Even Wonder woman’s “Kal-El, no!” Sounds better in the Snyder Cut. I don’t even know if it was a different take, but it didn’t sounds as awkward. Anybody else feel that way?
Yes! And I love that they actually gave an explanation earlier, it is explained that Batman's gauntlets have been modified to be able to absorb energy blasts (which is actually very clever considering they're going against opponents from other worlds) in fact, something I loved about Batman in this movie is that he doesn't fall in the "plot armor" category when it comes to his feats, they showed him as the most vulnerable member yet someone who can compensate it as a tactical genius with a lot of equipment.
I like how in snyder's version, Batman just stands there with no fear And he chooses not to do anything about it and just have faith that superman wont go through with it He would rather die than hurt his buddy again
Maybe Snyder is using higher contrast? So the separation between darker value and lighter value is more clearer? Whedon's visual is just noisy, too much details on the screen.
Gotta say though, As much as I hated Wheedons take... I like how at least gave Batman a backup plan... Batman got his ass beat and if it wasn’t for Lois, who happened to be strolling by, he would have been finished.
@@TheBoss-jc6le I believe that line is still in there. They did cut the lois/Martha thirsty line. Which is probably the worst joke in the Josstice league movie very cringe.
is it just me or did anyone else like the "you won't let me live, you won't let me die" dialogue as well... Snyder cut is better hands down but I just liked that dialogue for some reason.
It's admittedly a good line on its own but it unfortunately doesn't make sense in the context of the scene. Rather than have Superman lashing out because of confusion and instinct, that line (as well as the rest of the dialogue between Superman and Batman) makes the Kryptonian seem malicious and petty. I do get what you're saying, though, but we never should have seen that line delivered because the original scene that has Superman silent until he reunites with Lois and acclimated at the farm just makes so much more sense.
Funny thing is, WB is pandering to bloggers who cried about "DCEU Superman is evil!" While Supes looked more threatening in Snyder cut, he still looked as a confused & alert person, not an evil or villaneous character. In Whedon cut, with all that dialogue & weird CGI mouth, Superman looked more evil & like a villain.
As a viewer I felt like Batman also thought he was about to get ripped in half with the Snyder version lol even though I knew it wasn’t gonni happen it still gave me chills
exactly. and it's not only about bats' fear. it's a colour issue as well. Whedon makes image looks warm and cozy which has a fireplace calming effect, while Zack's using cold "thunder" colours which tends to keep humans uncomfortable and creates additional tension.
@@iiADIDASx yep, Zack knows his shit) btw, about dialogues - didn't you notice sometimes they and offscreen text seem too straightforward, alien and unnecessary? It's not typical for Snyder, BvS lines were clean and native, for example. I suspect producers still made some correctives to verbal storytelling part.
@@Geral454 That's right. In original version, it's explained why Lois could be there at that point in time. Because it was her habit to go to that place every morning ("You never miss a day, do you Ms. Lane?") to remember Superman after he died. It feels like Lois was being treated as a person/human in the original story, rather than an object. In Whedon's cut, she's just an object/tool to jog Superman's memory. No humanity or personality aspect in her character.
Batman in Zack Snyder's cut just stares at Superman completly petrified. Literaly trembling. As if he realized he had just unleashed everything he feared upon the world and he wouldn't be there to stop it. In Whedon's version he looks completly indiferrent lmao
More like Batman realized that if Superman's memory is lagging, he likely sees Batman as someone who tried to kill him. And seeing a virtually indestructible Superman bearing down on you...is enough to active the Batsuit Depends Mode!
I wouldn’t say he was petrified, but considering what he saw in BvS, definitely not something he’s be calm about. Especially if he just went through the JL like nothing. Plus he came there not wanting to fight so he wasn’t sure if Superman was gonna kill him.
I actually liked the “You won’t let me live. You won’t let me die” and “Tell me, do you bleed” lines the first time I watched it but after watching again it felt very out of place. Superman isn’t petty, he isn’t purposefully malicious. He’s confused and doesn’t know who or what he is. That’s why he was attacking Diana too who had nothing to do with his death. He just knows he was attacked and is reacting reflexively.
I loved that dialogue too and I was very disappointed when it didn't make it in the Snyder cut. Like that was the tip of the turn off for me. Imo in the original it's not really out of context? It seems to me that Superman does remember but he's just angry as if someone had been woken up from a long comfy nap, that's why he said "you wouldn't let me die" he was comfy in that state of death. And being woken up ofc angered him.
Seriously. Though the theatrical JL is laughably bad in comparison, there are still small things in it that I'm actually not afraid to admit I liked. People are in that phase where they think it's cool to hate on every single part of a movie. It's not justification, simply preference.
@@Beforezzz yeah me too. I personally liked the truth lasso part between Arthur and Diana, the Wonderbat scene, and some of Barry and Superman’s whedon lines (most specifically the “Did he just bail?” line when Cyborg just gtfo’d), but I do agree this version is better in most aspects.
