Throughout scripture, God called out the righteous from among the wicked before a destruction. Does this set a pattern that will repeat today?

It looks very much right now that tent cities are already here. But its not so much the way people think. Its mass homelessness. Many news stations outside of Utah for awhile now have reported homeless tent cities popping up all over the place. Most of them are metro areas. They reported one by Chicago's lake front now (right when winter is starting). But not all of the tent cities are people prepared. Many are impoverished.
This adds to the idea that this can and will happen. But will it happen from faithful people leaving a society like Lehi, or because of unemployment, destroyed infrastructure, etc...that is the question. There will be both I think.
There isn't much to stay for if you face this choice. People staying, are seeing lawlessness in cities increase also.
Homeless tent cities are in many metro areas and the west coast now.

I was pondering on this a couple years ago, pondering on if we would have to “get out” and live in tent cities or whatever. The Lord reminded me of all the times, like you discussed, when He has led families and peoples to safety. He gave me much peace in the knowledge that, if I was doing my best to live in tune with Him, He would guide my family to safety, whatever that looked like. Then the first thought in my mind when I woke up the next morning was from the Spirit, telling me that my family’s move out east in recent years, in addition to two of my siblings’ moves out east, were part of His already-unfolding plan to get us where we need to be for the final day. We had all felt spiritual confirmation to do our moves, but not in the context of God maneuvering us for the end times! It was awesome! I agree with you that, if we are really trying to be like the wise virgins and live with full spiritual lamps, God will get us where we need to be.
Thanks for all your musings, Connor!

The country is going down fast economically. People are losing their shirts, and places to live. This means... its very likely that there will be 2 types of tent cities. 1 will be economic devastation group, in bad shape, and without revelation or following the gospel. The other group will likely be people that leave these cities before the destruction gets too much going by inspiration and revelation. The lie will be people thinking they won't be untouched if they don't make the good choice.
You can see that news in Chicago this week was talking about tent cities already along the lake front. So its already here.
      Luke 21:20.

One of the incorrect paths some believers in The Rapture follow is that we should not do anything for the time being. There is an idea that we should let evil proceed and even encourage it because that mean Jesus is coming sooner. We have a responsibility to build His kingdom and promote good here and now and make ourselves ready, as should all our future posterity until He actually returns.

We know both evil and good will grow at the same time. It's the wheat and the tares. I won't pretend to fully understand, but there has to be some kind of gathering before the destruction of evil. This has already happened at least once in our day when the early Saints lived in relative peace during the US Civil war.

Here is my take on it. If you are truly trying to live a life that takes full advantage of the Atonement of Christ, you are constantly trying to become a better person, than the Lord will be speaking to you. If you are meant to up and leave suddenly one day and be living in a tent city that will happen. If you are meant to stay right where you are, than that will happen. If you are meant to literally go live in the mountains in Israel, He will provide a way. Is it going to be through a formal process and involving church leadership or will you suddenly receive a revelation while at work one day? I have no idea and I really believe it is irrelevant how it happens.
Do I have a year's worth of food storage? Yes. Do I have tents, camping gear, and medical supplies? Yes.
Will I ever use them in a way that is being described in the video? I have absolutely no idea and I believe they are a small part of what is important right now.
Focus on building your faith in our Savior and repenting often, and God will take care of the rest.

8:28 Great episode! I wanted to point out a small correction: while 1 Nephi 2 :15 "And my father dwelt in a tent" is famously short, the verse Alma 18 :27 "And he said, Yea.” is actually shorter. It’s an interesting reminder that even widely accepted ideas within communities-like identifying the shortest verse in scripture-can sometimes persist unchallenged.
This brings up an important concept: false or incomplete community knowledge often lingers when we don’t pause to question what we’ve been told. It’s not about doubting everything, but rather fostering curiosity and a willingness to dig deeper. Moments like this are great opportunities to learn and grow together as a community. Thanks for sparking this conversation!

