was my favorite animated movie of the year! Maybe they'll make a live action version one day.
the tunnel part was worst

How can someone dislike this video? This is absolutely amazing and must’ve taken forever to get it just right. My hats off to the folks that spent many a sleepless nights to accomplish such amazing VFX. Thank you! 🙌🏾
This looks hard
That's what she said.
As a 3D student, it is.
Yup, but the pay off earns millions of dollars for them
Dame Dollar not really, animators don’t make too much compared to what others earn in the production of these movies earn.
coffee keeps me going oh what I was referring to the whole production and cast of the movie when I said that, not only animators. But I wouldn’t lie, I would expect that animators get atleast a million dollars.
It was uneeded to animate his costume 90% of the time. He looked 1000x better in Civil War and that ending fight scene was unacceptable
Fax
DryAssChicken I agree. In civil war he had a real suit. I also wish the final fight between them was like Winter Soldier
I wouldn’t say unacceptable but it looked weird, tho the choreography was really nice
I mean, they said in this video why most of the suit was CGI
His Civil War costume was easily the best
Much of the cgi of black panther was exaggerated, the killmonger and t challa fight scene locked like video game
Way way worse i cringe just thinking about it baaarf
This is the fault of CGI
Majority of the people hating on cgi are white
That scene was rushed into the film and was done because the original scene that was mostly SFX failed to meet film standards while the CGI scene was an improvement despite it's flaws.
χσνєятιмєχ wtf Does race have to do with anything u fuckhead racist
WAYYY too much CGI in the movie, good movie but the best parts were without CGI like the fights at the waterfall
Youdo realize the WHOLE background for all the waterfall scenes is CGI right?
Dizyland r/woosh
Basically everything in the movie is CGI, Wakanda isn't a real place you know.
Oh Yeah? Tell that to the CG animated Raccoon whom got no backlash. Or the taking tree!
The waterfall fight had a tonne of CGI
when you have beautiful practical suits why don't you use them and build the scenes around the suits instead of giving my eyes an aneurysm. it would have cost less as well.
Because they break. Vibranium doesn't exist in the real world. Not yet, anyways.
I wish they had used a mix of practical effects and CGI because it looked so weird during the last fight
Practical with CGI touch ups is almost always a better look, unless animators go balls to the wall to make it match real life quality.
Black Panther is one of those movies that is so good it just keeps getting better the more you learn about it.
Guy should have spent some more time on those rhinos, the final fight between Black Panther and Kill Monger, and background at the challenge pool.
Andrew Wadsworth why
Because it lacked weight/was noticeably CGI. Rest of the movie was great.
The cgi was pretty good until the train fight, that was pretty bad
And they say DC uses a lot of CGI.... Cgi is necessary in superhero movies...
I meant the 2 universes... MCU and DCEU genius!! Understand the comment first, KID!
SHAAN thought it was pretty obvious you meant dceu but not everyone is smart
It is VERY necessary, wtf do you mean?
Also yes DC (DCEU) does use a lot of CGI. Take a look at many of their recent villains.
As expected, starting doing mother father... Haha.. so manly of you UFC MAN :D :D
1:35 why do they have a block with some fire on it? what is it for? as reference of the scale of the fire?
Lensbreak Studios yes
I’m two years late to replying but my guess would be lighting reference for the digital fire and maybe wind direction?
We don't question things
2:44 when your classmates hear you got chewing-gums
I am disappointed in the Infinity War... Where was the Rhinos???
ZDEyE no border tribe , no w'akabi ...so no rhino , makes sense now?
rhino now facing extinction #saveearth
did you really wanna see animals die?? of course theyre fake but it would've been still sad
I mean, those were pretty poorly animated tbh.
Nithin Prasad there was a border tribe in infinity war. Who do you think the guys with the cloth shields standing behind t'challa was?
This was sooooooo dope
nope
Jamie Ross Yes.
Jamie Ross It's his opinion. So stfu please
yeah,I really wanna buy this new Black Panther game for my PS3
1:25 The audience already knew he was alive.
If you watch Black Panther then watch civil war. You can see in civil war all the BP movement looks more believable.
Dont get me wrong this CG is remarkable, some scene i cant really see the difference. But i just prefer BP movement in civil war.
See, what you said is your opinion, which is cool. Everyone else is assuming things they know nothing about.
DNTwtch THSchnnl um what are you talking about? The movements in black panther are very stiff and unrealistic, while in CW, it wasn’t, as they didn’t use CGI.
@@winnywinnarts I'm saying that that's not true. The Russo Brothers' cut-y style allowed for it not to be so obvious, but in all the movies Black Panther has been in, his suit is CGI almost 100% of the time. Check out some of the VFX breakdowns for Civil War and Black Panther to see what I mean.
@@ابنعبدالرحيم they actually used the actor (not sure if stunt) with a crappy BP suit and just traced with CGI so that's why CW had more believable movement.
