GREAT video! I'm was getting overwhelmed with trying to tame my brand new Bamboo Ink Pen but you calmed things down quite nicely with a very helpful video.
+Caroline Honse This is a pretty straightforward app and I like it for that.
I love bamboo paper!! I just wish they had more zoom capability and a lasso tool! I think that would be useful.
Do you know how to select an image and delete it??

I loved my handwriting on this app but can't use at my regular note taking app bc is too basic
It is now 2019.
Bamboo Paper has not seen much, if any, in upgrades.
It DOES NOT have the ability to do a Lasso Grab to move objects or text to another part
of the page or to another page.
While Apple Note, Notability, and Good Notes does this.

I think they also removed some page options? After watching this video, I tried to look for the music page-like option for the Thinker notebook and the storyboard page option for the Writer notebook and they were gone...
The fact that it doesn't have layers is very limiting, I tried to contact them last year to know if they were planning to add this feature to the app but didn't get any response...

Very thorough review! I'll be sure to download this and probably purchase a few of the other notebook styles.
The bundle is more worth it with the notebooks plus pens.
I am desperate to know if you can export something from the bamboo paper app to the general Inkspace app. I am struggling so hard, all I want to do is make handwritten notes on an already made document!

I wanted to ask a question, I have a pencil outline for a manga drawing and I havent inked it yet. I bought a set of sepia tone fineliners from Faber Castell and Im thinking of using it to outline bcs I want to use watercolour after the inking. Some people disagree with me and say using black ink is much more convinient, but sepia feels as if it compliments the watercolor.

Excellent video dude! I noticed that you have inkspace app, can you tell us if your notes taken in bamboo paper are available in Inkspace to make conversion to doc or text? If yes, Can you upload an example please?

I really dislike that the app cant actually rotate the notebooks. Even if you have your tablet on landscape you're not really writing on a vertical book

Are you able to remove pictures once you've set them? It seems like they're stuck once they're fixated?
I am loooking for an answer to a SIMILAR QUESTION! I know that the answer is YES, you can move them...but I do not know how! (I know that the answer is YES because I randomly have stumbled upon a picture moving when I did not WANT it to do so.). But I can not seem to determine WHEN and HOW it happens so that I can control when to move or resize a picture.
THANK YOU Teoh Yi Chie! Very helpful tutorial. I have a Wacom Tablet, and Bamboo Paper came "free" with some of the updgraded pens and notebooks, YET, I do not have some of the options you show. For example, your video showed that you could import a photo from 3 different places, and mine only shows two options. Any suggestions on how I can unlock the features you have -- I do not see any options in the "shopping cart".
ALSO: Do you know how to move and resize a photo once it has been placed? I know that this can be done, because sometimes it just happens, and I don't know what I did to make it happen.

Which time are you referring to for the photo import? Import for photos and camera?
You can adjust the photo before it's place but once it's placed, it's fixed.

I have the problem that you cannot really zoom or zoom out of the page (tab s4). Bamboo overwrite my notes and puts them on top of the paper and my notes are double lined. Its super strange

thank you for the very informative video! Question: how do you solve the problem with placing the hand on the display without marking. The app tells me to switch of multi finger gestures (iOS 13), I did so but it still does not work properly with my Apple Pencil. Thank you :-)
Weird. If you're using Apple Pencil, it should have really good palm rejection. I personally don't have problems with stray strokes but I can see how stray strokes is more likely on the Wacom Bamboo app. Maybe you can try other handwriting apps to see if palm rejection will work better. Try PenUltimate, Good Notes, ZoomNotes, Notes Plus, Notability, OneNote

Unfortunately I don't have any printer. Anyway, years ago I had one and the print quality was quite good. So I suppose nowadays the quality can only get better.
I've done that at times with canon printers using print papers or watercolor. Most aren't flexible enough or are too fragile..

No. There are no shape tools. So everything is hand drawn.

+KC Gayla There are no layers. So if you trace over the photo, there is no way to separate the photo from your line art.

Ive drawn over pictures I added into the notebooks and could remove the picture without the drawings disappearing.
Yes you can. Once your drawing is completed, just place your finger steadily on a part of the picture. After a second will appear a a delete button (X mark). Press the button to delete image.

+KilGrave 09 You can use this app with any stylus but there will be not pressure sensitivity. As for number of notebooks you can create, I'm not sure since mine is the paid version. The paid version let's you create different types of notebooks with different paper. You can also unlock all the other pens.
5:57 does anyone know the name of that active tool in top center ? He said "marker", but it has some nice specs that I want to find on other drawing apps and I don't know what to look for.
What it does is: it allows you to uniformly fill a space even if you draw over and over in same spot, as long as you *don't lift* the pen. AND if you lift pen and draw over it again, it adds to it's opacity, again uniformly, this makes it very easy to add things like shadow/emboss to a shape, since it adds the same color, just stronger.
In other apps it may be called Highlighter. Or you can choose any brush and reduce the opacity.

They're not free? When I downloaded mine and used it it said I could purchase the things for RM 0
it's free to use but to unlock all features you have to pay. Not sure how much though. If the things are listed at RM 0, buy buy buy!

It depends on the stylus you're using and the OS, Android (yes), iPadOS (no).
I just got my bamboo stylus today and downloaded this app. Great video. Quick question: Can you trace over an imported picture than delete the original picture?
You can't because there is no layers feature. You can't just turn off or delete the picture after it has been imported onto the canvas.
No. As said above. Current android version. It does not have the 'picker/selector' tool at all. Technically the image pixels are separated from your drawings but there is no way to select the first.
Perhaps ... make a very lightened version of your image and keep it.

With importing pictures:
(1) If I import a picture and draw over it, can I use the eraser to remove what I drew (only)?
(2) After importing a picture, and clicking on the screen outside the picture, can the picture be re-selected and moved/resized?

1. You can't.
2. After importing the picture, the picture is fixed.
There's no layering function, and you can't select individual elements.

1) Yes. You erase your drawings which are above the imported image.
2) No. Inconvenient. Perhaps the entire page from a notebook can be deleted.

it's difficult to write on top of a pic because it selects the pic right away :(
After you place the photo, resize it. Once it's on the canvas, it can no longer be selected.

Is this only available on ipads, rather than iphones? Because I didn't have my ipad on hand and knew I wasn't going to for a few weeks (I left it at my grandparent's house, which is a couple hours away) so I tried to download it on my iphone to check it out first, but only found something called wacom inkspace. Is this the same thing, just a different name?
+releasethekraken I am not sure if it is available on iPhone. It is on Android. Just search for it on Apple App store. It should be from the publisher Wacom.

If not then please tell me some app that supports Wacom bamboo fineline 3 style and the ability to open a file

The problem I have with this app is that the palm rejection is quite bad compared to apple notes or OneNote even. I'm using the apple pencil
+KAAZE If you use Apple Pencil, it should work really well. Much better than Wacom's own stylus.
@@teohyc The app palm rejection is not working with apple pencil. The app is the best, but all my notes are filled with dots and lines.

Teoh is there an adroid equivalent of the apple pencil? I currently have an android tablet an want to get into digital art but I cant justify purchasing an ipad pro and apple pencil to do so.
I don't know of any that supports pressure sensitivity. If you don't need pressure, you can get Adonit Dash 2 (no palm rejection either).
hmm yeah see thats the biggest issue for me.. I really need palm rejection :( I have very difficult time drawing when I cant rest my hand on surface.. Thanks anyways :) perhaps 1 more question.. If given a choice would you choose to go ipad pro+ apple pencil or would you just get some kind of graphics tablet like a wacom or equivalent?