Why are we taking a devotional chat from Holland at face value saying that all of the sudden the saints for the first time in history we need not flee or go anywhere. Or Lee saying that this call out will only come from the first presidency. When both of these ideas were refuted by Spencer W. Kimball when he warned the saints this:
"There will be no general warning to the membership of the church that things will be shortly falling apart... This 'lack of warning' is designed to weed out the tares; the 'all is well in Zion' crowd"
Considering the counsel given by the first presidency in the last few years, namely since 2020, and the direction they have been leading us, I think the warning from Kimball here is the one I would say is most accurate as opposed the stuff coming from Lee or Holland, or the first presidency on this matter.
They are saying things like that because they want us to "be good global citizens", and stay put and comply with the 2030 agenda. They are deeply connected with the UN.
Seriously, folks if you are insistent on listening to the president of the church, why did you ignore his general conference talk a year before 2020 came that was titled "hear Him", where he told us very plainly that we need to start to look to and listen to the Lord, and that we will not survive these last days without the guidance of the Holy Ghost and personal revelation. Why did everyone forget that warning so quickly and throw all common sense out the window the very next year and follow every single word this man said no matter how contrary it was to all sense and every principle of the gospel?

Hey Connor, quick note regarding Matthew 24:15 - the “stand in the holy place” isn’t an injunction, but rather a reference to the person who commits the abomination of destination.
“When you see him stand in the Holly place, then flee to the mountains.”
It’s a reference to the type of shadow of when Antiochus Epiphanes stood in the Holy of Holies and committed that first abomination of desolation.

Our family certainly felt called to go into a “wilderness”. We were brought by the Lord to Wyoming and it’s been a great blessing for our family. We felt called to help prepare our community for a temple, and now 9 years later, we have one. For me, temples are the GARNERS where we are to be gathered in safely. We have been told by our Prophet, president Nelson that there will be a separation. It is definitely spiritual and at some point it will assuredly become physical. After all we are told in scripture “the meek shall inherit the Earth”, and the righteous will inhabit the desolate cities and places. For now it is up to us to watch and prepare “every needful thing.”

JST and D&C both correct to the wheat being gathered out first. The tares also drive the church into the wilderness, another reference to being led out.
JST Matthew 13: 29Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the wheat into my barn; and the tares are bound in bundles to be burned.
D&C 86: 3 wherefore, the tares choke the wheat and drive the church into the wilderness.
7 Therefore, let the wheat and the tares grow together until the harvest is fully ripe; then ye shall first gather out the wheat from among the tares, and after the gathering of the wheat, behold and lo, the tares are bound in bundles, and the field remaineth to be burned.

I too have noticed the two differences. Many members say that the tares are the ones leaving the Church. The problem is, I have noted after years of. being aware of members working to save the constitution that many good people have left church, for understandable reasons. Were they driven out? Ezekiel 34:15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord God.
16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats.

Tim Ballard's attorneys had a case dismissed without prejudice recently. Meaning the plaintiff, Ms. Whitehead, can amend her complaint if she brings more evidence of "severe emotional distress", according to the judge.
However, it probably should have been dismissed. Her case was pretty weak. Furthermore, the Motion to dismiss, stated the plaintiff failed to start a claim for which relief can be granted. I think the causes of action did not meet the elements required.
      However...
The 3 other cases, sexual in nature against Ballard are still on going. 6 former employees are accusing him of sexual assault.
Moreover, Ballard is the subject of numerous criminal investigations.

