See past Sunday Musings: SundayMusings.org Can we actually be "in the world but not of the world"? How do we flee Babylon if we're not physically separating like in ancient times?
Brother Boyack, ur a wonderful voice of reason and I do enjoy ur podcasts. U always seem to back up everything ur musings etc with scripture and other resources. Good job! I just wanted to say that as we personalize the scriptures for ourselves, as we become prophets and prophetesses in our own domain, our own home, it can be a huge scary thing. As we develop these spiritual aspects in our lives drawing closer to the Holy Ghost and our Savior we will develop more faith and confidence we are doing the right thing for our families in our circle near and far for the good.
“It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going, because they were holding on to something. That there is some good in this world, and it's worth fighting for.” ― J.R.R. Tolkien
There's other parts in those books also that match up with the gospel well. Its kind of fun when there are people that hide gospel principles in their stories.
Thank you Conner. I am a teacher and refuse to use pronouns of students (and other teachers) who are "changing" their gender. Now, after listening to this episode, I realize that I am "fighting Babylon" by NOT going along with all of the "gender ideology" so prevalent in our public schools. I will fight on. Thank you!

Re: Connor Boyack - “Do We Fight or Flee Babylon?” I just finished listening to the subject presentation. The idea expressed by several Church leaders that the places of gathering today are wherever the saints live is not a new concept to me, nor is the counsel for California saints to remain in California. Concerning the latter counsel, it is interesting that President Nelson’s “get the jab” advice was very controversial whereas urging saints to stay in California does not seem to have met the same skepticism and controversy. Members of the Church in [name of city] are regularly “fleeing Babylon” and moving to Utah, Idaho, Arizona, etc. I would also happily do so, and without guilt, if my children moved elsewhere. Concerning every saint gathering in his own county, that indeed is the current policy. However, the quotations from Church leaders did not explicitly state that it would never change (though Holland’s verbiage could easily be so interpreted). The thinking of various Church leaders and/or scholars over the years has always been that the time will again come when the Saints will be told to physically gather from around the world “unto the land of Zion” (D&C 133:9, 12, 14-15). Now, one could argue that these verses only applied to the early Church and/or that “the land of Zion” is every stake in every country of the earth. However, consider D&C 133:13, which is for those of Judah (presumably modern-day “Jews”). Should this verse only be applied to the past? Is not the great gathering of the Jews predicted in the scriptures only after they believe in Christ? If so, should they then remain in their own lands (various countries of the world) and not physically “flee unto Jerusalem, unto the mountains of the Lord’s house”? D&C 133:26-33 are the famous verses describing the return of “they who are in the north countries” (presumably the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel). This will almost certainly be a physical gathering, though anything can be spiritualized. (For example, McConkie said that the “highway” mentioned in verse 27 is not a physical construction “spanning oceans and continents” but is the highway of righteousness.) Moses 7:62 also seems to clearly imply a physical gathering as does D&C 45:68-71. One might still argue that this verbiage, while using the Center Place (Jackson County) as an example, also applies to every stake of Zion throughout the world.
Connor, thank you for pointing out the attack on men. It's not just outside the church. The church today is not setup for men. It's setup for women and children today and men are largely looked at as superfluous. In the book, "why men hate going to church" it lays this out very well. Church today is much more appreciated by women and beta males and gays he says. It's all about the sensitive and emotional. And I have watched almost all of my single male friends fall away from the church because the church is loaded with girls walking around like street queens with secretly high body counts or most are overweight. I rarely see or talk to men in the church who I would want to have as friends . They are very low T , soft and feminized. It's been astounding to me to watch this unfold over my single years. Men who have the qualities of strong leaders are long gone or married outside the church . Ive been to dozens of wards and we are a church of very weak men. Definitely not the kind I expect to "fight battles" together with. It's really sad. I understand why so many men have left and because so many of these real men have left, the single women are leaving as well because they dont want the beta males who are the norm in the church today and with dating apps can marry far Better outside the church. We are sooooo out of touch with whats happening to the youth because we see everything only through the lens of the BYU stories.
Yes. Thank you so much for saying that. I feel like that's what I'm feeling my whole life. The things you mention coupled with social class ranking and class warfare have made it so pretty much all my life when I go to church there's no friends and nobody seems to want us around. But somehow the women are always wanted. And the kids are wanted. But none of us men. I have all these skills for real hardship. Building and toughing it out skills. But in the current feminist church people won't associate with us men.
