"It's Only A Paper Moon" from the last season of DS9 is my favorite Star Trek episode. And probably one of the best acting seen in the whole Star Trek canon by Aron Eisenberg as a war veteran suffering from PTSD.
It was a huge loss when Aron Eisenberg passed away. He should have had an Emmy for work on DS9, but especially for that particular episode. Superb acting.
Awww! SEE? NOW You've gone and done it! THAT Brought tears to my eyes! Aron was one VERY SPECIAL MAN!
I met him at a Trek Con many years ago... and on the Sunday of the con, I was walking past him and just said, "Hey Aron" and he stopped and turned around and said, "Hey Joe! What are you up to right now?" {HE REMEMBERED MY NAME??? SERIOUSLY???!!!} And I just said, "Nothing... I'm going to go have some lunch!" And he said, "THAT Sounds like a GREAT Idea! Mind if I tag along?" {Did I MIND if he "TAGGED ALONG"??? AGAIN! SERIOUSLY???!} So what WOULD have probably been an hour or so lunch turned into an almost FOUR HOURS just sitting and talking and laughing!
Aron was one VERY VERY AWESOME Person! When I had heard that he had passed away... I felt like I had lost a REAL Friend?!
He was SO Funny and Personable and Just AMAZING! And knowing how he battled with SUCH Harsh health issues... He was ALSO VERY COURAGEOUS!
ARON... Where ever you are... YOU made a Difference not only in MY LIFE But in EVERY LIFE You EVERY TOUCHED!
I MISS YOU MY FRIEND! :(...
@@j.s.connolly8579 I am envious that you met Aron and got to spend some time with him! Cherish those memories! I think we got spoiled for choice in DS9 by the series having so many excellent actors. But Aron was special, it seemed as if his own personal courage fed Nog's character and made him unforgettable. The episode Valiant was another superb episode where Nog learns about the narrow relationship between courage and responsibility.
Agreed but every time I go through the series with someone, when I see that episode, "I know soon no more watching the late great Aron Eisenberg as Nog" or more DS9 war. It was amazing to see him working on Star Trek Online and if you want more Nog - Aron Eisenberg acting in Star Trek Online is amazing too. It was so cool how he stayed with the Franchise for years, go play it You wont be disappointed. It's free on steam, and definitely will fully immerse you in Star Trek Universe, and the plot is both A, B and Kelvin story Canon line to Star Trek.
Great episode
THat's a great list.
"Rule # 4.06, Sub-section A, Paragraph 4, look it up, but do it in the stands, Yooooouuuu'rrrreeeee *GONE* !" --One of Odo's best lines in the series.
They completely cast that character in a new light with that role
@@anthonysmith3577 YEP! René Auberjonois Was SO AWESOME As ODO! When I met Aron Eisenberg, Rene was at the same Con and I got to met HIM and talk to him as well! I told him how MUCH I Loved him being the ORIGINAL "Father Mulcahy" in the M*A*S*H* movie and that if William Christopher had NOT taken the roll I would have liked HIM to have done it!
Like Aron, Rene was SUCH a Great person! ALSO VERY Funny and Personable! He ALWAYS LOVED His fans!
WE MISS YOU BOTH! I HOPE "NOG" Is STILL Irritating ODO Somewhere... OUT THERE?! :D
And You KNOW that René Auberjonois had SUCH a GREAT TIME Doing that! TOO FUNNY! And people think ODO had NO Sense of Humor!
Just watch MANY of the episodes with him and Quark! Those two actors actually became VERY VERY Close friends in real life!
When Rene passed... Armin Shimerman was Devastated! As were pretty much EVERYONE that had been on DS9! Same with Aron Eisenberg!
The rest of the cast said they felt like they had lost a little brother! :(
My pick would be "Nor the battle to the strong." The DS9 episode where Jake ends up in a warzone. A truly outstanding episode that just gets lost in the shuffle and left off best of lists cause DS9 just has that many fantastic episodes.
An amazing episode from an amazing series, absolutely patrician chioce my friend!
YES! I'm always saying the same thing. ...Nor the Battle to the Strong is an excellent episode! But it seems to get lost among all the other excellent episodes DS9 has to offer.
This is the "problem" with DS9....almost all the episodes are top quality!
You know there are two very significant things about this episode. The first is that they change the uniform designs to match the movie Star Trek: First Contact. The second is that the Bashir in this episode till the season finale is a changling spy. I remember thinking when the season finale aired how did I miss the clues.
