Magnets do not always fully contact surface and the battery leads can pop the canopy. I put a sliding latch in the back of mine. It is a joy to fly . Can drop a wing if too slow and susceptible to side winds on take off
John. So sorry to see this plane of yours having issues out the box. I have one too that still pending an assembly and maiden. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the next maiden. I’ll keep my fingers crossed it all goes well. Take care, Brad.
Sounded great, and it sure flew and landed well. I'm glad the canopy didnt go into grass or blackberries. I've had more than a few do that, and send me on a snipe hunt. 8 channel receiver?
Beautiful plane, beautifully flown. Ever since MRC beefed up the power system I’ve been jonesing for one. Love it. My dad knew the pilot, Clifton Jolley. Glad he had a successful ejection and soft landing. 👌🏼😉
Looks like the metal loop on the battery strap being on the edge of the battery may not have let the canopy seat fully? I have two canopies for mine, one heavier with HT FPV and never a problem.
I've had this issue with a similar hatch system....I glued a #8 washer around the hole in the canopy, and that filled enough gap that this never happened again.
Where are you gonna fly when they finish this construction? Also are you sponsored or do you buy all your equipment? Seems like you have a lot of nice (expensive) gear....
Good question, and that limits the things I buy, as I have no other place with this much runway. I buy 99% of the stuff, I have been sent a few planes. This one I bought.
Lol! my Lambert Kolibri turbine powered Freewing Sabre ruclips.net/video/W-uQPb0yjiQ/видео.html had exactly the same problem on her maiden (not on video, only a picture). I thought it was because of the power and the speed of the turbine, but now I see it's obviously the cabin locking / construction itself :)
Not like we've ever had that happen on a maiden. luckily you found it and was able to get to it.
Nice maiden, glad the canopy was ok, love the F/86 👍🇺🇸

Good idea, thanks!
Trials and tribulations. Nicely done.👊👊🍷🍷
Eject! Eject! Eject! That looked cool lol. Thank you John
We need to get out and test our F-86’s again soon! 👊🏻💥👊🏻
I would like to see both F-86's flying.
I'll film it for ya 😉
Great flight, sorry about issues. You will take care of it and she well be fine. Glad the canopy is good 👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
right side up...a good sign 😎👍
Beautiful flight john. Landing was really nice even without the pilot. 👍👍👍thumbs up 👍 for the wheelie to 👍👍✌️
She flies well!
Looking good John. You remembered the first rule in an aviation crisis..."Fly the @#$%& airplane!" Thank you for sharing. Jim
I'm glad it flew nicely for you. Very happy you were able to recover the canopy. I hope MRC takes notice and ups their game a little. AirHammer out!!
Very cool! Thank you for sharing!
Awesome jet. Awesome flying bud. They all seem to dk that
Hey John, had a similar issue with my flight line ov-10 Bronco where the canopy flew off on it, bummer that it happened to you too

Best of luck on yours! It flies very good, excited to get it back out there!
@@JohnVHRC Thank you John. 👍👋😊
Well done, guys! 👍🏻
Nice flight

Yes
Lovely wheelie:) I hope FW or HK brings back the Mig17. This sabre reminds me so much of her.
Love my HK mig! Banana has it now

Oh wow, cool!

Good question, Ill be looking closer at that next time!

Nice bro she flies awesome!!!!
It really does, cant wait for another flight on it! Thanks man!

Good landing for having the pilot eject, 😂
That's great!
Pilot ejected safely. Landing was beautiful!
Looks like you need to put a lip in the front. Of course more magnets would help too but a lip may be better…
Thats a thought, I could glue something in there, good idea!
Lol!

More like a MONDAY.
So many RC videos now with bait titles. Is the canopy popping off a failure? Don't miss the ending??? Of what??? Thumbs down on this one.
I thought the end was funny, a part falling off your plane isnt a failure?
Boo to David. 🤡 Come on, lighten up Francis!
