I can tell you that this looks identical to Lord of the Rings: War, which is exactly one of those types of games. I don't think this game will be very good
There's nothing wrong with Rise of Kingdoms. You just need to survive the start of the game (the first 90 days), and then just participate in battles every 50 days of the game. I don’t argue that it’s boring, but it makes those long-awaited battles more interesting. However, I do not argue that without money and secondary games (except RoK) it is impossible to play Rise of Kingdoms for a long time

Every Base building game for mobile is a p2w game. Literally every single one. Mobile games are only made for this aspect, nothing else. "Soccer mums" as we call them in game development. Get used to it. I actually like games where I can pay some bucks for a great game. But they always expect their player to be a 17.000€/day player.
I did some digging and it is full of micro transactions, and is barely an RTS at all, more of an "empires" style citybuilder with RPG elements set in a fictitious universe (AOE has has fictitious elements, but this seems full fantasy style)

Don't get it, this type of game you can find to dozens already in the app stores. Especially this overworld design and troop movement I've seen multiple times on adds already. Why make a simple copy of that and not a turn based AoE like the DS/3DS games?

A classic AoE game would work well in mobile/touch, but it feels risky for big publishers to try something new. That's why they always choose to copy some other popular games. Edit: An example was Apex Legends, with a great port with almost no changes from the main version and even a team deathmatch game mode on release. But it got shut down by EA in May 2023, probably because of low mtx sales.

Level Infinite is a total failure 1. Doesn't know the slightest about weapons, but still tried to copy Escape from Tarkov 2. PUBG mobile has been sunk into the pit 3. Now they are tarnishing AOE It's obvious that this will be another game with a maximum rating of 4.0 on the Play Store (between you and me, they just copied Honor of Kings)
I agree, I miss castle siege. It was really fun rewatching people struggle against my castle defenses. I still have the app on my phone but it will never connect since the servers are down.

Hm, AOE Mobile looks like a pretty generic game. The cards, like "???", are confusing, and the workers seem to be bigger than the houses 😅. From the trailer, the combat doesn't seem very appealing to me either. Anyway, I hope the game is not pay-to-win and that it's still exciting!

1:19 just seeing that, and its already telling me, it will have some sort of stamina meter, that limits what you can do daily, and has buildings that will use real time to upgrade, it wont be a speedy match between players, but rather a game that u build up your own kingdom, similar to clash of clans. Pay2win aspects might be there, but who knows...

I prefer if this game were more like a long-term MOBA game, where we only need to upgrade commanders permanently to maintain a fixed level that will never be reset. With a playing time of 1 or 2 months, we will build up levels before engaging in battles, with one player becoming the king, and if they die, all allies will suffer a 50% debuff. Once the battle is over, we search for matches again with more or less the same gameplay.
God I hope it's not one of those "wait 10 hours for this building to complete" games

Castle Siege was nothing like Age Of Empires. It was basically a Clash of Clans game with Age Of Empires theme.