I think until very recently Elder Holland was one of the Apostles that believed that the Second Coming was so far off as to be not worth considering in anything but the most delayed terms. I think his near-death experience and Pres. Nelson's highly elevated rhetoric about the subject has made it more prescient for him. In a past address (I can't remember when, but Jared on Christian Homstead quotes it ad nauseum to support his theory of immediacy of the Second Coming) wherein Elder Holland essentially said the Second Coming could be tomorrow, in a very casual and dismissive way. Jared, not really catching onto the point of his rhetoric, or the casualness with which he was treating the doctrine took it as a fact that it actually could happen tomorrow despite so many multi-year events not yet having taken place. I am not particularly pleased by the vagueness and rigidly anti-apocalyptic tone that it has been treated with by the Apostles in the last few decades. I saw a talk by Elder McConkie from 1979 where he was emphatic about the "nuclear holocaust that shall surely come". Talk like that isn't allowed these days. The most Pres. Nelson can do is drop the term "Second Coming" and let us do the study, wherefrom everyone will have a different interpretation and no consensus, even on the broadest and most basic of notions. I have seen several "orthodoxies" of the Second Coming eschaton as taught in the Church be flatly rejected by Latter-Day Saints in just the last few years:
    1. We will build a Temple or Temple Complex in Jackson County Missouri. All but scorned by Doctrine and Covenants central.
    2. There will be two prophets of majestic power protecting Jerusalem. Lots of people say that's not really important and could have already happened, or that it is happening and it is two of their particular favorite Apostles.
    3. The Third Temple will be built by the Jews in Jerusalem. Plenty of people skirt this for their own immediacy model.
    4. The Ten Lost Tribes will return from the "North Countries". This was gradually reduced in importance and similarly buried so as not to sound wacky. It even made it into newer editions of the Book of Mormon, as the Lost Tribes was de-capitalized to "lost tribes" for similar references. The scriptures make it clear that they are a separate group from the Gentile/Ephraimites which constitute the first generations of Church members. Joseph reinforces this in his dedicatory prayer, saying that they are identified with the Gentiles. So, naturally, those who knew Joseph also taught exactly what was taught in Second Esdras concerning a righteous element of exiled tribes left for another place. The Former Soviet Union has a lot of people from the other tribes, but there are not very many people there and still, most are Ephraimites, and I have difficulty seeing them coming to our rescue. Unless the Second Coming is at least centuries in the future, where their numbers are much expanded, since the Church and therefore those called back to their lineage are exceedingly rare. It wouldn't be the cavalry, it'd be a pittance.
Those are just the ones off the top of my head. With so much confusion about the topic, despite clear official Church sources, which contradict the likes of Holland and others, I'm not sure what to say about it. Reading the scriptures is nigh useless since no one agrees on what they refer to. There have been waaaay too many false starts, failed projections and litanies, just whalloping heaps of "Apostolic Blessings" of mission areas that are supposed to become the greatest baptizing place in the world. I went to one of those missions and it still baptizes nobody. So long as vague symbolic language and ancient esotericism prevails upon this subject, it doesn't matter. The Lord left us with nothing, and Apostles are as divided and oblique as the rest of us.

    • @Sagart999
      @Sagart999 2 месяца назад +3

My approach to all this is that it doesn’t really matter when the Second Coming occurs, and that checking off a to-do list may be interesting, and may even help inform Church members (if they keep to the Spirit for proper personal revelation), but it should drive your life. My personal “end of days” could happen today; my time to make good decisions and to properly and righteously lead my family could end today. But plant cherry trees, for yourself or for others. The pulpit in the Salt Lake Conference Center is made of black walnut, from a tree planted by President Gordon B. Hinckley 36 years before it became part of that building.

He comes to cleanse the Earth before He comes to claim it. Zion must be redeemed before we can show Him that we are not idolotors, worthy of wrath.
The cleansing is what is imminent.
We must be equal, according to the Doctrine and Covenants in earthly things before God will make us equal in heavenly things. We’re too mean to deserve His presence until (at the very least) there are no poor among us. We aren’t that level yet. We are low key the cause of many of the poor. We need to learn to live real Zion…only then will we be the solution.
There is no incentive or even possibility to live real Zion until the earth is cleansed. Getting rid of the opposition will cause an overflowing of righteousness, as Isaiah prophesies. Only God and the destroying angels can get rid of the opposition.

