YaY. So excited to see more glass artist jumping on youtube. As a glass artist myself I search "stained glass" at least once a week on youtube just to see what's new, and honestly, there are only a handful of accounts creating stained glass content. Your video was GREAT. Well paced and informative for someone just learning. I look forward to more content from you.🧡

I must say, this is one of The best tutorials I've watched! You are very thorough and can't wait to see more of your videos!

Delightful listening to you speak. English is a lost art. ps) After watching your videos I have decided that creating stained glass art is NOT for me. WAAAAY too much work!!!!

In the future, would you also be able to do a video on how to design your own stained glass designs? Are there any limitations on how big or small the glass can be, shapes that can be done, your process, etc. I think that would be a really cool video topic! Especially for those of us who like some less popular/underrated Pokemons 😊

I'm currently working on this for my new video! Life got in the way so I had a bit of a YT hiatus, but hopefully I will have a new video soon! :)

This person is GLORIOUS. I love them! Sprigatito is my new favorite Pokemon, maybe even over my beloved Eevees. (I demand they release a Ghost Type Eevee stat. I'm old and can't wait much longer.)

I think it's kind of wild but we haven't had a new Eevee type in a while. It feels wrong that there's not one for every Pokémon type.

Where do you get your glass? Do you look for discarded glass or always order newly made glass?

Great video! What kind of came are you using? There seem to be a lot and so many tools made to work with came that it feels overwhelming.

Thank you! I use a hobby came from Tempsford Stained Glass. Most of the tools I use for the came are actually ones I scavenged from my partners tool box! Once you get a feel for it it’s fairly easy to work with

Earlier this month I finished my first piece. I definitely noticed some things I did wrong and learned from the experience. I'm glad I watched this. Even though I understand the process generally because you had some good tips, particularly in the copper foiling process. I made something based on the Bob-omb as I also appreciate Nintendo. This is a great tutorial and thank you for producing it.

Great video! Thank you very much for the clear explanation.
Question: If I would try to do this myself as a hobby, how much extra glass would I roughly need to get because of mistakes and broken glass? Would you recommend twice the amount? 😃

Thanks for the video! When scoring a line in the glass, do we have to do only edge-to-edge cuts? Like, not stopping in the middle. I heard on another tutorial that you have to do it from one edge to another edge, but here it kind of looked like you did some that met in the middle (not sure, am I wrong?)
I didn't know you could paint on stained glass! That is so helpful to know. Thank you!

      @created.by.lottie  Год назад

I think this may have been how I edited the video!
You are correct about the edge-to-edge cut, though sometimes I may not go all the way to the edge becasue if its a particularly textured piece of glass and I'm using more force than normal I can slam the cutter into my mat haha

First of all, forget my comment on your other video. I should have watched this video first! You're video's are great. Just what a newbie needs and very informative. I do have one question, when your came comes to a point, it looks like you cut it right where the came bends. Am I seeing that correctly? It that done to make it look more pointed, more finished?
Please make more videos. New subscriber from Washington State 🇺🇸 😀🌲🦀

Awww thank you! I do have more videos in the works I’ve just been super busy but I will get around to editing them soon I swear! 😅
And yes! For those sections I cut it right on the bend so it would look more pointed

I’ve never tried that and Elmer’s is hard to come by in the UK so I’ll definitely try that when I run out, thanks for the tip!

So many tings are becoming hard to source in this country. I'm currently largely inactive in stained glass making, due to expense and inability to sell stuff. I live in Central London, which probably adds another layer of difficulty. Where do you source your materials? As far as I can see there are only 3 now extant in the UK, Tempsford, Creative and Pearsons.

Is it compulsory to bake it in the oven?

    • @created.by.lottie

With the paint I use yes, if you don’t it will still scratch off. I haven’t managed to find any paint that stays on and doesn’t require a bake yet