@@williamharris743 are you serious Bashir was the Changling in this episode? That's very disappointing as it takes away the impact of the character.
"Death to the opposition" is definitely up there, along with "I am NOT a merry man". Michael Dorn; whaddanactor. =)) 🖖😂
That line from ST:TNG still cracks me up every time lol. "I protest. I am NOT a merry man." Absolutely classic lol.
Worf had some of the best one-liners. And some say he didn't have a sense of humor.
"Warrior's drink"
To Keiko, "You may now give birth"
@@marilynanderson4109 and upon hearing Keiko was going to have a second child, "Now?"
Carbon Creek was one of my favourite episodes on my rewatch of Enterprise.
That one where Worf falls through parallel universes, and a bazillion Enterprises show up at the end.
Parallels.
oh yeah I always really loved this one
That scene at the end with the grizzled Riker from the universe all but conquered by the Borg has had me intrigued for decades.
@@jbone4119 "I will fuck this up for EVERYONE if it means WE have to go back!"
@@jbone4119 Me too!
'Data's Day' the beginning of the 'O'Brian must suffer' episodes
That's what happens when you marry Keiko.
@@johngaltline9933 accurate.. though I'm sure the actress is a fine person, the character of keiko is just such a prima donna
*Hard Time to follow...*
My fav under-rated episode is DS9 Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang where the mob take over Vic's and the crew plan a heist to rescue his Lounge is just pure pleasure. The great scene where they head to the holosuite looking like a ST the version of Ocean's Eleven is superb.
Oh yeah that one is great
*The Best Is Yet To Come!~* and then the next episode heads into the war...
So many underrated eps:
_DS9_ "Sanctuary": Alien refugees try to integrate & relocate to Bajor - Bajor refuses - and the refugees exit with a chilling comment on what the Bajorans have become.
_Voyager_ "Macrocosm": Janeway goes full John McClane/Ripley alone against invading aliens.
_DS9_ "It's Only a Paper Moon": Nog deals with his PTSD in the holodeck with the help of Vic Fontaine. A Top 3 _DS9_ episode & a franchise best.
"Deadlock" is incredible. _Voyager_ is crazy underrated.
So underrated! I just watched it recently, and had a great time.
Hmmm...I might have to give "Sanctuary" a rewatch because I do not believed I had considered that it might be political commentary on Israel until just now.
TNG "Lower Decks" - such a potent episode as seen from the eyes of junior officers.
That conversation in Similitude Sim and Phlox had: "You were a damn good son." Gets me every time. 😢
“Take Me Out to the Holosuite” is a nice break from a tough section of the long Dominion War arc. The scene where everyone tries and fails to understand rules of baseball is hilarious, as is Odo practicing his umpire calls in his office, and when the spectators are removed from the stands.
The best part is that Rom's actor nearly went into professional baseball, and they made Rom the worst player on the team. Now that's acting lol
@@bonzairob he switched which hand he normally threw and batted with to look bad.
@@joermnyc YES HE DID! AND He is ACTUALLY a VERY TALENTED SINGER AND MUSICIAN to boot!
SO MANY of the people within the STAR TREK Universe are actually MULTI-TALENTED! :D
When Worf yells, "Find him and kill him!", still cracks me up.
Beats water polo maybe, but then again, I never played it and it wasn't offered as a p.e. class at my college either. Did they ban baseball and football? Archer and others were playing basketball in a launch bay on their ship.
Cheryl Gates McFadden is both an actress and a choreographer. As an actress she's credited as Gates McFadden, and as a choreographer she's credited as Cheryl McFadden. It's no coincidence that they chose her character to teach Data how to dance.
Thank you for that info. I always thought Gates was a strange name for a woman
Carbon creek is a great ep, I'm glad mestrals character got expanded on in the novelverse
The best part is, he is named after the real life inventor of Velcro, George de Mestral.
@ that's nice, learn something new every day
I liked when Maggie took Mestral to the ball game BECAUSE the actress playing Maggie was in "A League of Their Own" as Shirley Baker
The best part about the baseball episode is that the actor who plays Rom was actually very good at baseball despite the story demanding he be the worst so they made him play left handed for filming
He even played lefty to help him 'stink' at baseball because Max Grodenchik is actually a righty
The first Star Trek episode of any show I ever watched was Voyager's Deadlock. I had come into the middle of it on TV and didn't know it was Star Trek. I was confused, but managed to understand most of what was going on and loved it. Been watching Star Trek ever since.
