That's crazy that it was hot! It normally is so mild in San Fran. Meanwhile in Hawaii....this Irish girl is melting.

I was surprised to find out Tipperary is in Ireland because I grew up hearing the song being sung by Brits in old war movies so I assumed it was in Britain. Sean is so cute when he brings out the stronger accent. You know we love the Irish brogue in America.

Ah eat a fry up with a few slices of boxty and you will be fed for the day. Although I became aware at secondary school (has a West of Ireland teacher) that unless you are from the lakelands area of Ireland (Longford, Cavan, Leitrim and Monaghan) there is a high chance you have never heard of it. You can get it in 3 different formats - Pan, Loaf and Boiled Boxty. All of them are delicious fried on the pan after frying the rashers and sausages or with a big blob of Kerrygold. Cant wait for me fry up when I leave Lebanon at the end of the month.

Fun story about this video. I moved in Ireland last January and when my housemate and I were looking for the rags to clean the kitchen tables, we asked our landlord, who was on his way out. he said "They're right them in the press" made a vague hand gesture, and left us looking like morons looking around the kitchen trying to figure out if we'd heard him correctly. And then I remembered the messages in the press. Cupboard=Press. check.

I LOVED it when people would speak half Irish to me because it made me feel SO much better that when I actually tried to speak Gaeilge, it came out half Irish and half English anyway, so I guess that means I was speaking like a local? Yeah? At least the fact that I could understand the Irish parts?

This is legit the most accurate thing I've ever watched in my life. I am iriah this is so true omg. People around me always call things the messages so I get that omg. Press is a good name tho tbh. I don't say jaysus a lot but my friend does and I love it and I laughed all the way through this but when you said "eating strange yokes" (to use an Irish phrase) I was in a hoop haha. And btw boxty is another thing spuds can be made into, it's like a thick potato cake but you can cut it to whatever size you want. Makes great healthy burger buns tbh!! Haha.
I also have absolutely no idea whatsoever what a "buttered turnover" is but if they're associated with Ireland I want to at leat try one lol

And they're just so damn good. Chips are not fries. Chips are thinly sliced taters fried in grease with salt and/or other flavorings.
