@doctor_owl the dog bed was dirty and preventing it from sleeping fully. You can see the stink cloud above it, and one of the first things the maid does is clean the dog bed.

@@PointsofDataNot really. He needed socialization, that’s what the cloud above the dog meant, it’s two people talking to each other. Appears when sims need socialization as well. It makes it sadder cause he couldn’t sleep due to feeling alone 😢😂.

I like to think that High Maintenance is one of Vidcund's cursed clones after growing up.

In Sims 2, when you call to go out on a date, if you fast forward game speed, the timer for the date will incorrectly accelerate too, so that it ends before the transportation even arrives. Make certain to play at regular slow speed until the date officially begins to circumvent the issue. There also is a mod by LazyDuchess that fixes this problem, "Date/Outing Stood Up Timer Fix".
I wondered what that was! Not being able to see the whole house at the time, and knowing that High's needs are ALWAYS super dooper low, I assumed he'd gone to bed and time sped up because Kevin didn't force him back awake INSTANTLY. But if there's a glitch with dates in general, maybe this time it ISN'T Kevin blithely not looking at any statuses ever. :P

@@TheMissileHappy Not controlling the baby is a big point to it all. Your character is entirely reliant on the intelligence of the Sim parents for a bit, seeing if they can manage to keep you alive long enough to become a toddler.

The "Stood Up" thing is a glitch that confused me for way too long - basically once you ask someone on an outing or a date you CANT FAST FORWARD as the taxi will always take the same getting there no matter the speed - maybe it'll help someone else.
Yes, it's soo annoying, and there is a fix for it! "A stood up fix" I believe. It took me sooo long to figure out why it happens xd

I’m a big fan of this longer video format, not sure how others feel about it but I know for certain I prefer the fact we actually get some sort of conclusion in the videos generally speaking, whilst I also like the episodic videos I’m much more of a bing watcher than watch bit by bit and this feels more binge watcher friendly to me personally.

The downtown date glitch where you accidentally stood her up happens when you fast forward after asking someone on a date to a community lot. For some reason the timer speeds up massively
It's very fun to watch Kevin play the sims without the main goal of just killing people. Seeing him care for other sims that isn't his is amazing to see.
Speaking of reprogramming, it took me almost the entire video before I realized Kevin had conditioned me to perceive a woman permanently asleep in the walls as a normality.

I was watching the corner where the woman in the wall as and she woke up for a moment between the engagement and the decision to marry then was asleep again next time she was on scene a few seconds later.
Which is honestly creepier than her just sleeping all the time. It’s almost like she wakes up, checks if there’s a way out now, then goes back to sleep as if time traveling forward, waiting for her chance.