For personal reasons, I like TNG's "Family". Years later, seeing Picard absolutely sobbing about his brother and nephew etc. dying in a fire was the second biggest gut punch/ tear jerk in Star Trek history.
Fun fact: Max Grodenchick actually knew how to play baseball, but had to "dumb down" for the character of Rom.
I did find that an interesting and ironic fact 😆
I liked Dax’s response to Solak. “Human, did I forget to wear my spots today?”
Quark’s comment was gold “all that intelligence and he still doesn’t know what a human looks like.”
"Find him and kill him!" still cracks me up so many years later. Such a great episode.
Agree with every episode on this list. You guys could easily do a part 2 and part 3 of this video.
Sarah gets it. Dang, there are just so many good ones...so many episodes personal to us the viewers.
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooobooooooooooooooooooioooooooooooooooooooioooooiooobooiooooooooooooooobooooooooooojoooooooooooooooioobooooooooooooooooooioooooooooooooooooooioooooooooooooooooooooooooojoooooboooooobooooooooooooooojoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooboojoooooobooooooo i ooooooooooooojoooooojoojoooooooioooooooooooooooobooooojoo
I think Darmok deserves more credit than it gets, to me it's Trek at its purest form.
It's hugely loved by fans
That episode had a substantial amount of influence on my professional interest in Linguistics.
Sokath, his eyes uncovered.
“clues” is probably in my top 10 episodes of TNG. Brilliantly written. It’s also goes to show that you can still make a strong episode on a limited budget, something the newer series need to remember.
"Clues" has issues though it is a great episode.
1) At the end everything is wrapped up in literally seconds - that is Production.
2) Depending on how long the second "Fixing" takes; sooner or later they will come across a time beacon and find out they are way off on time vs the 'few minutes' they were 'out'.
"It goes to show you can still make a strong episode on a limited budget, something newer series need to remember"
That's a short paraphrase & I'll cap it with this.
ST:P, ST:DSC & ST:LD all have their place here and now.
TV was different then & even then great shows (Flashforward) got canceled if their was no "buzz" around it.
TV watching today is wholly different as some more flash & larger budgets are needed to pull a viewer in.
A solid story underneath will keep conversations going (hence DS9 [a favorite by many but I love VOY more] has plenty of smaller episodes that stand alone because the larger arc could be put on pause from time to time.
Basically the thinly veiled diss/complaint to new Trek is not needed, don't like it move on.
I'm just happy new series are on to get more people in.
I've learned (I grew up watching TNG, DS9 & VOY on tv with no DVR) more from the new Trek break down videos about older Trek then any other Trek show previously mentioned.
The lowkey shade is not necessarily is what I'm saying. Have a good day!🙏🏾🙏🏾👋🏾
@@danielland3767
Good points!
I never got into DS9 until a few years ago with Amazon Prime.
Damn good story arc.
@@StudioDaVeed DS9 is GOOD!
But seeing every day life made me invested in characters that payout at the end (The best of both worlds 1 & 2).
When Picard was abducted & assimilated by the Borg, it was shocking because we had spent daily lives with the crew, as if they where family.
You maybe can pull it out of a 13 episode seasons but I like long seasons sometimes
@@StudioDaVeed Yahooo!!!! thank god after all these years i've finally found someone who understands about how time beacons work. Thank you!!. Go have a read of the post I made it about it.
"Take Me Out to the Holosuite" is underrated? I thought that episode was universally loved and considered one of the series best.
Idk why everyone craps on Enterprise, it's pretty good for the most part ,it definitely has hits and misses but overall it was a good series...except for the last episode . Should have had a couple more seasons to really put it all together.
Shame was we were just getting to the Romulan war.
Enterprise was a victim of Trek fatigue.
This is Star Trek. You're supposed to like one series and hate everyone that likes any of the other ones.
@@gregoryliedtka7510 at least on the part of Rick Berman.
Yea there was alot of story to tell. Well as a life long Trek fan I like all the series some more than others but still a fan
"The WHO?!" -Odo looks extremely concerned to hear about The Soulless Minions of Orthodoxy and the strange goings-on attributed to them
"We don't know who they are, either..."
That's a classic line too,@@saryphx. Might I suggest using quotation marks? For an instant, I thought you were strongly expressing disapproval of my comment. :-P
"Take Me Out To The Holosuite" is hands down my favorite random Star Trek episode. Mainly due to me and my family's love of baseball. Baseball is in our family's history, our blood, our passion. The last conversation with my Grandma (who raised me) was about baseball. She was obsessed with the sport, played in the women's league in the late 1940s (AAGPBBL - same league as "A League of Their Own"). Actually got her interested in Deep Space Nine due to this episode. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
"In the blink of an eye" was one of my favorites from Voyager, not the biggest fan of Voyager, but I always liked that episode.
