- In this video I'll be playing around with a new add on that was sent over to me to automate the Bambu Lab A1 Mini printing and allow for it to print multiple plates one after the other.

This is absolutely nutty. I am simultanously intrigued and frightened to try this out when they have the update for the A1.
That was my first thought when I saw it!
This is so innovative. I didn’t know I needed this until now 😂
same
This is so cool. I can't use it practically right now, but I might just have to rearrange to try this.
Love the idea!
This is brilliant 🤩
Ingenious!!
I can only dream of being this smart. So cool.
okay, this is amazingly cool. But I have to say I feel like you could just have the print head knock the pieces off the plate once its cooled. They have almost no stick once its actually cooled.
Probably has reliability issues when prints have supports of any kind and may get left behind on the print bed which will then make the other prints fail
I’ll get it when bambu gets on board with it I’m a little leery about this but brilliant idea
Omg I do want this now
Ohh, much better video!!! Oh my!
Please make yourself some studio lights
Me sitting here looking at my paper weight mini A1 from the last blob of death malfunction thinking 🤔 more headaches
Damn, that sounds like a nightmare!
That is kind of cool but it seems like a regular printer without a tray so everything spits out but it bunches up and scatters slowly 😂 absolutely genius design wonder if they are branching out to other bed slingers
is it just me or the mini looks like the Enterprise in Star trek when viewed on the side🤔
Someone has got to make that mod 🤓
LOL that was the first thing I thought as well when I saw the sideview. haha
Needs must. I tried a belt configuration and it was a 50/50 solution. This looks like it would be so much more stable.
This is a pretty cool idea. I'll have to see if someone has made one for the Prusa MK3.
So... I'd still need to get up and grab the plates it spits out or it's gonna keep piling up fresh hot ones on top? If I need to intervene, why can't I just swap them myself?
Well.. i guess you could put some slide below there to move thr plate out of the way
Where is this available to buy?
I agree, very clever. I have an A1 and it has worked flawlessly except for that user fellow that shows up occasionally and screws things up….
So the app is a custom Gcode inserter to the pre-generated Gcode of the sliced file.
Did they say anything about the kit price?
It's kinda weird that they made this a whole webapp and stuff. It's just end gcode to swap the plates and then queued sliced file.
If you didn't care about progress tracking and being able to stop and start in the middle you could even have all the sliced STL gcode pasted back to back in a file with the swaps in between and the printer wouldn't know the difference.
Fundamentally the instructions printers take are incredibly simple.
Do you see the web app and interface as a huge reason for you feeling comfortable using this? Or would you trust it the same if it packaged it all up and they told you to send that to print blindly?
For me I feel a lot more comfortable with the web app. For the kind of user I am, it definitely makes this easier to access and use.
I’m not an expert on g-code so haven’t tinkered.
@@GrayScalpMiniatures makes sense
Does this allow the ams lite still be used for multi colour prints?
Yes
Cost a lot in build plates at 30-40$ each
Gotta pay for automation
