The last scene where Deepika's ghost says bye with tears in her eyes and a slight smile on her face, that alone is so powerful to evoke emotion. Shows her acting prowess in her debut itself. In such a lighthearted over the top film, that genuine expression always gets me and makes me emotional.
Yeah that scene itself proved that A STAR WAS BORN.

The reason why movie name is OM SHANTI OM...BECAUSE we see 2 OM'S one as struggler artist and one as superstar but we see only 1 Shanti...that om loved in his past life and his present life as well. It also shows that only OM was reincarnated and not SHANTI. I liked the climax, where OM waved in same manner as he did when he saw her first time in movie premiere and shaanti looked in same way (turning back). This movie is awesome...so glad you reacted this❤.

Actually it was so the producer (SRK's wife)would would get off shahrukh's back about suspicion of affairs with Deepika and actually produce the film "om Shanti Om" which translates to "keep calm and produce"

Nothing can get more bollywood than Om shanti Om. It was supposed to be melodramatic , the stand out for me were songs and some scenes especially with the slo-mo parts ,just iconic.
I lost it everytime Miguel said No NO NO NO to Shantipriya auditions 😆😆😆😆
The award scenes they did earlier in the movie was during an actual award show. They just waited at the red carpet and made the actors who arrived at the award show to say the lines😅
This movie shows farah and srk has a great relation with the insustry ppl for most of them to support
So did you guys notice that in ending scene Shanti side was represented by blue colour and cold colour which means death and Om side was represented by orange and warm colours which means Life.

I like how the Director Farah Khan did the end credits with bringing everyone in the video sequence. And then coming herself at the end. Otherwise the director usually comes first.

yeah..they deliberately exaggerated, according to that era, it was successful and the movie was loved by many people.
So good you both enjoyed the movie. In case you missed the details, Om is mentioned twice because Om was reincarnated, not Shanti. After his death, Om's body was cremated, which allowed him to be reincarnated. Shanti's body was never found, so she couldn't be cremated.....Her soul didn't find peace. That's why it's called Om Shanti Om. Sandy just looked like Shanti. She was just a normal girl..... And Gauri Khan is SRK's wife.... :))

This movie was our La la land before La la land the way it showed bollywood was so good they trolled bollywood like no one else could it's one of the best fun watch of SRK and cameos from 32 different actors frm various generation was icing on the cake.... I remember that song was just after interval which was huge reason I didn't go for loo break while watching in theatre

Would recommend checking out 'Karan Arjun' (1995) with Salman and SRK. It was *the* blockbuster movie of the 90s, and arguably the most famous reincarnation story out of Bollywood. 🧡

I would suggest you watch "Main Hoon Na," starring Shah Rukh Khan and India's first Miss Universe, Sushmita Sen.
You will also find Boman Irani in this movie as a dean in a comic role.
You will love this movie! It has unique comedy, brotherhood, Romance, a little bit of patriotism, (Ind-Pak), and a SRK as a soldier "undercover" (as a student) trying to cope with the new generation kids in college.
There is a reference to this movie in "Om Shanti Om," where Sandy is watching "Main Hoon Na" on TV while getting bored with Shanti's movie.
Also, there is a reference in the award function as "Main Bhi Hoon Na."