I loved the speed that their timeline was progressing-Also, in the period that looked like our 1950's, the younger scientist reminded me of Ross from "Friends"
Love the list, could have added enterprise: dear doctor which dealt with ethical problems with no prime directive
Yes, _Dear Doctor_ was an excellent, cerebral but suspenseful episode. It would have been a great Twilight Zone.
It's difficult for essentially a one-man-show to be highly rated, but it was unique, well-written, had a cool twist, and was very well played by John Billingsley (Dr. Phlox). That character gets a lot of criticism, but I liked Phlox -- inflatable head and gross toenails notwithstanding.
Agreed. Even without General Order 1, Captain Archer also realized that Starfleet hasn’t any right to play god.
Yesss!
Take me out to the holosuite isn't just my favourite DS9 episode, It's my favourite Star Trek episode.! I re-watch it often :P
You can see where In The Cards came from creatively. Early episodes had subplots about Jake & Nog getting in over their heads with childish mischief; bartering self-sealing stem-bolts and so forth. The writers probably missed those days when the characters became young adults. So they came up with a similar story giving them laudable motives for secrecy.
I also think it's dramatically in the perfect place in the season. It's basically a 'calm before the storm' episode, right before the plunge into the heavy Dominion war arc that would dominate the remaining two seasons. Wonderful episode that's both funny and human to the core. The final scene, cutting to each of the major characters, and the voice over with it, moves me every time I watch the episode.
Carbon Creek is the only Enterprise I watch repeatedly.
The Most Toys is also fantastic.
Real Life considered one of the best Holodeck episodes by many.
I don’t think any of these are under appreciated but good list, nonetheless
Glad to see The Most Toys here! Saul Rubinek is one of my favorite character actors, and he really nails his performance here.
I assume that means you saw Warehouse 13.
@@pauljackson3491 Actually , no! It is on my list, though. I loved his tiny few minutes on screen in the fantastic 1995 cable film Hiroshima, where he nearly steals the entire three hour run time in his portrayal of physicist Leo Szilard.
Take Me Out to the Holosuite is one of my top 5 DS9 episodes. "Death to the opposition!" It's such a great episode that gave us a break from the death and grit of the war.
Good compilation and explanation. I very whole heartedly agree with “Carbon Creek”. It was a good story and each of the characters had depth and added to the genuineness. It was a welcome opportunity to see the warmth of Vulcans. It would have made a great spinoff.
"Carbon Creak" is my favorite Enterprise episode!
Long Live STAR TREK!!!!!!!!! 🖖🏻👨🏻🦲
My wife and I have watched "Carbon Creek" an embarrassing number of times. It's our go-to for pure low-key TV comfort food.
@@illyth63 COOL! It's so good!
loved when the other Vulcan complained that a kid called him a 'Stooge'! 🤣🤣🤣
@@nancyomalley6286 I know, isn't STAR TREK awesome?
ST:TNG, Lower Decks. Using Patti Yasutake's (so cute) character Alyssa Ogawa as a bridge to the new characters was a stroke of pure genius, it shows why Picard was the greatest Captain in the Federation, and has a poignant ending, in my top 5 episodes of TNG
I think you missed one that is HUGELY underrated and Ive seen NO ONE mention it. The Visitor from Deep Space Nine. Tony Todds portrayal of a old Jake Sisko who realizes he has to "cut the cord" in order to get his father back is nothing short of heart wrenching.
Lighthearted, fun... Words that explain why there is no Discovery or Picard episode on this list.
Dis... What?
Discovery is a joke. It's so far removed from the ethos and quality of the rest of the Star Trek genre that it's not in the same universe.
Clues, In the Cards, and The Most Toys are among my favorite episodes.
I would say the Star Trek Voyager episode "Latent Image" where The Doctor discovers his memory has been tampered with to hide the fact that he allowed one crew member to die in order to save another and cannot handle the emotional pain of his decision. Picardo absolutely should've gotten Emmy nod for that one.
Our man Bashir DS 9 was also an underrated gem 💎
I came here to say the same thing.
One of my all-time favorites!
the struggling to not lose the main cast is unparalleled.
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE EPISODE! JULIAN IN HIS TUX IS JUST GORGEOUS!
