You are the only reliable source in the entire kibbe community from online youtube. I love how you only always use verfied celebrities and only go by exactly what kibbe means.❤ thank u
You have no idea how much your video have help me finding my kibbe body type. I really thought that im a Soft Natural for a year until I watched your video about "THE MISCONCEPTION ABOUT GAMINE" im a Soft Gamine. I also noticed not many kibbe expert dont talk about the height which is very important.... (I.e Taylor Swift is not a gamine she is a Dramatic) Thank you ma'am Why did you delete that misconception about gamine video?
Thank you for this series! I keep going back and forth between "am I SG or something else"? I know that accommodations, being "narrow" etc is relative to yourself and not to others, and that Kibbe said not to compare yourself to celebrities. I can't see myself as "Spitfire Chic". But seeing verified SGs next to other IDs, especially your observation about the eyes, helped me understand and realize how I do have the essence besides the accommodations. Thank you and great content!
Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into making these videos. I started my journey thinking I was pure R, then got confused between R and TR, and at some point even SN... Thanks to you I'm now 100% confident I'm pure R ❤
🌻 I love you series. I am look forward to your flamboyant gamine video. I am having a hard time looking at myself objectively. I actually think I am a soft gamine, but Facebook group said flamboyant. I know I don't look good in geometrical patterns, and I do have a bias toward floral and round shapes. Face wise I don't think I am a flamboyant gamine. I have too much roundness, like full cheeks with dimples and fuller lips. My jawline is rounded though I have a pointy chin. It's my body that confuses me. I do have longer limbs, short torso, and I have lost weight so my curves are not so evident to me. I am 5'3 and have been told I look younger for my age, even up to 20 years younger, so I am almost certain I am a gamine, just I don't know which one. Like I said before I love the series and looking forward to more. Thanks again.
Really i would say im sg but im not sure, people tell me i look younger than my age. I doubt because my bone structure is delicate and look small for real, not like sg most of them looks wider and little heavy but me no. 😢
I'm still conflicted about the short hair part as a requirement to be a soft gamine, I'm convinced I'm in the gamine family (not sure if soft or flamboyant due to being underweight), I think I call pull of short hair at least 1 inch below chin because I have a weak chin and small jaw, shorter than that makes it look worse 😢
In Kibbe’s system she has the essence that SNs are supposed to have, which I will explain in the next video. Romantic & classic is from other systems (such Kitchener or TiB). The essence in Kibbe is the description of the IDs energy, like in this video I explained that SG essence is vibrant, charming etc, it’s not “gamine essence”.
@@tamarathorsen horizontal openness of the with of her face, square ish jaw, blunt, wider nose (before nose job), full lips. I suspected that I'm a soft gamine after watching one of your previous video. I thought I can't be a soft gamine, because I'm not a stereotypical doll-like girl. I'm more like Winona Ryder, very like Thandie Newton or Audrey Tatou 😊
🌻🌼Thank you for the nice and clear video! And I have a question about the male soft gamines! Would most of them be the curve+vertical ones? And they don't have much height limitations right? Like they can be taller than normally for afab people but not super tall I guess.
I believe Kibbe has mentioned that male soft types don’t have curve actually. But you are right, they can be taller than women but not tall overall. I don’t think he has given a specific height limit for them though.
@@stylebysophianicole oh?? I did not expect that I thought I saw some having curve bc also then how would they be soft? I will go search about that thanks! :)
Hi, i am a bit confused because to be clear by juxtaposition, are you talking about contrast? For example i have heard they are a contrast between yin and yang. For example i heard they may have yang facial features (almond eyes, pointy nose, etc )but with yin facial features too( big eyes, small nose, etc). I though this was what it meant to be in the gamine family? Thanks.
Yes, they have a combination of opposites in their faces but it’s a specific look. I wouldn’t fully rely on that because unless someone is a classic, they are likely to have different yin and yang features. For example there are SDs or Rs with large eyes and small mouths.
@@stylebysophianicole Thanks very much for replying. So if i understand correctly, if you are yin dominant having some few yang features in you doesn't automatically make you a soft gamine? Because i have been confused between soft gamine and romantic for some time but Because am not pure yin, i wondered if that automatically made me a soft gamine instead of romantic like i suspect. Thanks.
I don’t agree every SG will look best in chin length hair. SG women have a tendency to have wide cheek bones and creating width in that area will exacerbate the cheeks especially if you have thick hair and make the face look smaller, rounder , fuller and there for more baby like . No woman wants to look like a baby. Some SGs like the shown don’t have as much width in the cheeks and some have pointy chins which helps with shorter hair cuts working . I look better with longer hair not because of the length but because it adds more shape and softness and I have a short face , no chin and very wide cheek bones and long hair doesn’t magnify any of it which brings more attention to my features . I have a long layers and long curtain fringe that comes just past my jawline so it creates shorter lines and brings attention upwards to my features whiteout again magnifying my short face , wide cheeks and no chin. I have had my hair at chin length but elongated at the front just above the shoulders before but it had to be thinned out and blow dried or straightened to limit fullness . I may suit a pixie but I would never try it and I know I would look best with longer hair. I think it would make more sense to say short hair looks holistically balanced . To that I would say yes short hair would look holistically balanced but wouldn’t look good with my face
Maybe you aren’t SG then, I have seen Kibbe too on facebook saying that you can’t be a SG if short hair looks bad so this video is correct. He wouldn’t consider you a SG and he doesn’t type as gamines people who look bad with short hair.
@@canbelto3765 you obviously have no understanding of what I have just said or of the kibbie styling system. Telling me a person you don’t know that kibbie wouldn’t type me as SG solely based on the fact I have wide cheek bones (a big SG feature) and short face (another SG feature) is ridiculous
@@Carrie-sgda Sounds like you have no understanding of what you are talking about because Kibbe has indeed said to rule out SG if you look bad with short hair and I’ve seen it with my own eyes on facebook.
