His vulnerability is so organically human that no matter who you are, you can see yourself in him. That’s a power that not many beings have the opportunity to tap into but Nathaniel makes it seem so tangible. I’m inspired, encouraged, & enlightened by his honesty & willingness to share the imperfections that many of us feel that we are safer by hiding. Every single video of his that I’ve watched has gifted me with joy & understanding.
      Keep being phenomenal, Nathaniel! 🙏🏾✨

reminds me of a tweet i saw several years ago that was like "Some poor, phone-less fool is probably sitting next to a waterfall somewhere totally unaware of how angry and scared he's supposed to be". Of course there's lots of problems boiling up right now, but it's a good reminder that, like you suggested, we need to ground ourselves & focus on what we can control

Nathaniel is literally a RUclipsr that I strive to be like. I'm 28 and life hit me pretty hard after high school. I used to live in Miami being around street violence, guns, death, and I even used to eat $3 a day, 25 cents noodles, expired toast and canned Campbell tomato soup. I survived the Boston Marathon Bombing which was a few feet away and I saw all the blood the people screaming and I was alone at 18. I also used to live in a room with no kitchen, trash bag as a window and bugs crawling on me at night. I also took boxing to protect myself and learned how to defend against bigger threats. Now I live in a nordic wood cabin in the north of Sweden where I go down to a lake to breathe and heal my past and I post on RUclips to help others who need it the most 🙏🏽💜

I have lived in Vienna for 35 years. A lot has changed during this time. Vienna is still a beautiful city, but the influence of the European Union is starting to shrink everything and it starts to get interesting. Only a few of us are talking about it, but I have the impression that politicians are to blame for many failures in "Europe". For example Angela Merkel has absolutly failed! She let in a lot of refugees who were only interested in our social system. There were no consequences for her or other interested parties. I have the impression that it is done deliberately. The biggest problem is that they have built a system in which they are practically non-contactable and they do not want us to live better, they only want them to live better. If you are rich you earn with them. If you're poor it doesn't get fun. the cold war now being waged on Ukraine's soil is being used to take money out of people's pockets. Exactly the same with Corona! The state pumped money into this shit to let us citizens pay it back. but no one asked us for our opinion. We were all just idiots?! Meanwhile we know that Corona was a joke.

I feel that with the pandemic especially, the magnitude and diversity of struggle and hardship experienced is impossible group into one. Some of us scraped by inside without losing a single person we know while others watched their countries collapse, families disappear, and governments dissolve to chaos. I’m not saying any piece of work will resonate with all people nor does it have the responsibility to do so, but I can’t help but think we can learn and grow from hard times without thinking it was important for it to be this way. That two contradicting truths can exist at the same time. It’s easy for the unscathed to reflect on a year of lockdown and say, it happened for a reason! But I’m sure that same logic falls flat when someone’s family has turned into gravestones. I really appreciate the vigor with which you’d like to capture the emotions in the human experience, but I would love to see a greater range of that human experience captured. A less rosy, more realistic and empathetic picture that feels more akin to what we see when we look around.

I love this. I love your videos, also your parents videos.
I’m 52 and at 34 I had an awakening. I craved depth of communication so I started facilitating “Voluntary Simplicity” courses. This has shaped my life, my friends and creative works for the better. Keep on keeping on. ❤

@@michalsoldat8548 I think it is charming! The long, rambling descriptive words with super-duper specific meanings. It is a wonderful language with a lot of character

I lived in Vienna as an aupair over a decade ago so it was nice to revisit it. Often in the coffee houses you would see business men with the big broadsheet newspapers. It was quite a sight when there was lots of them. I wondered if that’s still a thing given things are more digital? I organised lots of these sorts of meet ups until the pandemic came along, primarily within the couch surfing community. It can be amazing and vibrant but also transient. Like you said, we are all in cycles and everything has it’s time.

By cultivating a positive mindset and seeking lessons in difficult experiences, we can find meaning and purpose even in the darkest moments. The secret lies in our ability to adapt, learn, and remain hopeful despite the hardships. Moreover, the video's message of finding support in our communities and fostering meaningful connections is essential. During hard times, leaning on others for encouragement and understanding can make all the difference in our ability to thrive. This video serves as a source of motivation and encouragement for anyone facing challenges. It reminds us that every setback is an opportunity to rise stronger, wiser, and more resilient than before.

👋🏼 As already commented on your “find meaning in the 21st century” video: we’re based here in Vienna. Pls, next time you plan to come, let us know! We’d love to meet you over a chat on the meaning or insignificance of life in our favorite Kaffeehaus. Or for an icecold dip into the Donau, if you really want to repeat that experience. Although there are less known but much nicer places to have a swim in & around Vienna.

This video was something else. The plurality, the different points of view... the languages... evrything made sense together. Here in Brazil, when I was studying philosophy and living with some friends, we used to do a "sarau", it's something close to the meaning of "soirée", but we would have poetry reading, conversations about life, music, etc. Those were precious experiences.

Ahhhh, just wonderful perspectives. Know that you don’t have to look out very far to make these incredible connections. It doesn’t have to be the gorgeous city of Vienna or the Danube, but… maybe it also has to be. 😌
