DISCLAIMER: I will not _always_ be uploading the full ~1.5 to 2hr runs now, I will do it when I can, but I say this so you don't see ~50min episodes from now on and _automatically_ assume they're a loss. They still obviously could be, but don't always assume they are.
1:53:23 i think you could have saved the healer if you healed the rogue first instead of shielding it. idk tho im loving this series please keep continue playing this game a little more!!!
1:55:00 Copycat copies era according to the current turn, it did so in previous fights. If you had kept the ranged side you would've killed the archer and saved your rogue, due to the fact that all of the warriors sides had self-shield. Of course that would by no means be a guarantee you survived the next turn, as in that scenario the enemy could've rolled differently the following turn.
The bow would deal four damage so rogue could be rescued by shield 1 of defender. Next turn the roll of enemy wouldn't matter that much since era enchanted bow would deal two more damage than rapier last turn (if used against dragon), so with warrior big sword attack rolled any rogue attack would kill dragon, making loss pretty unlikely. it's shows how much one information can change result. Great run, game has very interesting modes.
I think instant mode's "X levels further" means it can generate teams from up to that many levels below the level it picks. So on +0 you get a floor 13 team for the 13th floor, while on +3 you might have a floor 10 team for 13th floor enemies. At least it felt that way on the non-beta branch
So I wanted to post this not so much to backseat game but because I saw it as a fun puzzle. Dragon fight turn from 1:52:57 Step 1. Rescue the Mage (like you started) Step 2. Fighter hits caw (again like you did) Step 3. Healer Heals the rogue Step 4. Mage hits dragon Step 5. Rogue kills caw with 1 damage arrow and gains 1 extra mana from copycat from Mage Step 6. Rescue fighter Step 7. Defender rescues self Step 8. Poultice heal the healer Step 9. Rescue the healer Step 10. Rescue the rogue Step 11. Cleanse the healer Step 12. Last use of the rescue shield on character of your choice and everyone is saved (for the turn at least)
For those watching from home, at 37:20 he gave the staff to his mage to make all those mana pips 2 mana each. He could have given that staff to his acolyte which would have made the single Heal/Mana, and all three Heal/Mana/Shields set to 2 instead, since the staff said "All mana sides" and didn't specify BASIC mana sides. :) *EDIT* Thumbs up if you'd like to see him unlock RAID MODE where he controls 10 heroes? :D
At 1:52:50 the way to save everybody and best turn I could find was: - Warrior 3 damage on dragon, self shield 3 - Healer heal Rogue by 2 (mana now 2) - Mage attack Caw (mana now 4) - Defender shield warrior - Rouge kill Caw [possible because of ranged and because the mage has vulnerable, else if it wouldn't work then just attack with warrior on caw and with mage the dragon] => shield now upgraded - heal 1 cleanse and heal 2 on healer (mana now 2) - Defender shield Rouge, Defender, Healer and Mage - Last shield and 2 mana can be used wherever Sorry if I misscalculated something Ps: it took longer to write this than to find the solution... Edit 1: Changed order for shield on warrior and rouges attack => mana numbers down the line decreased by 1
That choice of items around the 25:28 mark, wouldn't the whetstone have increased the value of the yellow's die faces? They were almost all the basic sword face, but with 'era' added, if I got that right.
Hey retro! I just clicked on the video, and I'm about to watch the whole thing for sure. I was so happy to see that this one was using the generate mode. I find this mode actually quite difficult, despite the very strong individual dice faces you can come across. The problem for me was being forced to choose bad upgrades with horrible and detrimental dice faces that would ruin my team comp. Can't wait to see how this turns out! 2 hours long, you must have done well haha.
Just finished watching the video, and you died on the last fight just like I did :-). You did really well, and I agree with you skipping some of the upgrades for sure. It's easy for me to backseat and watch you play, but you definitely made some mistakes and could have won in the final fight by making some different choices I'm pretty sure. But well done, generate mode is actually very hard!
I got a busted tier 2 rogue warrior and defender on random and kept them had 2 9 shield and 2 5 shield charged bloodlust sides on the defender and copycat all over the rogue with the item that makes shields ranged attacks retaining their keyword.
If heard that it will drop on mobile after a short beta phase, but it can be downloaded at the discord prematurely at the risk of loosing progress and other factors
I want to buy this game, but its kinda wierd. I havent yet, but I learned that the best way to buy it is likely on your PC, and then you can also download it on your android... Especially if you want to try the beta. Otherwise you would have to buy it twice and wait for 2.0 if you use the Play Store or whatever... Someone correct me if Im wrong, or tell me I got the right idea. I mean its only $8 but still.
loving the videos, not trying to back seat or anything but the copycat key word copys all other keywords used in a turn between the bloodlust and other things you could of had a huge hitting ranged attack not sure if that would of helped but hopefully in future runs it will help
I've been getting complaints about runs being split in two, and now I am getting a complaint about me not splitting them in two. I am so confused what anyone wants lol.