Going to be honest but the CGI for this film was lowkey trash. Especially the suits for Black Panther.
Sancheezy: was it this bad in Captain America: Civil War? I remember it being wayyyy better
Nathan Bruce civil war had better CGI than BP but I still disliked the CGI in civil war hence having a full on CGI airport, CGI spiderman, CGI Black Panther. I like having real costumes but it’s whatever.
Spiderman actually wasn't CGI, they only edited in the eyes.; it just looked heavily CGI because of the lighting.
Marvel was saving money for infinity war. You can see how good the cgi was in infinity war
Cgi in Civil War was great, Infinity War as well
So this is how they messed up the VFX in the third act. Interesting!
The didn't have much time to render
Now, coming back to this video, I realized why a lot of the fights with tchalla had to be fully CG sometimes... and it makes me sad... rest in power King Chadwick Boseman🖤🌹
i feel like in a movie like this, no actor can be nominated best actor
I'm guessing the last battle was made by the same people behind Resident Evil 1.
Some of the visuals were bad tho
Shady Rabbit Most*
Kadeem The Dream Get help please.
What a weird topic for a video when the CGI has been one of the main criticisms of the film. Drawing more attention to it is bizarre. Those Rhinos...yikes.
You guys are the true heroes of the movies , because that doesn’t look easy
The overall CGI was great I think, just the last battle in some cave with trains were suck.
The visual effects for this movie was on a whole another level😍💞🔥🔥🔥
The killmonger suit forming CGI was amazing.
Terrible CG Imagery in Black Panther. Took the shine off what was otherwise a fantastic film.
Dang I wanna watch Black Panther again
The effects of the specific company are usually stellar. My only explanation was that they used most of their members in Infinity War, and they were left with the bare minimum to finish this film.
Why did so much of the CGI look bad though?
it looked pretty good until the third act imo
JLCodes it didn't
bep ricki no
JLCodes Somebody said that they wanted to save the money in making visual effects for Infinity War
JLCodes The Quality is dependent on the time you can reiterate on a project and therefore the budget
The difference between good artist and artist not that good is whether they make the artwork come to life.
Good job!
When LOTR was released more than 15 years ago, with worse cgi but still much more believable and immersive...
It honestly had better CGI.
Only at times. LOTR had lots of ugly cgi and the greenscreen is almost always noticable
The worst CGI in LOTR is better than whatever was the train fight.
isn't it funny?even 1993 Jurassic park is much more real than Black Panther...Ok,Jurassic Park had the best visuals ever for me,but still
Derp Herp lmao that was one scene. The whole movie had tons of CGI it's obvious that they ran out of money.
Huh, the only CGI that I found really obvious while watching it were the Rhinos. They did a fantastic job by making everything look so real.
I miss black panther, he is no more 😭😭😭😭😭😭
1:53, my boy black panther got you with the circle game
Now I know exactly who to blame. Thanks wired.
My favorite scenes were killmonger's clothes tearing off and suit under and most fight scenes ...I was so excited the second time I went to watch...still love it when I see it...
Wired.....I LOVE that you are doing these types of videos. Please don’t stop 🙌
What he said at 9:07 really sticks with me. Imagine pouring hundreds of hours developing CGI movie scenes only to see the movie fail 😬
Donte S
I meant movies in general. Black Panther did very well 😀
Black Panther was one of the best movies in YEARS!!!
R.I.P THE KING T'CHALLA
Remember when Marvel released the clip of the final fight and everyone just assumed the CGI would get better?
Oh boy where they wrong.
Marvel has got a big problem of CGI. They really need to cut it down.
Thats so sad
@@ferch0td I have found him
Respect.
This was the best Animated movie Marvel has done. Hats off!!
I watch black panther when I miss him the news just left me speechless 😶
This video changes the way I see these movie has it is one of my favourite. I did not think this much CGI needed to be in this movie. Of course most movies have CGI and “movie magic” but this movie almost every scene was made out of CGI, I will still love this movie, they just should of died down the CGI a bit, it’s a ‘Live-Action’ movie and an animated movie. Just hope the second one has a little less.
Even as a software engineer this stuff is absolutely incredible.
Visual Effects in Black Panther are incredible... good job Daryl Sawchuk
The special effects in this movie where overkill especially the subway scene, it looked more like a video game than anything
1:26 "..Where they realize that black panther infact has not died" 🕊️😢🙏🏽👑R.I.P
Ya'll Black Panther's CG was bad because we killed the rhinos
So much effort for just one movie, wow
These guys are the real mvps
I have a cousin in Canada who worked on both the visual affects on Black panther and Infinity war
3:00
At this moment, and few others, it looked so much like an animate movie.
I think there is still lot of progress to make in this field.
Folks want to hate black panther!! I see these blogs and a bunch of negative comments. Not hard to figure out why!! If you don't have nothing nice to say just don't say nothing!! This movie still topped some of the best animated movies in sales so who cares!!
