Volk, ans Gewehr/People to Arms is a German song that was popular in 1931, the decomposition and lyrics were written by Arno Pardun who dedicated the song to Joseph Goebbles. Much later, the song was adopted by the Volksstrum as its song. This song is also considered as war preparation song for the Second World War and as a subtle education for National Socialists. This version was sung by the SS and SA Choirs and conducted by Alfred Engel.

“People to the guns!” was not originally the song of the German Voklssturm. The song was written in 1931, was dedicated to Joseph Goebbels and was used in SA marches. Later in the propaganda film "The Polish Campaign" from 1940. Towards the end of the war, this song was further used for propaganda purposes in connection with the mass mobilization and the resulting "Volkssturm".