That's exactly what the Mormon Masonic Church will do to your brain and beliefs. The book of Mormon is plagiarized from at least five books, that includes the Bible which is approximately 60% of the plagiarized writings. The church is nothing but a 501c3 corporate structure. 200-250 billion dollars strong and the serpent Nelson along with his 14 serpents around him are too greedy to help the poor and needy. They are just building their great and spacious buildings aka temples. You may want to look into Steven Hassan, the bite model. Part of the definitions of a cult, behavior, information, thought and emotional control. I am so glad I have found the truth in the Bible and had my records removed from the Mormon Mason Church. It’s simpler than a check list. This may not be the case but it seems like you’re imagining the second coming events happening in order or falling like dominos like a chain reaction.
To avoid frustration we all need to understand prophecy and how it is fulfilled. It doesn’t not occur like a check list. It will probably be fulfilled differently than our mental mindset. Small example being the prophecy from Joel about the last days being give 800-500 BCE. We see that his end of days prophecy being fulfilled in the book of Acts and another portion being fulfilled 2000 years later on 9/11 according to Gordon B. Hinckley.
I wouldn’t worry about the opinion of RUclipsrs or unverified opinions or perception of opinions from any church leader beyond the single person who holds the priesthood keys for the church. Which is currently Russell M Nelson. He says to be ready so let’s be ready. I hold strong to Elder Oaks version that our life is the real story and what really matters is who we are when we meet him. Either during the second coming or because we leave mortality.

I think it's a REALLY good idea to have a tent. A tent is usually pretty affordable and could be given or gotten as a gift.
If you can afford it, a truck and camper ot trailer would be a good idea. Perhaps a car and trailer or some other setup. It would be much nicer than living in a tent.
A stash of water storage can be very helpful. It's also something you can barter for other needs. Food storage in addition is even better.
Fuel storage is also helpful. I think at this point, most people can see where I'm going with this. Accordingly, we should prepare as much as possible and within reason. Most of all, it's CRUCIAL to read Scriptures, pray regularly, attend Church, live the Gospel and listen for the promptings of The Holy Ghost.

In the time of Jeremiah there were some who asked him where to go to be safe from the babylonian army and he told them to stay where they were, that they would be safe. Others he told to head to the hills. This is why you get some who say they were prompted to prepare to leave and others fell by the same spirit that they will not have to leave their homes. The world is a big place and to every town/city/county will be in the same degree of danger.

It does not matter where you are located it matters how you are located. The pull, however, is to witness the events leading into the milinial reign of Christ. To even take part in them. To be gathered, as a people, who are of one heart and one mind. For that reason I hope there is a complete separation of the wheat and the tares prior to the second coming of Christ that would be the great city you speak of, and that I am worthy to be part of that city.

So whos misinterpreting scripture or misleading the saints? Why the dependency and non-dependency? God isnt a God of Confusion yet Im told to wait and follow the prophet despite the real possibility of him being wrong. We will flee to zion, we wont flee to zion. LOL. Im just gonna go to the Lord for any counsel on anything. Thats our best path forward. The day of prophetic counsel is basically over. From the callout, to medical advice, to legal rights, politics, etc. Since 2020, I've solely relied on the H.G for direction and counsel, alone, and havent been wrong. Modern prophets have.

only 3 min into this, but... the tent-prophecy already happened. The ENTIRE chapter of the restoration starting before the expulsion to the settling of Utah is this. The saints didn't let the Lord fight their battles; they didn't stay faithful to the Prophet and revelations (lots of apostasy/iniquity/unfaithfulness all through MO and Nauvoo periods), and the faithful/humble saints were sent into the western wilderness (Utah) and the building up of the city of Zion was put on hold until they could rebuild in righteousness.

You may hear one quote here n there but it easily can be interpreted for different principles or context. But never this clearly as this pattern thru scriptural history shows. Why? I have my own conclusions but it will differ for each person. Despite the denial from apostles when asked about a callout, deep down they know we will at some point have to leave so why not admit it? Oh thats right. They dont want the cabal/govt to know about it, (due to fear). Gotcha 😉. Isnt that always the reason. 🙄

  • @brent4477

Spiritual preparation and temporal preparation are two sides of the same coin. Since the Book of Mormon is for our day, Captain Moroni prepared the people against the day when the Lamanites would come upon them. Pres. Nelson echoed this when he talked about Captain Moroni, saying, prepare places of refuge, and Never stop preparing. Meaning, we should always be preparing for a day of need. Meaning having the guiding, directing, comforting and constant influence of the Holy Ghost so that you are prepared to act in whatever manner the Lord calls you. Captain Moroni used traditional methods of defense. Mounds of dirt and swords. He also taught his people to turn their hearts to God and put their trust in him. Both types of preparation. Stay with the Brethren.
Then you stay away from the weirdos. Because there are just as many weirdos or maybe more who think that all they need to do is spiritually prepare because God will catch them up or protect them from every tribulation.
I know people who do nothing to temporally prepare because they believe the brethren have stopped talking about it so it is not needed anymore.
    Be prepared for both.

