You have only heard this song once and already you like it. I have listened to this song a thousand times, imagine how much I love it. What a wonderful song to have at a wedding.
Thank you for taking us along on this musical journey. We've been hoping there would be another generation who would follow along with us and cherish these memories. And for what it counts (big!), Ringo's drumming and tuning is a lesson in itself.
There are so many components to this arrangement, it's astounding. Tasty drum track from Ringo, Paul's extraordinary bass lines, George's gorgeous vocal, Martin's subtle string backing, Billy Preston wailing on the organ and the tastiest guitar solo ever! Hail George!
From the first album I ever owned, "Meet the Beatles" until today, I still marvel at the catalog of music these men put out. Thank you for these reactions, which bring back soooo many wonderful memories. You get to listen to them the same way I did. The marvel is that they never grow old. 😎
Considering humanity's respect for "weddings" and marriage, I would classify this song as more of a soulmate. This song represents more of a "you complete me" feel. Not, what society says relationships are...but what you (and your partner) simply...ARE.
Sublime song played to perfection. I've heard it a thousand times and it still moves me and I still pick out different subtleties to listen to. Wonderful to watch someone discover it anew. The way they play here on their last album makes me wonder what would have come next if they stayed together.
Beatle fans have heard that guitar solo on Something so many times, we tend to take it for granted. But just give it another listen, you'll see how perfect it is.
George Martin's production took this to a whole other level. But it's more than just a love song. Much like of the rest of the album the mood is full of "the melancholy of all things finished." They knew this was the end, at least subconsciosuly.
Two of the best love songs were wrote for the same person. George Harrison wrote 'Something' for his first wife Patti Boyd! Eric Clapton later married her and wrote 'Wonderful Tonight' for Patti, he also wrote Layla for her. She must be some woman!?

the beauty of the Beatles is that all of them came into the picture. To make the art.... Three great writers and one decent one. But what he lack in song writing he made up in drums.. totally change the way how a left handed person plays the drums..... Legends
I used to play piano/organ for wedding ceremonies, and one time I was playing Pachelbel's Canon in D (which is lovely but repetitive af) and I zoned out/forgot what I was playing and just as they got to the altar I was rounding out the ending of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (another Beatles/Harrison classic like this one). I didn't even know I'd done it until I saw the footage and heard myself do it. So I guess they didn't 'choose' a George Harrison/Beatles song for their wedding, but they got one anyway... :) PS Please do "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" soon btw! This story will be even funnier when you hear how sombrely it ends on an a minor chord, which is not the tone anybody wants 'set' when they arrive at the altar to face their beloved and make promises of hopefulness and joy. :)
George didn't write many Beatle songs but when he did it was killer.

@@errantcondor9349 outstanding album. I play it a lot myself.
@@karlshuler1011 My favorite track is Wah Wah by far.
Thank you for taking us along on this musical journey. We've been hoping there would be another generation who would follow along with us and cherish these memories. And for what it counts (big!), Ringo's drumming and tuning is a lesson in itself.
I'm so glad you discovered this song, by any means... It is pure love.
If you haven't done a reaction already, listen to Yesterday
There are so many components to this arrangement, it's astounding. Tasty drum track from Ringo, Paul's extraordinary bass lines, George's gorgeous vocal, Martin's subtle string backing, Billy Preston wailing on the organ and the tastiest guitar solo ever! Hail George!
This is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. RIP 🙏 George Harrison you may be gone, but not forgotten.
How beautiful is that song?! The bass is just class. .
I am glad you are a Beatles Fan.....now you know and feel the way we of the 60's felt about them. Good for you.
From the first album I ever owned, "Meet the Beatles" until today, I still marvel at the catalog of music these men put out. Thank you for these reactions, which bring back soooo many wonderful memories. You get to listen to them the same way I did. The marvel is that they never grow old. 😎
You have to listen to "in my life" and "Elenore Rigby"
In My Life is my absolute favorite Beatles song.
You discovering and loving the Beatles makes my heart happy.
Considering humanity's respect for "weddings" and marriage, I would classify this song as more of a soulmate. This song represents more of a "you complete me" feel. Not, what society says relationships are...but what you (and your partner) simply...ARE.
Pleeeeaaaaassseee, listen to Eleanor Rigby. It is pretty much a genre on its own
Sublime song played to perfection. I've heard it a thousand times and it still moves me and I still pick out different subtleties to listen to. Wonderful to watch someone discover it anew. The way they play here on their last album makes me wonder what would have come next if they stayed together.
This song has probably been played millions of weddings
Beatle fans have heard that guitar solo on Something so many times, we tend to take it for granted. But just give it another listen, you'll see how perfect it is.
And now: the psychedelic Beatles, Tomorrow Never Knows.
She Said She Said, I Am the Walrus, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite....more psychedelic lovelies.
Yes do Tomorrow Never Knows or others like She Said She Said. I am the Walrus or Lucy in Sky with Diamonds
@@jamiehunt5375 ..and Rain!
and "I'm Only Sleeping". An underrated gem if there ever was one.
Dr. Robert!
This is my go-to song when I pick up my acoustic guitar. Play it all the time!
George Martin's production took this to a whole other level. But it's more than just a love song. Much like of the rest of the album the mood is full of "the melancholy of all things finished." They knew this was the end, at least subconsciosuly.
Played this song for my wife on our anniversary every year for 40 years. I loved her so much and I miss her.
Two of the best love songs were wrote for the same person. George Harrison wrote 'Something' for his first wife Patti Boyd! Eric Clapton later married her and wrote 'Wonderful Tonight' for Patti, he also wrote Layla for her. She must be some woman!?
Unanimously recognized as one of the most beautiful (if not THE most beautiful) balad in the history of music. Tread lightly, man. You’re steping on holy ground.
"Something in the way she moves, attracts me like no other lover... clicking on 'Skip Ad' could be the worst financial mistake you've ever made." Gotta love RUclips.
I KNOW😠
"In My Life" by the Beatles is one of my favorites.
Mcartney/Harrison harmonies are amazing
I've been listening to these songs for fifty years and it's so great to watch the reactions of someone who never heard them before and they are as moved as you are
Just simply beautiful ! Also listen to "the long & winding road "
You've hardly scratched the surface, there is soooooo much more to the Beatles, thanks for bringing them to us, love to to hear your reaction .
I have to say, both you and Rob Squad are so wholesome.
the beauty of the Beatles is that all of them came into the picture.
PS Please do "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" soon btw! This story will be even funnier when you hear how sombrely it ends on an a minor chord, which is not the tone anybody wants 'set' when they arrive at the altar to face their beloved and make promises of hopefulness and joy. :)