Doctrine and Covenants 123:13 says, "Therefore, that we should waste and wear out our lives in bringing to light all the hidden things of darkness, wherein we know them; and they are truly manifest from heaven".
does this include exposing the "hidden things of darkness" within the LDS corporation? 99% of members refuse to even consider the possibility that our leaders aren't holy men. once we open our minds it's obvious that our religion has been hijacked by evil men, who pretend to be holy.
Connor, I'm glad I found your channel earlier this year. Your musings are always interesting and thought-provoking. I'm surprised at your number of subscribers... It should be 10x that amount. I loved the paragraphs you shared from "Live not by lies", Solzhenitsyn states perfectly how Christians everywhere should respond to the lies of compelled speech that the Leftists try to force upon us. Thanks for the great content you post.
Connor, why is it the older I get the more I see how religion makes men weak? The mindset of someone else will save you and all I have to do is confess and pray and all is well in zion. Follow in line… wait for the prophet to tell us something new… idk… I don’t think saints realize how dark things are…
Sheep love to follow other sheep. The prophecies fully describe a later day apostasy. And the sheep can only see the other sheeps butt in front of them.
Christ had organized religion. Satan influences your brain to help him fight against Christ. The universe is organized. Christ's church is founded on prophets and apostles. Think about your words they go against the Bible
I don’t watch all of your podcasts. I’m just listening to a past one presently that refers to the scriptures I quoted. I do realize how strange things can become with some. I also do have compassion upon Lehi and his family. Just imagine what his family thought and the faith and love and it took to follow their father, the absolute faith Lehi had and a sure knowledge and then came the “wo is me” regret! 🤪 As in, how could we/I have followed him…is he crazy or are we absolute idiots for following him to begin with!” Can you imagine their thoughts!
Thank you!!! I am 0:02 finding that young adults have a hard road to trod. Also leaders telling people not to move is kind of a rough thing because they are not all moving because they want to move, or the environment is poor. Some are moving cause it is too expensive to live there, others for jobs, others for family. Does God lead us along or must we be commanded in all things? Or does the church just have regrets about temporal assets of the church that cannot be moved? I don't know. I guess maybe iI am hard hearted.
Zion has always been dependent on how one lives determining where one lives. The center place is Jackson County and that is where the gathering begins. The brethren have abandoned the literal gathering. The Lord has never stated that every nation is where they should gather. Read Ezekiel 34. The Lord is not happy with them abandoning the literal gathering.
Where there is no vision, the people perish. Let's not put the majority of the blame on regular 'ol members. They have plenty of blame put upon them from the top. I love you work though Conner. Truly I do.
By not combating evil it grows and we will live with it and eventually you become what you are surrounded by words are words what did Moroni do ? Nobody wants to actually deal with the evil it’s uncomfortable and may cost you everything so we continue down a path that swallows us whole
We all need to be warriors in the battle to build Zion, but unfortunately Satan has sidelined many of God's warriors with the many, many distractions of the world. That means in order for us to begin to truly see Zion emerge, we each have to sacrifice the worldly distractions that hold back our time, our health, our energy, our beliefs, and our influence. Once we have chosen God over Mammon, we can begin the work of building something great. But it is the nature of Christ's entire message that we focus on individuals. We work from the inside out. It has to be a grassroots effort to build Zion. Political movements may help clear the ground of obstacles from building Zion, but all it can do is clear the ground, and we have to individually build up our own lives and our communities on the principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Zion is bigger than any of us. And it will be built, with us or without us. The only thing we really need to decide is whether we will qualify to be a part of it, or not.
Isaiah says there will be an exodus like with the children of Israel where seas will part and other miracles to get His people there from around the world.
So much Pride is oozing in the majority of these comments. Yes, I am calling you out, Gentiles, we as a people need to repent, come unto Christ and not only say but do as the BoM teaches. We need to live by the spirit, according to what the scriptures teach and seriously consider the counsel of key holders. Everything else will sort itself out.
I have heard President Spencer W Kimball’s give a similar talk to President of gathering where you are at. There is also the First Presidency letter from Dec. 1, 1999, “Therefore, we wish to reiterate the long-standing counsel to members of the Church to remain in their homelands rather than immigrate to the United States.” I think we fight Babylon by making and keeping covenants. We then influence others to make and keep covenants.
Nelson may want to chat with the printers for the next editions of the BOM. The chapter heading says that the Jews will be gathered to the lands of their inheritance. Nelson's eisegisis is saying that this means everybody just needs to stay in their lands and that wherever they are will be Zion. Ummmm...what?!