What is the true order of events before the second coming? John gave us the true order of events before the second coming in the Book of Revelation. There was a book with seven seals. Each section of the book refers to a time period of earth's history. The first time period was from Adam to Noah. The second time period was from Noah to Moses. The third time period was from Moses to Jerimiah. The fourth time period was from Jeremiah to Jesus. The fifth time period was the ministry of Jesus. The sixth time period was the ministry of the apostles. The opening of the sixth seal was manifested by the events of Jesus death, the earthquake, the darkening of the sun and the moon turning to blood and the stars falling from heaven. The final event before the opening of the seventh seal is the ministry of the 144000 sanctified high priests. The 144000 are the angels spoken of in the parable of the wheat and the tares, who will go out and preach the gospel with such great power that their voices cannot be silenced. The gathering of the 144000 has not happened yet, and, therefore their ministry is not happening either. You would like to think that the 144000 would be from the LDS church, but I can guarantee you that there are not 144000 sanctified high priests in the church. The fact is that none of the leaders of the LDS church are sanctified. How can they gather the sanctified if they are not sanctified? Unless the leaders of the church repent of their idolatry, instead of gathering in the 144000, they will be destroy. The first thing that has to happen is a change in the Leadership of the church. If they do not repent of their idolatry, they will be destroyed and their destruction could be this coming April. The Lord is angry with them and he will clean his house of them an bring in a new leadership. The repentance or destruction of the current leadership of the church will be the first sign of the gathering of the 144000. Personally, I do not think or have any hope that the leaders of the church will repent, but they might. How do you feel about that? Do you think they will repent and break off relations with the Catholic church and begin to destroy all their graven images, like that abomination called "Christus" which is not an image of Christ? It is the image of Lucifer.
The ministry of the 144000 could last 15-20 years. Then comes the opening of the seventh seal and all the plagues that will be poured out on the world, which will culminate in the battle of Armageddon, the death of the two witnesses and the three and a half days later, the coming of Jesus.
After reading about the seven thunders in the book of revelation, I wondered what that might mean, so I asked the Lord. He told me that the seven thunders revealed the places of refuse, or in other words, referring to the parable of the wheat and tares, the barns where in the wheat will be gathered. There will be seven places of refuge in the world, two in north America and one in each of the other 5 habitable continents. The two places in North America will be the rocky mountains in the west and the mid west centered in independence. In South America, it will be in Bolivia centered near lake Titicaca. In Europe it will be in Switzerland. In Asia in southern Siberia, in Africa, probably around Lake Victoria and in Australia, into the highest mountains.

Study how the Bible, BoM and Gospels came to be, for they are mostly false or fiction and teach contrary to the universal natural law teachings of Jesus, with only trickles of truth in them. The idea of a rapture or Jesus coming back to save 'the righteous' (and most everyone naturally feels they are righteous) is just another one of their false teachings to keep people from realizing they have to live the teachings of Jesus and make the world a paradise on their own.

Why this is next: When a president is removed from office, it will trigger a series of events that cause more civil unrest and foreign troops to start to invade; all looking to be the next power to rule in America. The call out will be done in quiet during this distraction and before the foreign troops arrive. Once the call happens, the final days of tribulation have begun.
The scriptures are rife with examples of the Lord calling out his elect to be protected against harm during his wrath and destruction. We will be no different as the final days of tribulation appear. Once the Anti-Christ comes to reign "to continue for 42 months" (Rev 13:5), he is determined to make war with the Saints and overcome them. Few will heed the call of a prophet, but those who do will be protected for a short period of time and then lead the way to New Jerusalem.
