I collected these in the 90's. These were always two of my favorites, even though they are a little more basic than the rest of the Kenner Aliens series. And the Alien mold is more like Kane's son from Alien than the Alien Warriors from Aliens.
I saw one once at kaybee toys but it was not on sale and was $35.99 and I literally had just spent all my money as a kid on something stupid at toysrus and wasn’t able to get it. Got them seperately at kaybee but the renegade has purple armor and the alien is blue
These figures were created for an unreleased TV show called "Operation: Aliens" which was more prominent in the Marine and Alien figures. Only a few screenshot exist of the proposed series looks awesome but no one knows where it's from...maybe one day....
As early as Predator 2, there were hints at Xenos fighting Predators, but it was a FPS game that came out early in the 1990s that started the "Alein vs. Predator" franchise. The movie was just an extension of this.
I had prototypes for AVP action figures. My friend is a professional illustrator. They gave them to him to draw from. I don't know if those are his packaging illustrations they used or not though. I'd have to ask. He has a couple different styles. That isn't one of them. However he's versatile enough to be able to do any style. The prototype limbs of course were molded in different colors. Pale green, yellow, orange, pink, maybe blue from what I recall. And they 'attached' with metal pins. But didn't stay on very well. He would have posed them then taken photos or Polaroids to draw from.
Yes, i had just spent my money on something stupid 😂 from toysrus to find this later at kaybee at the mall for $35.99. I already broke the stupid toy whatever it was that i bought at toysrus and couldn’t return it. Was devastated lol
Just dug out mine and was trying to figure out what accessories they came with, thanks. This Alien looks so much better than my Kenner Scorpion exploding alien, but both pale compared to my McFarlane AVP alien.
I really love to see some more of the Predators & Aliens/Xenomorph Figures from the Kenner Line in some of your Reviews just to see some of the other Variants or Designs they made
I have always been a big fan of predator and I love the Kenner predator toy line. I have a whole collection of Kenner predator including the huge ultimate alien hunter. I am 11 years old but I just still love toys including these. Don’t you agree?

If you want to play with Alien and/or Predator. I do recommend this kenner's collection. The kids enjoy much more this kind of simple and resistent action figures. I do not imagine a child playing with a Neca's or Mc Farlane's figure, not to mention the expensive Hot toy's ones.

I like the alien movies WAY better, and I like the aliens a little better than the predators, my fav alien movie is the second one "Aliens" with the marines and stuff. Predators are cool too though.
if the faces are done movie accurate, they can't be removable. they have to remove half the face in order to even put the masks on in the movies. full face doesn't fit. that's why they always change camera angles right as a mask is being taken off.

i bought the predator from this set from a flea market but the bad thing was it didn't come with the bio-mask, staff, or the blaster.
wow these guys were amazing for the time, but 21 years in the future Neca did a re-release on the same figures but much better.

You can't really compare the figures. They are made by two completely different companies, years apart, and for different purposes, play vs display.

The Predalien wasn't a thing until AVP Dual in about the mid 2000s I think.
Some of the Aliens are not cheap in that kenner line. The predators are the one now that are cheap.