i love that! keep up the good work
I do like the 2h long episodes as well as the 30 min long videos ;). Thanks for the entertainment^^
😂bbb 😊😊😊😊😊😊
The 41:00 or so minute cantrip play... nice technical knowledge being used for the power of good!
1:53:23 i think you could have saved the healer if you healed the rogue first instead of shielding it. idk tho im loving this series please keep continue playing this game a little more!!!
I got really excited when I saw the video length. This was a really fun run to watch, glad to see you still making these :)
lmao. Watching him brain out that one turn against the dragon and seeing him get *so close* to the miracle combination. Love watching it~
there were so many variables! this game is nuts

This is correct *Thumbs up*
The grow side from the healer dice + a rescue shield is hilarious if you can get it. One of the more broken combo's I've found.
So I wanted to post this not so much to backseat game but because I saw it as a fun puzzle. Dragon fight turn from 1:52:57
Step 1. Rescue the Mage (like you started)
Step 2. Fighter hits caw (again like you did)
Step 3. Healer Heals the rogue
Step 4. Mage hits dragon
Step 5. Rogue kills caw with 1 damage arrow and gains 1 extra mana from copycat from Mage
Step 6. Rescue fighter
Step 7. Defender rescues self
Step 8. Poultice heal the healer
Step 9. Rescue the healer
Step 10. Rescue the rogue
Step 11. Cleanse the healer
Step 12. Last use of the rescue shield on character of your choice and everyone is saved (for the turn at least)
One of the most underrated roguelikes out there! =)
=)
Man, what a run! Some great combos in this one, and that fighter era roll was just beautiful!
For those watching from home, at 37:20 he gave the staff to his mage to make all those mana pips 2 mana each. This has to be the best showing 9f the game ever
At 1:52:50 the way to save everybody and best turn I could find was:
- Warrior 3 damage on dragon, self shield 3
- Healer heal Rogue by 2 (mana now 2)
- Mage attack Caw (mana now 4)
- Defender shield warrior
- Rouge kill Caw [possible because of ranged and because the mage has vulnerable, else if it wouldn't work then just attack with warrior on caw and with mage the dragon]
=> shield now upgraded
- heal 1 cleanse and heal 2 on healer (mana now 2)
- Defender shield Rouge, Defender, Healer and Mage
- Last shield and 2 mana can be used wherever
Sorry if I misscalculated something
Ps: it took longer to write this than to find the solution...
Edit 1: Changed order for shield on warrior and rouges attack => mana numbers down the line decreased by 1
This was such a fun run. I hardly even noticed that it was almost two hours long.
What a wild mix bag run. Very interesting, the random faces truly giveth and taketh away.
1:10:37 you can use "qwer" for spells
I like seeing the beeg number (on video length). A nice special treat!
Generate mode seems very fun for replayability, which is already in a game that seems very replayable
Man I didn't even notice this video was 2 hours long until I was halfway through. Keep it up this is great!
That choice of items around the 25:28 mark, wouldn't the whetstone have increased the value of the yellow's die faces? They were almost all the basic sword face, but with 'era' added, if I got that right.
Although it's not much worth if it'll get 1 per turn?
Wow 2 hour full run nice

Random mode seems pure chaos, but I think you did your best.
With those names, I thought they were all cyborgs like 009
Loving this series thank you for making it
Generate was just as bombastic as I'd hoped it would be! Haha
I hope you do more of these
30:08 nice items
instant is refering to x levels further than your character and item levels, basically higher is harder
Rainbow on the charged shield followed by copycat ranged would've been huge!
What music do you have in the background? Would love to know.
I’m just learning about this game and wish I had means to play it but sadly wrong platforms. Enjoying your series while working this week!
The hotkeys for spells are Q,W,E,R
I want to see how crazy it can get!
A longun today, but definitely worth the watch. Generate is loads of fun
Anyone know if the android version of this game stays as up-to-date as the desktop version?
0:57 there is generated t4s tho
I love this mode
Dang that was so close!
I got a busted tier 2 rogue warrior and defender on random and kept them had 2 9 shield and 2 5 shield charged bloodlust sides on the defender and copycat all over the rogue with the item that makes shields ranged attacks retaining their keyword.
Can you play 2.0 on mobile? How does it work?
If heard that it will drop on mobile after a short beta phase, but it can be downloaded at the discord prematurely at the risk of loosing progress and other factors
What a run!!!
what the heck, 2hrs
nice!
Skipping taking the upgraded is extremely detrimental even if you don’t really like the options.

There is a discord of the game where you can see how to get access to the beta
You missed "Bonus Max HP" on the 3 damage cantrip to make a 3 damage 3 Max HP cantrip that kept rolling T-T
Doesn't work like that on damage dice, only things that target allies
@@Retromation Oh sorry! My fault xD
the hotkey for spells are Q W E R (idk if there is more)
Sooo much backsitting!! Dos stop make Ng this videos we all love them
loving the videos, not trying to back seat or anything but the copycat key word copys all other keywords used in a turn between the bloodlust and other things you could of had a huge hitting ranged attack not sure if that would of helped but hopefully in future runs it will help
🎲Awesome! :D
Great
Comment
*unfair mode* :]
o/
2 1 hours vid would have been better
I've been getting complaints about runs being split in two, and now I am getting a complaint about me not splitting them in two. I am so confused what anyone wants lol.