Hey Connor I love your vids. My car has stock speakers. When I turn up the volume all the way on both my phone and the car, I still have to strain to hear. Would you mind mixing the audio like 1.25x louder, we can always turn it down. Thanks mate!
Maybe The Church zeros in on freedom of religion because it seems to encompass many of the other freedoms we hold dear. To have freedom of religion, one has to have the freedom to assemble, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, etc. They may be trying to FOCUS on freedom of religion without intending to ignore other freedoms.
Connor, I appreciate you more than you know. These musings are very interesting, informative. I like that you mention Communism/Marxism in an indirect and direct way ( Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn). Is Marxism, Babylon, just as much as anything else or even more so?
We had an opportunity to call it out 4 years ago but they told us to trust the arm of Flesh. My trust is with Trump, he seems to be the only one calling out Babylon. Fight fight fight!
Babylon (aka the King Men) infiltrated the US Government ... and big pharma, big military complex, big food, radical leftist senators and judges, big hollywood ... all support the infiltration. Captain Moroni and his Lieutenants, with the vote of 72,000,000 supporters, are about to excise Babylon out of America ... and return The Family, The Church and Self Reliance to their prominence.
I see what you mean… I felt a bit alone calling out Babylon in 2020. In the leaders’ defense- they actually did tell us not to trust in the arm of flesh, word for word. And that we should trust personal revelation. They also said that the time period was a test…

18:00. Joseph knew were were the literal House of Israel. The biggest lie of our time in our church are the members who have been sold the lie that we are mere gentiles, unworthy for those covenants and blessings promised to the birthright seed of Ephraim.
The way you become worthy of the blessings of the birthright seed is by first learning about what is required to belong to that kingdom and then living what you learned. And that is open to all without money, without price. Physical ancestry lines don't seem to guarantee salvation. It seems to be an individual journey. We are not mere Gentiles, we are holding the handbooks of instruction on how to come back into the presence of God while we are still in the flesh. So that means we are now accountable Gentiles with full knowledge of the covenants and blessings promised to the birthright seed and whether we are taught this in conference or not we will be judged by those books. We get what we are willing to receive and are held back by deception/ignorance, unbelief, hard heartedness.