I saw someone else mention the TNG episode “Family” in the comments, and I just want to second that really hard. Such a simple and poignant little episode about sibling relationships and just how hard it is to bounce back from trauma. Honestly though, I agreed with most of the list!
Stay well out there everybody, and God bless you friends. :)
I literally google this all the time and never find satisfying answers. I needed this video in my life, ty seán
I would say The Magnificent Ferengi and The House of Quark are also on my list. The scene in the latter where Quark is trying to explain the bad guy's financial machinations to the Klingon High Council -- who are totally confused while trying to follow what he's saying -- is hilarious.
note on similitude, it made me think back of the episode 'tuvix' from voyager, and the dilemna is at the core the same, and I can never settle back the acting done in that episode, a visceral plead for life and a decision to take as difficult. but anyway, Star Trek is filled with great episode and a second run of this list could definetly happen in the future ^^
"Treachery, Faith, and The Great River" is an amazing DS9 episode. A Plot: Odo reconciles with how renegade Weyoun views Odo. B plot: Low level O'Brien must suffer, but it miraculously works in his favour.
Carbon Creek was the 1st thing that came to mind when I saw this vid. Glad it was on the list. But I swear, at one time there was a shot of the Vulcan that stayed behind looking on from behind a tree when the others were rescued & explaining that he died in the crash. Last time I watched it, that scene wasn't in there. Did I imagine that? Or is it a Mandela effect?
Good question! It's been quite a while since I last saw it, and the scene you describe sounds familiar, but I may be remembering a similar scene from something else.
For me it's Family, the episode after Best of both worlds, we meet picards brother, sister in law and his nephew, seriously consider leaving starfleet and finally a small breakdown where he realises he isn't perfect but a human being after all. I love it :)
In my opinion, Deadlock is one of the best Voyager episodes!
See, and most of these were already among my favorite. Though, In the Pale Moonlight is still number one for me.
I have never said out loud YES... YES!!! ... Etc. so much to one of your reactions. This made my day.
There's 800+ hours of Star Trek (Or at the very least, 80+ "top ten" lists) and so many great 'I need this" episodes to brighten your day. Great work, Trek Culture. 💗
Speaking of In The Cards, another favorite of mine is Treachery, Faith and the Great River. Both essentially bottle episodes but so much intricate weaving in plot.
Number one could also be called "Deep Space 9: The Company Picnic". Those outings almost always include a baseball game.
Saul Rubinek is probably one of the most underrated character actors working today. It’s always a delight to see him show up in anything, whether it’s an episode of Star Trek, Stargate, For All Mankind, or even in a movie like Unforgiven. You know you’re guaranteed a good performance out of him.
But what makes his performance in Trek all the more impressive was he had zero prep time for the role, as he was cast midway through shooting the episode following some tragic circumstances surrounding the original actor.
I love his character in Frasier
I'm not sure if TNG's 'First Contact' from season 4 would fit the bill as underrated or not, but it's a terrific episode.
Take Me Out to the Holosuite is one of my favorite episodes of any Star Trek Series
one I really wished to be on this list is 'the andorian incident (enterprise s1e6). The many great plottwists is what makes enterprise season 1 overall the most underrated series of Star Trek
The truth is Star Trek in general are exceptionally well written shows with rock solid actors. Nearly every episode is just awesome
"Whispers" DS9
Everyone acting so creepily toward O'Brien, had his crew mates all been replaced while he was away?
This had me on the edge right until the end and the payoff was satisfying.
Very Twilight zone.
Funny thing is Max Grodenchek was by far the best ball player in the cast, he even played in the minors before he switched to acting full time. The producers had him throw left handed since he couldn’t fake being bad enough as a righty
Robert Picardo is a great actor not only on Voyager but also on stage. I got to see him in "Twelve Angry Men" he was the best. Afterwards, we got to meet him (my niece is the theatre manager) he totally enchanted my 93-year-old mother and kissed her on the cheek.
My three top trek episodes are “Inner Light,” “ real life,” and “the visitor.”
Great video! Needs a sequel at some point. There’s a lot of great trek episodes that are often forgotten and I need an excuse to go rewatch them!
Hey it's Sean again yay! Anyways the only Star treks I've watched all the way through are the next generation and voyager. Growing up in the 90s even though there was tng, ds9, and Voyager I actually preferred Voyager over DS9. And I'll keep hearing great things about Deep space nine really think I ought to finish the entire series on Netflix at some point. I think I'm only in season 2 of DS9 and season 2 of enterprise.
Hard Time is as of right now the best Star Trek universe episode ever. The affliction of PTSD is so realistic. My Dad has struggled with this. I see so many parallels between Meaney’s character and my Dad’s/ my life.
