Been listening to this (and the most recent) DP-song on repeat. Really like the path Dirty Projectors are taking here. And the new singer is clearly a huge win for the project. Superb voice, great charisma and calmness. Really touching.

Hmm, I thought the space at 1:30 was interesting and beautiful. Maybe New York could use more "neoliberalism." Some of the most notable buildings in Manhattan are named for companies (the Chrysler Building, Citigroup Center) or rapacious capitalists (Rockefeller Center).

The great thing about this song is that even as sweet as the melody and vocals are, the lyrics are rather dark.

One of my favourite music projects I found coming out of highschool at the beginning of last decade. Found Dave's songwriting while I was experimenting a bunch and felt less alone making music! This new track and video fit so tightly together. Thank's for the continued wonderful music!

It's interesting to look at it from the "other side" of the fascism we're dealing with too. I feel like DP have been about this with the left and right, blue and red juxtaposition of the sides of their album covers. Specifically Lamp Lit Prose and Overlord.

This feels like the first essential DP song since swing lo cant believe they are hitting a stride this early into the new line up.
I like the self titled album a lot and I think it has at least three essential songs but maybe it should have been released as Dave's solo album because it was so different. For DP as a full band, I agree this is the first exciting song since Swing Lo.
Ur literal right about self titled and that’s a life style is so great too. I felt like this was REALLY good but those ones are good too what a good band
"That's a lifestyle" and "Right now" are both essentials for me. Lamp lit prose didn't get a lot of hype but I absolutely loved it.