R.I.P Chadwick Boseman
Yo, how many times has this guy blinked? 😂
Just wish the fight scenes were better
"You don't want to replace everything because you can." You guys clearly have and it shows all throughout the film
I love photography, animation, computer graphics modeling, acting, filming and storytelling. If only I was actually skilled at those things...
The Rhinos are awful lol
Rest in Peace Chadwick Boseman
T'Chala: *puts on suit*
Killmonger: WATATHOOOSEEE
Rip to the king
2:40 killmoger hit a phat nae nae
Who is watching this after he died again cause u wanna see his face then like
You wrote this comment basically saying he died twice
Used to be about 1000 people to make a hit movie. Great productions like this now employ 3000.
It's all good.
Rip King - Chadwick Boseman
That CGI is pretty horrible. The Rhinos in the 1994 version of Jumanji looked better.
But those aren't ordinary rhinos
Jeffrey Root in 1994 you looked better
Roasted
*i just wanted to know how killmonger got those dots on his body*
I_Do_Things_Sometimes there's a video on how they glued each dot on his body 🤗
Wat software is he usin?
Poorly. That's how they were made
They only got 6 weeks to animate the train scene bro
Poorly. That's how it was made
Which program or training do you need to make these kind of visual effects?
This movie was made perfectly well
The CGI in most marvel movies is pretty bad with the exception of Logan and Doctor Strange (MCU). Even in Infinity War, when Thor comed down to earth and he jumps up with lighting around him, it looked like an amateur added it in After Effects.
With that said, the black panther cgi isn't as bad as everybody is making it out to be. Spiderman Homecoming takes the cake for worst CGI in the MCU
Infinity war had a little bit of CGI problems, probably enevitable because 90% of the movie was cgi
TheValueKing Homecoming had great CGI.
They literally created 5 all CGI characters and you're complaining about a 2 second shot. Thanos looked amazing and so did the black order. I would rather Marvel spend their time on them then a 2 second shot of Thor
Thanos, all of the Black Order (except maybe Proxima Midnight), Rocket, Groot...all CGI.
i think the abuse of CGI is he problem, i see they have top notch tecnology and skills but they abuse using these options
The Oscars should include a "The Most Over-hyped Movie" category.
Movie was alright
-2bad he is dead now-
Murmaxy who is dead?
Azze Vlogs guess
Murmaxy How would i know
Azze Vlogs black panther
DankMoisture Ah good grief, you didn't need to spoil it for him
That falling scene reminded me of Spider-Man vs Venom in Spiderman 3
DAT tunnel fight tho...
While I loved BP, there were multiple scenes where the CGI looked pretty fake. I think this Effects House, was overwhelmed after Marvel decided to go with CGI suits for BP and Killmonger.
Jock McBile
Well they clearly suck at making them. I almost barfed at that last fight scene 🤮🤮🤮
The last scene is not very nice because they had problems and they only had 6 weeks to do the visual effects. (Which is really short).
When it comes to CGI and visual effects, time is an important thing to have for good CGI.
The CGI was the worst part of the movie....never mind the generic plot and the lame characterization
Generic plot of a hidden kingdom of tribal people who own the best technology on the planet?
JSSTyger facts
JSSTyger just naming elements that are in the movie isn't describing a "plot" ya dingus
MARVEL GAMERZ naming the elements that compose the story of the film isnt discussing the plot?....then what is it exactly?
Ernest Sacco Like I said, you just name them.. a secret kingdom can be used in al kinds of ways in the context of a movie.. it can be used correct or not.. *"star wars the last jedi's plot isnt good? Most powerfull jedi as a mentor, space battles, epic lightsaber combat, emotional confrontations, creative planets"* sounds dope with just the few elements but in context of the entire movie and the way it's used.. absolute dogshit.. the c o n t e x t of those elements form the plot.. "iT hAs bLack panTHer" so? Just by saying that means the movie's plot is good? A plot is the context of the elements you name and the way they are utilised in the movie plot elememts =/= *the* plot
this movie was so overrated.
laughable bad
Dan people like this movie dummy, that doesn’t make it overrated there are plenty of people who don’t like it calm down
This is absolutely amazing!
Haven't seen the movie yet but after watching this, I'm even less excited.
I have a lot of respect for the time they put to make a film this extraordinary. Must be really hard
As much as i want to appreciate the movie, i like black panther in civil war more than its original movie
Stop at 1:53
T'challa had to do it to us
Black Panther's suit looks way better in Civil War because they had a beautifully crafted hand-made physical suit, that was only touched up in post. in Black Panther, it looks way more video-game-y because its entirely made in a computer.
The CGI was actually very decent, it's the virtual camera movements that make things look fake, especially in the mine fight. They should have used proper camera shots instead of having the virtual camera whiz around all over the place.
I loved watching this and I loved the film! Really inspiring video for someone like me learning CGI
