Let's stop praising men for doing what they should be doing. He didn't do her a favour, he is not a great person by the only fact of staying by her side. It's a great love story though, but let's stop normalising absent dads.

My daughter was on 16 and pregnant. Her mother flipped out! I was very disappointed. One thing that helped me was a simple fact that my mother shared with me. She said, "son, she won't be the first and she won't be the last." Amen!! It happens and as parents we have to teach our children that every choice we make has a consequence, good or bad. We will go through trial and error. We must learn from it. Most importantly we have to support our children through it all!
    God bless!!

I'm just watching this and my heart goes out to you. But I'm a mother of a teenager that had a baby at 15. I could see your mom position too. I was devastated when I found out too. I cried, I was mad, angry, sad and all these motions that go through your head. I didn't find out she was pregnant until she was 6 months. By this time with no prenatal care the baby had severe problems. I talked to her all the time about sex and the consequences. I just wish kids would see and understand that not everything turns out right. I hope this helps girls see that it could happen with just one time!!! Im happy that things turn out good for you and your baby. Much appreciated with your story!!!

My best friend, and another close friend got pregnant at 15. It was really crazy but they both got thru it at the time. We're all now 32 and they're all healthy and happy families
Young pregnancy is a really hard thing, that can go really bad without support. But I'm so happy for you, and my friends, that it worked out in the end! ❤ You're a tough and powerful mother. I'm proud of you, and my friends. Motherhood is the hardest job

both my girls got pregnant at 18. they were so afraid to tell me but both were shocked at my response. I was super happy! told them baby's are blessings. I wanted them to not stress and enjoy the pregnancy and give me healthy grandkids. I now have 7 grandbabies..my oldest had twins her 1st time. I'm proud that both girls took responsibility and are great parents. still with the fathers. it works out !

First, I'm glad you started your comments just below your video, as well as the video itself, stating your position on teen pregnancy. What you went through isn't something that I, as a man, can relate to. I can only begin to imagine. My wife and I watched your video together. We have watched many of your cooking videos and absolutely love you and your content. We are both impressed by you. I want to thank you for your dedication to the content you create, but, more importantly, your dedication to and love for your family.
I further would like to commend your father for being who he was to you when you most needed the support. He sounds like he was a great father and a great man. I won't take any cheap shots at your mother as I've never walked in her shoes. Taking cheap shots is easy to do and cowardly when done from behind a keyboard on the internet. It doesn't help anyone and is unnecessary. I commend you for giving her credit for your becoming a responsible young woman.
Lastly, I really appreciate that you have put yourself out there in such a vulnerable and honest way...and also how you've offered to speak to other young girls who are going through something similar and need someone who understands to speak with. You should know that your are a credit to young mothers and YOU make a difference in the world. You matter. I believe wholeheartedly that you will continue to grow and be a wonderful mother, wife and will be loved and appreciated by many in the years to come. Blessings to you and your family. You're someone I would love to count as a friend and wish I had the personal opportunity to get to know you and your family. I'm @Hookmeistr

You make a difference by sharing this experience and what you learned from it. I admire you for your integrity to include this on your channel and teach these important life lessons. Your message about prenatal vitamins with the extra folic acid during the first months of pregnancy is so important for everyone to know to prevent major birth defects like spina bifida.

Wow, Claudia! You’re brave and I must commend your husband...and your dad. You’re mother was probably hurt underneath all that anger... but love for you was always there. All in time things smooth over and it’s possible because of her reaction your husband and father were able to shine and be there for you when she couldn’t. A mothers love is like no other and very strong but so complex.....Thank you for sharing your story. I too have experienced difficult times with my mother but we have prevailed and are each others biggest cheer leaders. I’m proud of you and the person you are that I can see as a relatively new subscriber. You and your husband are wonderful parents. You have a beautiful family. Claudia your story is so similar to mine! I had my son at 16 years old. I will never forget the day my parents found out I was pregnant, it was December 4th 2004 I was already 7 months into my pregnancy and not once did I go to a doctors appt nor took prenatal or iron pills. Long story short I know what you went through and how you felt 100% we were both still kids ourselves and weren’t in the right state of mind because we were young and trying to figure out life. I remember when I held my son for my the first the first words I said to him was sorry, sorry for not taking care of you the way I was supposed to! Now 15 years later God send him to me when he did at a young age because he knew I needed him, he’s my first unconditional love, he’s such a smart, talented, gentleman and may I say handsome young man :) everything happens for a reason and just like you Claudia we are two strong woman! And just like you I am still with my sons Dad, going for 17 years this month and with our second son who’s 9 years old. God Bless you and your beautiful family!

