Interesting though because audreys facial features are similar to Lucy Liu when it comes to sharpness etc obviously they don’t look the same but the kibbe description is in par compared to dramatic features. Maybe she’s dramatic classic?

Found out about you because many RUclipsr misrepresent kibbe. You’ve helped square away many of my misconceptions and understand the system better. I’m most excited for your videos on classics. On the kibbe subreddit most said soft classic when I posted there a few years back, though there were some who said dramatic classic or soft gamine.

🍎I really see the fresh, sensual but approachable (grounded essence) in Soft Naturals really clearly. I haven't studied Florence Pugh but I see her as a Gamine. SG I think. She looks very short but she wears high heels to elongated her silhouette. Also the sharp chin and cuteness. She isn't SN for sure ❤️

🌞 A really great and accurate look at this image ID! I agree about Audrey Hepburn. She is a shorter length Dramatic and people see her in FG lines but that was styling and yes she can pull them off however she isn't a gamine if she is 5ft 7". She reminds me of Kate Moss who was known as gamine/waifish in the 90s modelling days and looks short but she is 5ft 7" mid height and a dramatic too like Audrey. These 'shorter' dramatics can pull off FG looks if their faces are gamine/waifish like. But cruciallly these dramatic need to be around 5ft 7". Taller dramatic can't do this 🌞

I'm still conflicted about the short hair part as a requirement to be a soft gamine, I'm convinced I'm in the gamine family (not sure if soft or flamboyant due to being underweight), I think I call pull of short hair at least 1 inch below chin because I have a weak chin and small jaw, shorter than that makes it look worse 😢

I still don’t see Tracee Ellis Ross as a FN. I was so sure I’m a flamboyant natural as well (I have a very similar body to her, I’m also mixed and have curls) but I feel bit her and I are leaning much more SD. I’ve been wearing FN lines so much and it just doesn’t seem right. Especially now that I’m overweight. I’m so confused 😢😂

🌼 The point about the hair is interesting, I keep seeing people being obsessed about how SG can look "like a mermaid" with long hair. But if the best hair for SG is short, there must be a disconnect between what Kibbe meant what we're interpreting it as. I mean, who wouldn't want to look like a mermaid? Sure, Parisian chic bob is cute, but a mermaid!? Sometimes it's just clear as day if someone suits short hair better, like Halle Berry, she's definitely at her best with a pixie cut. With Winona I think a longer bob suits her the best, because her double curve is kind of extreme. I personally think, in modern standards, one might be a gamine if they look the best with hair completely pulled out of their face, or with very short bangs. Types that look better with face framing layers, curtain bangs and layering are romantics and naturals imo.

Thanks for the video, truly. These ladies at 1:21-1:39 look so much like me. I have been reading Kibbe's book and on paper SN has always sounded like me, but never have the reference photos looked like me. I think it's interesting too that Lana and Natalie Wood are SN and SG, types I've been contemplating. They're surprisingly similar and maybe that's why SG lines haven't been completely out of place on me. It's super annoying that certain aesthetics have been connected to the bodytypes and it really restricts the style inspo, when it's supposed to be about construction of the garment. I do not wish to see any more beige SC or SN Pinterest boards thanks.
