Amazing what you can spot if you look close. Not sure why this car is so chipped. I would classify this car as nice but not in restored condition, which is why the price is not 60k.
Prob cuz was wrecked , straightened & repainted
@@johnwalker863 True I never thought about that. My older brother bought this same car new for about 3400 I think it had a 327. But I could be wrong about the engine.
I think there is more things that don't work than does. Sounds kind of pricey.
Nick 4 years ago I purchased a 1966 4-door 396 4-speed for 9k . Everything worked , except needed a throw out bearing . Your price seems ridiculous with all that needs attention . Just my thought .
Naw is just out of your price range that's all
Keep them coming Nick , you sure do have some good cars 99% of the time .
It's gonna need 15 to 20k to be able to drive it
BULL SH⚡️T it must have been a rust bucket cause no way you will find this car for 9k. Maybe price is a tad high maybe it’s not but sick of comments from people who have nothing and just love typing absolute bs.- shoulda woulda coulda .Who has time to post bs constantly is beyond comprehension. If your not buying why post
@@billm4078 Hey brain dead Bill , I have many toys so you can shove it dude !
Cut that price in half
Good afternoon, Nick. To be honest, after seeing all the problems this car has, all the paint chips, scratches, dents and previous poor bodywork that's rusting back through, all the items that don't work (wipers, horn, heater, turn signals and gas guage) I am truly suprised that Maple Motors bought it or even took it in on trade!! 98% of your vehicles are pretty awesome usually but this one is just gonna be a nightmare for whoever buys it!!! I wouldn't mess with it. Good luck with the sale. 😢
A 600 cam carb on a 454?? Would like to see oil pressure after the idle adjustment…probably 15 psi. Not only is it rough, but that engine has problems.
I thought big blocks should have more oil psi then that, my 350 idles at 30 psi
Nice ride, it’s sad to think that you could pick up the same car in that condition in the 1980’s for around $4500
I don't think the brake lights are working
To much wrong with it for what you are asking Nick and you know I love you’re channel and what you do 👍
What a steal absolutely nothing works on this...... lol
Sharp 66 I’m gonna get one up there one day
it was not a radio delete wiper delete blinker delete ball joint delete interior delete when new lol
Great looking ride. A big block, 4-speed Chevelle with nice paint, what else could you want?
(well, maybe brake lights )✌🏼
Nice 66 that needs a bunch of odds n ends, but it is a true 138 vin chevelle so there's definite $ to be made in this sweet chevelle
SS with a Malibu dash clone then
Super nice chevelle nick ! With a little love, fix odds & ends that probably a 50'000 grand true SS ! 👍✌
Can't believe that people stick all that money in these cars and wipers and horns don't work that would drive me crazy
Interesting it only has 25 psi oil pressure with the idle over 1000 rpm. Not good for a big block.
25 psi of oil pressure at (what sounded like) 1500 rpm is no bueno. Hope it's just a gauge issue.........
Where is the console? Bench seat car maybe in past bucket seats look added seats look incorrectl maybe 136vin number or 138
Still love these cars from my youth. In bad shape they are better than the current styles
One. Of my favorites
I also think this camera works better, videos looking great !!
Question, how can you make a car like this more highway friendly? I was under the impression that
a big engine like this would make for an easy ride on the highway. Is it the transmission that needs to be modified to get better displacement?
rear end gearing
@@dopeytripod Thanks for the response. For todays highways where speeds are 70+ would be better to modify the gears to reach those speeds
I would just change out the gear in the rear end
Or could install an aftermarket overdrive unit behind the trans.
No way it way over price maybe 16000 th
A real SS means +10k to any Chevelle
Beautiful ride 👍 Nick.
Nice car, the lot must be for rich city boys you got some expensive rides
Maybe they hung a fun-stick pedal when they pulled the original drivetrain? I’m thinking the stock steering column had a PRNDL handle- whatever was done to (inexpertly) replace it probably ties in to the rest of the “not working” issues.
The lifter tick and home-jobbed body work in and of themselves are - to me- immediate disqualifiers.
SS 66/67 chevelles ARE hotter than A gulp of ghost pepper sauce… but if the wholesale (buy in) was $34k- I’m surprised this one made it to the MM lot.
Looks like a long costly punch list to get this one 100% functional
O.k….I’ll shut the hell up. She sold in a day!
I'd be at 18.000.00 at best. No heat, wipers, rust, patched trunk, no spedo, fuel gage...✌
Sounds like this ride has a 2.20 close-ratio trans, with probably around 4.88 gears in the rear. Good for quarter-mile sprints, but sucks for daily driving. A rear end gear of around 3.55 or so would be far more practical.
I love that color in this unit
Great looking Chevelle!!!
Nice car
Nice car but it sold that what I am looking for wen I am ready to get one
What gear you wreckon is in that rear prolly 456 ?
It needs a little love, but it's a true SS. Chevelle nice 👍 👍
Love that ride
Love that color
Wow another beauty!
Lots of critics in here talking about how this man should sell these cars.
Right lol Yet I sell 60 a month and they can’t figure it out
@@MapleMotorsNickSouthgate keep up the good work
It's hard to find and the price is cheap, it will sell fast!
It did, people don’t realize a real SS is close to 50k now
Wow
That engine is not running right. Manual steering too?
Not much working on that , still a nice ass ride!
Damn I wish I had the money...
I like this intro song better Nick. Keep this one
Hell yeah
Nice ride brother
Cool chevy ss love the colour 😎 some repair and you have a great chevy stylish ss, thanks Nick great video stay cool 😎 😎 😊 🤟
Nice to bad nothing works .
I would recommend someone looking at the 66 chevelles there to buy the Malibu nice solid original car and a lot less work especially on the body
SS Chevelle at Ole' Maple Motors!
Nice muscle car
That is a pretty son o buck
Dam
It has about 10k+ worth of work that needs to be done... 36k lil bit pricey
Looks nice but nothing works
👀...👍🔥😍🔥👍
We are paying too much for these though. Driving the prices up to where it’s no fun anymore. Everyone afraid to drive them! So then , what the fuck good are they ? Just get a plastic model and place it on the shelf to look at.
That's not true as ether they came with396 or427
Nice chevelle nick.
