To be fair, he does have a lot to do with deltarune, specifically. UNDERTALE just has mentions of him scattered here and there that you'll very rarely see in any normal circumstance and you wont even see him directly unless you purposely frick with the files, whereas in deltarune his leitmotif is present in MANY of the songs, mus_smile (may have a different name) plays when near the doors of the bunker, and the "Well, there is a man here." easter *egg* behind the tree may have something to do with him. So...yeah.

So I have a theory: Deltarune is a prequel to Undertale, not a sequel (Sorry if that’s common knowledge). Jevil is who sans was, and Papyrus is lancer. I believe their skeletons were found and injected with determination. Sans has no memory of his former life, neither does papyrus. They woke up underground together, saw they were the same race, and became bros. They felt like family to eachother at that point. King Asgore went with it because he needed more followers. This is where gaster comes into play. He injects sans (not papyrus) with determination. He falls into the CORE and that’s the last anyone saw of him. Sans was appointed judge and papyrus just wanted to be popular and recognized. I have no proof, but it’s a fun little theory of mine. Editing this one year later: Toby Fox debunked this whole theory but it’s still kinda fun

Gaster created Deltarune, beacuse he accidentaly cut the world in 2 parts: Undertale and Deltarune, 2 different worlds, with same reflections, same characters, same personalitys, all is the same. Gaster, stays in Undertale beacuse of the REAL Sans and Papyrus (Deltarune! Sans and Paps are probaly copy cats) and he eventually fall on The Void, fading out of existence, and been forgoted by EVERYONE (except Undertale! Sans ofc, Deltarune! Sans probaly dont remember Gaster)

I had to try almost fifty times to beat Jevil the first time but I xan beat him easily at this point... I can't quite get past Sans's last attack yet but I also only play a fan game to fight him with replaced sprites but the same attacks (cause I don't wanna hurt anyone) so I haven't practices Sans nearly as much or as recently... though I'm pretty sure I could still beat them both at once if I had to... now why they'd be fighting me, I don't know...