This made me emotional. SOooo relateable!!! I was 16 & pregnant. It broke my heart for my daddy to find out i was pregnant. He said "not my baby" im a daddys girl so it was tough to feel like i have failed him. 😭😭😭😢😢 but that didnt change how he treated me like it did my mom....He is my #1 supporter!!! & My daughters favorite #1 papa! They have such an amazing bond!!! 💖 My mom was never a fan of me anyways...its sad some of our mothers just arent nurturers as they should be. Its tough & still hurts as adults but we got to be strong for our babies & raise em to be kind & respectful. Those hard times we go through growing up is humbling, so we can raise kind humble beings!!! 😊😊💖💖💖 sorry you had to go through that. Its another type of lonely feeling when your mother doesnt support you! You are loved. Dont ever forget!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽💖💖💖 loved this video. 😊😊

Claudia, I got pregnant at 18 years old and I went through similar situation. The only difference was my Dad was really mad more than my Mom. You were fortunate that the father stuck by you, I was left alone to figure it all out on my own. Today when I think about it I cry and it still hurts, so you are not alone with the way you feel about it today. I cried when you told your story because I relived through you, it was really a awful time for me! I'm 55 years old now and my life is wonderful and you will look back on it as I do as a part of life's lessons. I've watched your channel for awhile now and came across this one and thought wow we have so much in common. I am Hispanic and know how Mexican parents can be about raising they're kids and what they want for they're children's futures. You learned from that situation and god gave you that gift of a child for a reason. Your a great Mom and have a wonderful family! God bless and take care.❤❤❤

😭😭😭 I feel you on this so much. My mom was mad too but I had no financial support to rely on. She told me she wont take care of my baby but she will buy everything he/she needs, from the get go she told me it isnt her responsibility to physically care for my child. I think the pain comes more from seeing the reaction in your mom, the hurt and anger in their eyes... Seeing your story now, makes me appreciate my mom for supporting me not only financially but physically taking me to appts. BIG PROPS TO THE MEN(your dad and husband) IN YOUR LIFE THOUGH. YOU ARE BLESSED.

You owe SO MUCH so your dad!!! He behaved as a real man does in a difficult situation, which helped you through it then and even now as you remember back on it. He held the family together. Yet the greatest thing he did for you was already accomplished by that time; all the time you were growing up in his house he set the example to you of how a real man behaves. Its not an accident that you were attracted to a young man with similar qualities. Yet I'm sure if you asked him he would say "It was nothing; this is the only way I know how to be".

Wow! So emotional your story...the chankla didn't come flying at you 😱 Your mom had high hopes for you. I'm really happy your dad was supportive and that your bf took care of you and stood by your side ❤ its always a shock to find out that your lil' girl is pregnant, us moms always want the best. Happy endings for sure 👍 much hugs

Crystal Jimenez thank you so much beautiful, 😘I do my best to be the best Mom they can possibly have and to give them the best education and help them become whatever it is they want to be, and not to have an excuse to not accomplish what it is that they want in life. Life is thought but without the struggles we wouldn’t be the person we are today ☺️😇

I'm glad I follow ur channel. U came along ways and should be proud of yourself. I can't imagine being that young and pregnant. I was 18yrs and pregnant and I was so devastated. Went through a struggle and now our son is 21 in college. Having supportive parents is everything. Happy ur dad was very supportive. Special fathers

you are very brave to share your story. I am sure your mom regrets the things she said and missing those special moments with you during your pregnancy. I am sure she wanted more for you and knew how hard life could be. It's not easy being pregnant at 15 and she knew that. You should feel proud of yourself...how far you have come since those days. Your journey isn't over and I wish you well
