The one thing that concerns me about this guitar are the pickups. They seem too warm compared to the V mod II in the American Pro II. That one sounds more like a strat to me. At least from what I'm hearing in the vids online.
That do seem a little warmer but honestly they aren’t too diff from my 60th Anniversary American Standard. I think the difference is less pronounced. It sounds great and it’s become my new Number one Strat 🙂
Nice guitar! I plan on getting one soon. White or pink. Been looking for the perfect strat. This model could be it. Is there room for a humbucker underneath? Take care.
Im with u 100% on the roasted maple neck with rosewood fretboard and 12" radius. My Partscaster Tele has a Fender aftermarket neck with those specs and its incredible. (It the Fender Satin Roasted Maple Telecaster Replacement Neck - Rosewood Fingerboard) i put Fender Staggered Locking Tuners on it, and I ordered a 3 string retainer from Stewmac, then realized i dont need it and preferred the look of the headstock without a string tree. The rolled edges are a nice touch too. By the looks of it, it seems like the same neck thats on the GT11, but MIM. Now i really want to build a Partscaster Strat with the Strat equivalent of the same neck, or save up and get the Fender American Professional II GT11 Stratocaster - Sonic Blue. That guitar checks all the right boxes for me.
This GT11 became my number 1 single coil guitar immediately. I love how it plays and sounds! They’re actually on sale right now, use my link in the description🙂
Strat trems can be pretty persnickety. My fix was to use 5 springs and back the claw attachment screws fairly far out so it's definitely floating. Gives it a little of that smooth warble feel that you get on a (NON-tension bar) Bigsby or Jazzmaster. All that said, there's no reason why you couldn't take a hard-tail Strat, cut out part of the pickguard and mount a B-16. I've not had good luck with B5 and B7-type tension-bar Bigsbys; real stiff.... A B-16 doesn't have the tension-bar so it feels much better, but they're hard to find.
You’re talking my talk. Nothing appeals to more than a strat. Greatest guitar on earth, with the Tele right behind. I find Les Paul’s to be bulky unattractive guitars never got the vibe.
I agree. I've never understood the obsession with les Paul's. And if I ranked just gibsons models it would be near the bottom. I'd rather have an ES, SG, and even a V over an LP.
Yeah I was looking for a hard tail a while ago and couldn’t find what I was looking for. You could always just get the trem version and block it. Basically the same

I honestly haven’t checked under the pickguard. This thing is legit and I think the best Strat they make!

Charvel gives me what Fender won’t (yes I know Fender own Charvel now)
What are you looking for in a guitar?
@@jonmihail a hard tail strat with a modern fretboard radius
I love a good 12” radius on my strats!

On my veritas my bigsby give just a slight warble, definitely not a dive bomber but provides a nice texture. That’s what I want.
Just get a Custom Shop at this point.
That’s a pretty big jump from 2k to over 4k for a custom shop.
Sold my last Fender after i bought the Vola. I hope they get their QC up to Squier standards one day.
I’ve heard great things about Vola, I’m just not crazy about the styling
prs made my fav git with the s2 vela
What do you like about it?
I found a left handed avri 2 fiesta red strat but it arrived with the neck pocket cracked. Kind of a bummer.
Oh man that sucks. This guitar is stupid good tho. It’s so close to being perfect
You know you can put a bigsby on it rigth?
The video is called fender almost made my perfect guitar, not I can mod this guitar into my perfect guitar. That’s a different video
@@jonmihail ohh greattt then you got tour dream guitar!!!congratsq🥳(i have constant need to clearly say that Im not being sarcastic)
Did you grow up in Australia, man?
Sure did, moved to the USA when I was 22. What’s your podcast about?
I think it needs a Bigsby :D
Should I put a bigby on my Strat? Maybe my other American Standard

I had a Les Paul and never vibed with it. Gotta try an SG still but the strat is just perfection

lol
Got a different opinion? Share it mate 🙂
@@jonmihail Les Paul bulky? Sure. So are teles. But a Les Paul unattractive, that’s comedy.
You sold me on the Fender 🤣
It’s a great guitar! Played it live today and it was amazing
WHY WON'T FENDER JUST DO A PLAYER II HARDTAIL STRAT IN DAPHNE BLUE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

@@jonmihail That's what I've done w/ mine 🤣
