I think that what I like the most about Cantabile and the Agent archetype is that they force interaction in exchange for a substantial reward. This is the biggest downfall of Standard Bearers design wise, they're not actually required to do anything, drop them, press S1, see them do nothing, and profit. It has always frustrated me just how efficient these skills are for how boring and noninteractive they are. If anything this is a breath of fresh air.
I believe the intended trade-off or interactive element in their design for that higher DP generation is that you give up on the flagbearer's own block count during skill uptime. Of course that's an issue promptly solved by vomiting out 29 defenders with those DP so in practice the downside never comes up and all you're left with is net gain in spades.
Sorry if you are just being ironic (new player here) but isn’t siege considered to be the “worst” 6* vanguard? Just asking because I got her as an off banner but didn’t pay much attention to her since cantabile seems to be more effective/cheaper to raise.

Only having 1-block and low damage off-skill hurts Cantabile for this purpose. I'm speaking from my own experience, since she was the first 6-star I got. I implore you not to listen to the "Siege bad" meme. The power gap between 5-star pioneers (Texas, Zima, Chiave) and Siege is very notable outside CC.
@@-Seaheart- I had the big 3 of release (exu, eyja, silverash) but I still chose to e2 my siege first when I was new. Her s2 is really good because it allows her to hold lanes far better than most pioneers, its big damage so it can deal with enemies with higher def, and its auto activation + sp regen from talent makes her a drop and forget. She by no means bad, the only one I can see being better than her is saga but you gotta pay attention to saga. But as a vanguard, its true she is not the best, but calling her bad is not true in the slightest. If you wanna be meta then do as the video says, bagpipe with myrtle/elysium/saileach. Also comparing canta with siege is lowkey dumb considering they dont overlap in their uses. But as a new player, build myrtle and then focus on other things lmao
Endgame-tier IS players like me will probably want to prioritize S1 since it synergizes better with the meta collectibles, allowing her to constantly flood you with DP if you get lucky. Or you could just M6 her, like I'm planning on doing. Yes, I am totally M6ing her because of her combat utility, and not because she is in desperate need of positive reinforcement.
this isn't really related, but imo her english VO blows some of the older ones out of the water and is one of the few ones that is better than their jp version(along with maybe indra and possibly ebon). generally the new en voice batches are doing pretty great.
One thing I found really cool with her English VO was when she was talking about her instruments. When she gets around to mentioning using the hidden blades in them, you can hear some added venom to what she says before she stops herself.
I actually got full pot of her during this banner and really REALLY enjoy her kit and role compression/playstyle so i've decided to save up to develop her to the same lvl as my other ops. She is so cute too c':
She's a good example for how ops might benefit from a sort of limiter mechanic. Go into a battle but you can freely adjust their level, skills, etc down below their current max. This way you can either choose to make the game harder as an endgame player or just to use operators that have something to gain from lower stats
Frankie Kevich's voice acting is basically perfect for Catabile imo. I feel like I can connect every nuance to her voice with a facet of the character's backstory.
One thing I love about Gacha games where they don't tell you how a name is pronounced is how everyone comes up with a totally different version and if the company ever decides to reveal how a name is pronounced, you wish they didn't xD "Kantahbilé" sounds quite funny I just call her "Kentabill" due to my German ass being special haha
Imagine Cantabile skill 1 with attackspeed buff from intergrated strategies, infinite sp basically. Otherwise just a very good sp farm early either way.
If it's 1 DP per attack, she could combo well with Stainless' sentries as both DPS and DP... Then again if you've got Stainless and his turrets on the field already, you wouldn't need that much DP for anything elsewise unless there's a DP-costing deployable like the cars... Agents are interesting.
I use her as a lord/instructor replacement for the start xD like going pioneer and then her for some nice dp generation. so she will always get the speed buff and still help later, when the vanguard got replaced with a tank
I like having operators that are unique in their lane, I have her at e1 70 and so far she is rarely a better option than Siege which is e2 lvl 50 s2m1., I'll e2 her because i don't like using e1 operators and i think she will be the best option in many cases after i give her lvl 50 m3.

@@frostyhotcocoa7809 that's the thing, the game mainly focuses on catering to the casuals, not the late game players (because making the game veteran-oriented means the new players won't spend money -> bad business -> cause of death of every gacha game) there are very specific ops which have a late game use (like aak). They can't make _all_ vanguards have a shorter redeployment time, that'll make the life of veterans too easy. They want you to pull for that one specific operator who'll make redeployment easier for you (and give hypergryph/yostar stonks lol)

It is because of AK game mechanics that turns off a lot of new players (source: my friends who only played AK for less than one week) -10s of rdp cooldown would not affect a new player's experience, in fact, 10s is not a major class buff to new players since they wouldn't touch late game content like CC, SSS and such, but it's extremely helpful when you play a lot of these content (including nicheknights) The reason some gacha games die is because of major powercrept(example: Tower of Saviors), if it's a class trait buff, it wouldn't affect a lot since Vanguards that have existed since the game launched will still benefit from the QoL Edit: I'm not saying that HG/AK should lower all Vanguard operators rdp cooldown by 10s, I'm asking for insight into the game implications behind why it shouldn't

The thing that I was waiting for is S1 vs S2 IF you don't have Bagpipe to make S2 instant activate. Because I don't have Bagpipe, and I have focused on her S1 since it's auto activation makes it easier to use.
I actually leave her at E0 (cuz Im poor AF) and suprisingly she actually work ok(ish). Low damage so she doesnt kill shit , generate ton of DP , cheap to redeploy , you dont need to waste 1 DP slot for the vanguard on the field , and you can have like 2-3 redeploy operator to cycle . Fun stuff .
I love her, and my opinion is absolutely not biased by the fact that after 70 pulls thats the only ops of the banner that I dropped. (I dropped her 7 times now, and it might continue...)
Idk about IS3 but I feel like she would be awesome in IS2. She practically replaces 2 units (vanguard and fast redeploy) since you really only need one of those each.

In general, C is pronounced /k/ before /a, o, ɔ, u, ǝ/, and pronounced as /s/ or /tʃ/ before /ɛ, e, i, eɪ/
