I have used it for years on & off for extreme trigeminal nerve pain and just recently for hand & foot pain due to lack of oxygen from Central Apnea...while it doesn't make it go away it certainly lessens the pain. Perhaps hyperbaric chamber therapy could help Nicole.

Your place in the mountains is in a stunning location. Here in my bit of NE Scotland it has been dry and sunny for three days in a row. It's still cold but being bright and dry is good after a very dark and wet few months. Patients being active and on strong pain medication is not what most palliative care nurses deal with. You are doing the best you can to keep what strength you have, which is great. Taking to your bed when you can get up and do stuff is not your way. The leg pain seems a difficult one to live with but maybe your nurse can get you something to help. Micro exercises are what I do too. The short sessions fitted in around normal movement around the house really helps me keep flexible and with strength in my legs and torso. I fear getting immobile through lack of exercise so push myself to keep my moving sessions going as often as possible. Your body is being pushed to it's limit by force of will power because you don't want to be stuck in bed. You are a special woman. Have a good week with your wife and dog. Hugs from Scotland.

I’m sorry to hear about your Neuropathy Nicole. I have it in both my feet and legs. The best thing I’ve found that helps is an over the counter supplement called Alpha Limpoic Acid. It’s been around for years but apparently not studied well until recently. Now I even hear doctors recommending it where before most doctors I’d talked to acted like they never heard of it. I’m also on Gabapentin which does help some. It makes you really sleepy at first but that does wear off over time. Even though I was RXd 3x a day I started out with one at bedtime. When that lost its effect of sleepiness I added the mid day capsule then later the morning. I wish you luck with whatever you decide and hopefully the neuropathy will subside on its own over time. Ohmigawd 😢 such a joy to see you - to be with you as you spend some time with us all - we love every bit of you here in Toronto 🇨🇦 … and pain be gone that bastard! … nerve pain responds to Lyrica - you will need a heavy dose but maybe ask them. ❤ and you’re right Nicole about nerve damage - I am paralyzed have been for 10-years and my mother couldn’t understand why I couldn’t strengthen my legs enough to walk again - she wasn’t realizing my muscles were fine but the nerves are as you say they’re a whole nuther thing - you can’t strengthen nerves - it ain’t the worst thing to have to use a powered chair to get around - I had an accident and damaged my spinal chord C5/6 … otherwise I’m perfectly healthy. ❤
I have a suggestion for the nerve pain. I have chronic nerve pain in my leg, and my Rheumatologist put me on Cymbalta. I was very skeptical that it would help, however, it does noticeably help. It's at least worth giving it a try (if your care team agrees).
Lidocaine patch is one option nerve pain. Also pregabilin (lyrica), gabapentin, neurontin are all good oral meds (capsules). On low dose lyrica for years for post herpetic neuralgia (nerve damage after shingles). I wouldn't be without it. Take care. 🐂

MS is one of the things that my neurologist thinks I have. It is awful how quick it can change someone’s life. 😢 I had to have surgery to remove my cochlear implant in the middle of cancer treatment so I can finally have an MRI, it is scheduled for 1st of May. I was born with spina bifida so I use a wheelchair anyway, but something is very wrong with me neurologically and they are trying to work it out. I also have some undiagnosed autoimmune disease attacking my entire body, possibly Lupus (which can mimic MS), unfortunately the wait is about 2 years for a rheumatologist. I am scared the autoimmune disease could kill me. My liver is full of tumours, I have lung nodules, inflammation and enlarged lymph nodes everywhere and they thought I had stage 4 cancer or multiple cancers. My cancer is almost in remission but I feel worse than ever. Nerve pain is something I deal with every day so I know exactly how you feel. 😢 I am so sorry you are dealing with this. ❤
@@feastmastress thank you! I also scored a rheumatologist appointment at an Eye and Ear Hospital across the road from where I am doing my MRI on the same day! I had an eye emergency back in February and my immune system was clearly attacking my eye. Apparently the rheumatologist specialises in autoimmune diseases that affect the eye, but my doctor said would diagnose and treat autoimmune diseases that affect the whole body too. I hope this is my year of getting answers and treatment! And hopefully remission from cancer. 😁
As you can imagine she’s struggling mentally but in about a week or so she’ll have her foot surgery and at least that will lift one burden. Thank you as always for the love and support you always have for us. ❤️💪🏻🌈
Hey, friend. Woooo, those first few seconds of this video were rough. You were so dehydrated and my heart went out to you because I knew you were just miserable, and that the rainbows were really hard to see in that moment. Here's a couple to keep close by in case of an emergency.🌈🌈 But then you showed up with tea, bright eyes and an even brighter smile. And the moose! I've never seen a moose in the wild. One day... Pregabalin and gabapentin are both good options for nerve pain. I'm allergic to both. A person who has dealt with nerve pain since 1990. Ironic, right? Yesterday was an especially brutal day with the nerve pain. My disease got a bit pissed off with me because I did a steroid injection 3 weeks ago. Steroids tend to push my disease down into some deep, dark corner of my body. But the steroids weaken after a few weeks and my disease came ROARING back, mad as hell. It had been coming for a couple of days but yesterday I woke up with my entire pelvis, but especially my right SI joint and hip flexors, under attack. I spent the entire day on the verge of tears because the pain was some next level shit. You know the kind that shoots down your leg? Mine was shooting down in the back, front, as well as the inner and outer thigh areas to my knee. I was *this close* to going to the ER. I don't go to the ER unless someone forces me too. I was gonna go on my own. I thought of you at one point, and of others in my life that are ill. It helps in those dark moments to know that others get it and that I'm not alone in my battle. Enjoy the time together while the Goddess is healing. Love, light and positive energy to you both...as always.👊💪❤🌈
I take both gabapentin and duloxetine that help nerve pain, highly recommend. You can also take your pain management with it, like I take Norco as well. I'm glad to see you have such a beautiful view, that is healing as well to the body and soul. Gentle hugs 🫂