These are all episodes I rewatch over others frequently. They are all great and also all standalones you can watch without much context. Good list.
Incredible list! I still go back to Real Life every once in a while when I want a good cry... The young lady playing Belle ended up having her own TV & Movie career....
Great list!! I can’t even count how many times I’ve watched Data's Day and Clues and those deep space nine episodes are so moving I get a little tear 🤗🤗 great episodes
It's episodes like these that fill in the characters, give them breadth and depth, make them more real. Life itself is a mix of events both good, bad, and out in left field. Showing ensemble casts like this lets you see interactions between the characters in ways we otherwise would not. Even the episode "Carbon Creek" provided a new view on Vulcans, and T'Pol's family history that contributed to who she became.
Deadly list, dude! Ur best yet!
Saul Rubinek is always an amazing actor wherever he goes...
Brilliant list! There are so many gems that don't get their due, that you could make this a series of vids.
That one where terrorists are trying to steal warp engine byproducts and Picard has to go full Die Hard during the baryon sweep of the Enterprise D, and he's alone, pwning idiots with a crossbow? That's legit top 3 of TNG episodes for me and I never see people talk about it!
Yes! Great vid. These are the heart building episodes away from the major narrative.
I love Data's Day mostly because of Romulan Admiral Mendak. His voice is so calm, yet so threatening.
Nice selection, thanks! 🖖
The baseball episode when the opponent doesn't touch home plate.
Nog: W...what do I do?
Worf: Find him and kill him!
Always makes me laugh.
I was excited to see what your underrated list was going to be, I am disappointed because aside from the obvious ones, everything on your list are great episodes and I have always enjoyed them lol, never considered them to be underrated.
Thanks for mentioning Data's Day. It's one of my favorite TNG episodes.
Thankyou for mentioning the Sim episode of Enterprise
How about a top ten of the most underated alien races from Star Trek?
I bought Data's Day on VHS, back when TNG was sold on single-episode tapes.
Excellent choices. "Carbon Creek" and "Take me out...." are my two favorite ST episodes. I guess I'm just a "fish-out-of-water" guy.
Good list. I'd have put "In The Cards" on top.
'Cardassians' is a good underrated one purely for how much screen time Garek gets.
Garak is my all time favourite TV character, not just my favourite ST character. In the hands of less skilled writers and without Andrew Robinson's brilliant interpretation of the character, he could have easily been the one-dimensional baddie. Instead Robinson and the writers made him the most complex and sympathetic character on the show.
Good list, big agree. Do another one! (Add modern and classic Treks too, maybe?)
Great video. Some good choices. Inner Light will always hold a special place for me and the humour of Data's art appreciation opening stands in stark contrast to the darkness of the rest of it. I loved Identity Crisis as well. Real Life definitely choked me up.
These are such excellent selections; I agree with them all, much gold here!
"spirit folk" from Voyager is close to my heart.
I love the episode on “Voyager”: where the Doctor becomes an opera star on an alien planet. All glory is fleeting.
Agree with this list! Would've added Scientific Method & The Ship in there.
Got confused with episodes there, however The Ship is great for many reasons - and you really felt for Muniz, a bit part that was snuffed out.
"Scientific Method" - yeah, a fantastic _Voyager_ episode. It's fitting that Cronenberg would guest on _Discovery_ because there are a few Trek episodes that dive into paranoid, Cronenberg-ian horror. "Method" is one of them.
Great job Seán and Tom!
That always sounds really patronising but I honestly do mean it!
Always nice to chat with Seán too ❤
Rewatching "Deadlock" just now made me think of a good idea for a video.
Star Trek characters with the most deaths (including alternate realities/versions, time travel, etc)
Great video Sean. Thank you.
Awesome video, so many of these episode’s I also consider as underrated.
Just going to point out that Data didn’t lie about the blaster. “Perhaps something occurred during transport.” Deliciously vague.
That baseball episode is definitely one of my favorite of all time.
100% agree with you on Hard Time.
I would have loved to see how the episode “The Most Toys” would have played out if David rappaport hadn’t killed himself over the weekend break. Also, “In Real Life”… it makes me wonder if Robert picardo will do anything to work with Wendy Schaal since he was also her husband in an episode of Amazing Stories and were in Innerspace together.
Great list! I've often wondered if the baseball episode of DS9 helped influence the baseball episode in Samurai Champloo, which did influence the kickball episode of Boondocks, or is just too common a trope.