The Nemenhah Record 13. And again, in the day that you do read these things and you are that little gathering of the Lord‟s people who would once again seek His face while yet in the flesh, look around you and behold! A man shall build him a house and it shall be a possession unto him, not a stewardship. In this is he cursed. And the wise shall teach him that because his wife shall have a claim upon him, that he shall be responsible for the support of his family, and this is right. But behold, the world shall teach him that he is to be the sole support for the family. And this shall the world use for a pitfall unto the man. For, the rulers of the land shall make the price of bread so high that he, with all his might, will be unable to provide for his family and his wife shall be forced to labor as well. But they shall labor away from the family and the rulers of the land shall take the children and they shall raise them up into bondage even greater than that under the weight of which their parents do labor. 14. Then shall every person labor away their lives for a tiny piece of land or a house or a conveyance and all shall be impoverished because of their need for property. This is Babylon the Great which shall fall and the fall thereof shall be great. And behold, none shall escape her fall except they shall have gathered out of the world and except they shall have given up the pursuit of her unclean things. 15. And behold, my children, be awake to these things and let not your eyes be dimmed so that you do not see them when they are ripe before you. For, in the day that the children of men have embraced the way of the world, even Babylon, they cannot approach the Way of God. And their prophets and seers shall be of no use to them in that day for they too shall have taught the ways of the world. In that day there shall not be a single community in the whole face of this fair and blessed land wherein the inhabitants thereof do succor each other as the Nemenhah do succor their neighbor, except for those very few who have come out of Babylon. 16. But behold, their wise men and their prophets shall have taught this way, even the way of the Gentile, for generations and they shall have been brought up in it themselves. And they shall teach the man that he must labor all his life for the things of the world and for the support of his family. And the day shall come that the family that labors together for their support, and not simply for their greater convenience and entertainment, shall be ridiculed and shunned. That man will be persecuted by the wise and by the shepherds of the flock as one who is not worthy of the things of God because he does teach his children to labor with him in providing the things that they need and in order that they might have somewhat more to give to them that need. 17. Yea, you shall see them driven from among the people. Yea, even as has been written in another place, because they shall be poor in the eyes of men, albeit they are rich in their own hearts and in the eyes of God, they shall be driven from the churches and the synagogues and they shall not be allowed to worship with the saints. Woe unto such a day! For the saints are become dross and shall find no comfort in their substance.
Marxism encapsulates an entire worldview, whereas capitalism is only an economic system. The strict definition of capitalism means the private ownership of the means of production and free exchange among individuals. It requires property rights but has no central control, which means in some sense it's not even a "system", it merely recognizes that cooperation will spontaneously arise as the result of individual choice, as long as property rights are enforced. The problem is that when most people talk about capitalism, They mix it with the idea of materialism, Even though capitalism is no more inherently materialistic than socialism or communism. It's only the fact that capitalism tends to produce an abundance that makes people associate capitalism with materialism, But you have to recognize this distinction. The gospel of Jesus Christ, which is the foundation of Zion, is built around the idea of changing individual nature, And then a collective identity will organically develop. All other collectivist ideologies begin with a top-down system of coercion which promises its own version of Utopia. So it has to be pointed out that capitalism, as an economic "system" , strictly understood, is compatible with zion. But capitalism by itself won't lead to human flourishing, any more than being free means that you will be wealthy. You have to use your freedom to become productive in order to produce wealth, And you must use your agency to choose good in order to build a happy Zion society. So freedom (which one referring to an economic system is capitalism) is necessary, but not sufficient.
When did church leaders ever say they don't care about the freedoms that go along with the entire first amendment, such as association? I really think that you're taking their statements a little myopically.
All they every talk about and legally promote is freedom of religion, while with their own newspaper, Deseret News, they stifle free speech all the time (witness COVID farce) and use tithes to finance global institutions, like the UN and WEF, which are bent on on achieving worldwide tyranny, and seeking to overthrow the freedom of all nations. So, yes, the record clearly shows they do not care about freedoms for individual members, but do myopically and inordinately focus on freedom religion, while using that freedom to amass hundred billion-dollar fortunes from tithing contributions for their own slush fund.
All I have to say to you is to get Babylon out of your heart. You heart I so full of Babylon that you reek of it. On the one hand, you speak of righteousness but on the other hand you have one foot in the church and one foot in the world and neither foot is in Zion. Zion is the pure in heart. Your heart is not pure. Repent and be born again. Then turn your life over to God and let him purify your heart and cleanse you from all unrighteousness that he may sanctify you and take you into his presence. You will never have Zion, no matter your physical location on the earth until you heart is sanctified. On the other hand, if you are sanctified, you take Zion with you where ever you go. Repent Connor and turn your whole heart over to God. I say this in the name of Jesus Amen

Follow in line… wait for the prophet to tell us something new… idk… I don’t think saints realize how dark things are…
And make sure to read just what the Come Follow Me writers deemed importance. /s/
Would we be united in Christ as a people at all if there wasn’t religion?
@@sisterstarseed what Good is it to be united in a religion if all the religions teach a false Christ?
I don’t watch all of your podcasts. I’m just listening to a past one presently that refers to the scriptures I quoted. I do realize how strange things can become with some. I also do have compassion upon Lehi and his family. Just imagine what his family thought and the faith and love and it took to follow their father, the absolute faith Lehi had and a sure knowledge and then came the “wo is me” regret! 🤪 As in, how could we/I have followed him…is he crazy or are we absolute idiots for following him to begin with!” Can you imagine their thoughts!
Fight fight fight.
A way to fight Babylon is to denounce deception. Furthermore, to disseminate truth without money and without price; not selling Christ for money
President Spencer W. Kimball said that. If fact, I think President Nelson was quoting President Kimball.
What if to keep our covenants we actually need to separate ourselves from the world?
Thank you Connor :)

Freedom of Choice based upon the principle of Rightful Freedom (see Thomas Jefferson) is that which allows all other Freedoms to Exist.
There are church camps in all the areas you will need when one is full more are available elsewhere
Connor, I appreciate you more than you know. These musings are very interesting, informative.
I like that you mention Communism/Marxism in an indirect and direct way ( Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn).

You shouldn’t trust Trump either 🤔 hold him accountable and help fight. YOU have to work while he’s there.

It doesn't guarantee salvation, but it does guarantee special and unique blessings if you live up to your gospel covenant.

The Nemenhah Record
What?
Both are diametrically opposed to God's plan and Zion. Both are counterfeits.
@@Veevslav1 Depends on how you are defining capitalism.
Mythology is cool
You now what, if you make enough money and have mental health, then I don't car about all this religious stuff, what else do you need
His heart is not "pure"? You can judge another person's heart?
Well maybe just treat people with love and you won't have to fight or flee
Did the "Saints" do this in Missouri and Illinois?
