Not Maya reminding me that I don't have to have a huge or long Bible time (as a pregnant mom of a toddler, this is so hard!) That ten minutes consistently each day can be just as effective! thanks for that reminder!

your channel and videos have inspired me to take better care of myself. I am not getting up at 4:00 a.m. and finding myself getting more accomplished in the first four hours before work than I ever have. I have a skin care routing, just wish I knew all the amazing secrets for when I was in high school. And reading the Bible is always a must. Thanks for reminding me to take time and regroup from life. You're the Best. Best wishes to you and your journey!!!!

    Thank you for the video.
I'm actually pretty firm and unmoveble in my values. Regardless of what other people say or what happens.
It takes a lot to change my priorities. It doesn't mean it's impossible, but you would need really good arguments or a kind of proof to change my mind.
And since most try to work from an emotional angle that doesn't work all that well on me.
It's due to a very specific reason. Some years ago a I had to rethink my values and believes. Because what I considered the truth, what I had taken from my family turned out to be contradictory to their actions. It wasn't exactly fun, but it was also far less dramatic than it sounds. It was confusing, because while I still had every single memory, they sort of weren't connected anymore.
The closest I can come to describe it, is a scene from Naruto, when he has that picture in his mind of team 7 and suddenly the picture falls apart, like a mirror. It's like someone described the feeling to somebody, who turned it into a drawing. The details are a little off. As I said, the memories themselves are intact. But I couldn't find a meaning in any of the memories. I couldn't draw any conclusions about what sort of person is this. Are they nice? Are they mean? Was it fine, when she gave me this present? My world view was shattered. And since I didn't know what else to do, I tried to model a new one while substituting my families views with logic. It was like a puzzle. Each memory was a piece and if they got connected in a fitting way, they would show me a true picture of what the world is.
Little children, who don't know the world yet, start by learning about their families and make assumptions from there about the rest of the world. The ones, who believe their parents to be nice and relayable, will assume that most people are relayable. And so on. With time the model of the world grows as they learn new things and meet new kinds of people.
But since my world view had failed me due to some things my family did, that was unlikely to work for me. I decided to go the other direction and try to get the frame first. So I asked, how can a society work? By teamwork, cooperation, support. We all need help in some things at some point. The other border was truth for me. It would do me no good, if this model failed too. So honesty, at least to myself, was essential. Between those, I worked on what values are helpful. What would work for me. And rebuild my world. One of the key-elements was the insight, that what is said and what is done, can be very different. I liked to think of it, as a seperate puzzle. One picture for what the person says and one picture for what the person does. By now I have a third picture per person. What they have as a world view.
The pictures I have of others aren't connected to each other that much. Because what one person says, doesn't always play a role in what another person does.
This admittedly highly idealistic view did fail me with the more mean people. I did realise lately, that I didn't think of the fact that people are still people. That they have needs and wants and that most decide what to do based on emotions. That some may not realise how people depend on support and teamwork. Money hides this need a little. Because if you can buy something for money, you don't feel like you depend on others all that much. Still, money is just something to simplify trades. If you don't have someone to trade with, very few people could survive in that case.
I didn't take into account that others may not see it this way and expected far more cooperation than what I got.
My own priorities, what I want in life haven't changed all that much regardless of this. Perhaps, that I want to get a pet, I before didn't think about. But neither my purpose nor my spark has changed. Even if I could not do much recently that gives me this spark (since losing my rabbits) I still have hope, that I can lit that spark again at some point. Funny enough, I could still work well on what I consider my purpose, even in the middle of the biggest chaos. But I consider both important. One is for me, to recover from setbacks or relax. It's my version of self-care. The other is for what others need and I can give.
While values are important, figuring out your spark, will make self-care easy. (Well, as easy as getting what your spark is at least) And if you have a believe about what your purpose is, that can lead your way through the craziest situations. Maybe it can protect you, as it has protected me.
My spark is pretty much anything cute and cuddly. What I consider my purpose to be, is to help create bridges between different people. I can often see the picture others have of something. So trying to understand where the other is coming from, is easier for me than most, I think. And explaining it to the other side went pretty well for me, as long as they wish to understand. Trying to get the idea across to somebody, who doesn't want to understand, will probably be next level and without a doubt, come with time.
What is your spark? And what do you think, is your purpose?
    Best wishes from europe

Great question! I think the best way for me to not have it affect my routine is to watch it week by week so it’s paced out (even though I hate cliffhangers and waiting!!) OR I’ll wait until winter or summer break to watch haha
