I think Big Finish should think more about what to do in box sets and what to do in separate releases. Honestly, I think splitting up such a connected storyline like Dark Gallifrey: Morbius feels unnecessary, whilst stuff like Sontarans vs Rutans works well in a monthly schedule. Another thing I would like to see them try is the following: For the connected sets like Death and Life of River Song, put it in a box set but release it weekly. You get the box set in your app with only one episode available or showing up and every week you can refresh it to get the next episode. After every story is released digitally the full cd box set is sent out. So in future you get the whole box set, but when it released every episode could breathe a bit. Like, imagine if we got one half hour episode of The Eternity Club for two months instead of four releases over four months.
Agreed, it should be less about which release format works best overall and more about what format fits each story they're trying to tell. Also I'd defintly love for them to try out that approach, if I remember correctly it's kinda how series three of the Eighth Doctor Adventures originally came out so there's a precedent of sorts for it.
As someone who likes to put things in Doctor Timeline chronological order on my shelf I really appreciated Sontarans vs Rutans not being a box set as it meant I could put each story in the relevant doctors section on my shelf rather than all together.
The way I look at a box set from big finish they are movies which tell an overall arch story which if you have the time in the money worth getting into. But if you just a simple cheap(ish) one shot story the single releases are the way to go.

Give me more Lucie Miller
The only problem with the new monthly releases is I find that I'm listening to the first story and then forgetting to pick up the next one.

I think the sontaran ruton was good as individual but 13th doctor is strange as other doctors are on box set
With price increases, you have to pick and choose. Particularly if you end up not enjoying stories that much that you paid for in a box set.
Great news ben and Luke
I'm really glad about this
Honestly. I never cared much for the boxsets in the first place.
