I'll probably rework the danger levels to make them more interesting in a later update. Might replace the econ related ones with special elite mobs spawning in random waves tho it'll take some time to implement
I like that idea a lot, but the fact that the system even exists is fantastic. Early access version blows the demo out of the water (and the demo already blew every other arena survival game out of the water)
Yeah this game is great! The only thing I am kind of lost is the new enemies properties and stuff. For the future a nice idea is something like an enemy encyclopedia this is something possible to program although I get it is not the easiest, but I think it is a good future idea. PS I am very impressed in your game making abilities
I have to admit, when I saw that the character select screen lit up the characters based on the danger level you've beaten with them, I might have let loose an audible 'oh no'
Engineer is super op cuz there're soooo many none weap upgrade related to it. You can have like 10 turrets/ 5 mines to auto kill everything. The scaling of engineer is on one single stat so you can use all the extra stats on survival. My easiest 20 wave clear so far on this character
Armor doesn't fall of. think about it. your effective health at 50% damage reduction is 200% of your hp. 75% damage reduction is 400% of your hp. The armor scales Linear, which means every point of armor has the same amount of value. On the other hand, dodge, scales exponantial. Every point of dodge has more value than the last.
I do think that having six weapons is "important" but you also absolutely need to reduce it down to 5 when you're doing your shop phases. Like it's okay to have 6 weapons in the middle of a round, but you're shooting yourself in the foot if you have 6 gray quality daggers and you're begging for another one so you can finally get a blue. Just combine two into a blue, have 5, and you'll probably get literally flooded with daggers as you reroll the shop. Having 5 weapons in the middle of a round isn't a death sentence either as you've shown. If you don't get a sixth weapon in your shop after combining down to 5... oh well. Anybody who says it's impossible should just watch your channel LOL
Really enjoying this series! Hope you try that Soldier, seems like a fun cost for an awesome boost. I had gotten the demo when you started the demo was a lot of fun, making want to get the full game when its out!.
I’m glad brotato has so much more content. I think seeing at least one run on level 5 would be nice, but if those danger levels aren’t fun then just play on level 0/1
Diminishing returns on armor has to exist because each % becomes more effective the higher it gets. You go from like 90% to 95% reduction for example, you're cutting how much dmg you're taking in half. It's not really 5% it's 50%
Does the +Engendering skill just make the turrets and such more powerful? Also does harvesting give you more $$ per resource, I am yet to finish a run ... soon ..
It's crazy how much this game has changed. This is so dated and the game is so different but it's only been a month and a half. It's like an entirely new game

There are only 2 things on my wishlist for this game and those are a compendium/library and a sandbox mode

This is how I cleared with Old as well. A turret or landmine per square inch.

Actually, here's an idea for an item, trolley, for each time taken, 1 turret can be made to follow you, with higher levels making a snake of turrets