Wonder Woman moanings weren't bad, you have Clark doing it too, also that thing happens too in Man of Steel when Clark is fighting Faora, a lot of pain and strenght moanings
@@rayhr1 It's more about stuff like Flash landing on top of Wonder Woman when Gal didn't want to do the scene, so they brought in a stunt double instead of just NOT shooting the scene.
Batman wasnt fearing for his life like some genious fellows say He was trying hard to yell clark through which he could bring superman back to his senses... kinda like jl war where superman turns evil in apokolips and batman yells similar things
Snydercut actually makes more sense... after that scene it shows how sup slowly regain his memories.... also lois sending superman away to fight in 2017 version doesn't makes any sense.
The main difference between two cuts is exposition. Snyder shows that some part of Clark remembered Batman and he's angry without any lines. Whedon though gives us a dumb exposition, even though Clark isn't supposed to be in the right state of mind to give one liners.
Whedon's version is even more dumb than that: If Supes remembers Batman enough to deliver "Do you bleed?", he would remember Wonder Woman and how he WILLINGLY helped Diana and Bruce against Doomsday at the cost of his own life. He makes it sound like Batman murdered him on his own. Snyder's version works because he doesn't talk and doesn't remember ANY of them except Lois.
@@ultimamage3 Well, Batman did almost kill him with a kryptonite spear so that's a good enough reason for Superman to be angry with him and to repeat the "Do you bleed" line.
@@loudboy317 Did you not see or read what buddy said before you.....Superman and Batman were on good terms after there fight, and battled Doomsday together....it’s completely stupid to bring him back and out of the blue hating Batman an saying “I know you, you won’t let me live, you won’t let me die, bla bla do you bleed” it was cringey and out of place. In Snyder’s version it’s a lot better, because he seen EVERYONE as a threat, because of Cyborg attacking him and the rest trying to restrain him. The only good thing about this scene from the wheedon version is when Batman says “Alfred I need the big guns” and Lois comes. It’s the equivalent of him having the gauntlets ready to deal with Superman’s heat vision. I just like seeing Batman prepared always, it’s what makes him Batman ya know. Other than that one part tho, every other part of this scene with supes being revived was better in the snydercut. Please WB #restorethesnyderverse
I've always thought that scene was trying to convey Batman making the most desperate gamble to stop steppenwolf, at this point he was reliant on faith and hope only in reviving superman, praying that when he wakes up hes the same superman he met long ago, when it turns out he's lost his memory and attacking everyone via instinct and scrambled memory he can't do anything but call his name, Hoping that it would trigger a memory, something to wake Clark up, he's all out of options, he took a gamble and this was the result "Clark No..." When Lois showed up I bet Batman was relieved af. The movie kept up the faith thing when Batman talked with Alfred "How are you so sure he'll be here" "Faith Alfred! Faith!"
The Snyder Cut definitely made both look even more badass. Superman was silent, chilling and angry. And considering he was dead, ofcourse he should be. While Batman, doesn't react much at all, and even looked more calmer and hopeful in trying to convince him. And he blocked the lasers for god's sake. That alone makes it even better.
After watching 2017 JL I couldn't believe it's the same josh who directed avengers 1 and 2 just look at avengers 1 it really had a good character development and in JL He literally removed cyborg's past
Batman is so dump in Josstice League, he waits that Superman strangle him to send Lois Lane. I was like "Wtf why did you send Lois now if you thought Superman will not be happy !?". Fortunately, Snyder decided that nobody that no one would have believed that Superman would want to fight the JL(if Cyborg wasn't controlled by the Mother Boxes, this wouldn't happened, and it's only in the Snyder Cut I understood why Cyborg had shot without doing it on purpose.
There were many scenes that was removed in JL2017 and this scene too when Batman uses his gauntlet to protect himself from heat vision which is very amazing. Mm! Joss whedon did that intentionally
I never got the sense that Batman was petrified for his life in this scene, but distraught that Superman wasn't himself. That 'Clark no' wasn't out of fear, it was out of desperate sadness.
Exactly. The Snyder Cut version of Batman is not afraid of death; he expects it. But he doesn't want Clark to make a mistake he will regret, to turn into something so different from the man who sacrificed himself for the world.
@mcm It's pretty cringe ngl. I understand the sentiment but it was introduced in the same movie so it didn't feel like it had enough development. The 'Proof Tony Stark Has A Heart' arc reactor on the other hand, made me cry like a bitch.

He also had Energy Absorbing Gauntlets based off Alien tech, and used Parademon weapons around him, when needed.
I really liked the fact that batman used gauntlets similar to Wonder Women in the Snyder cut I hope he brings them back if there is gonna be a sequel. Also, it seems that in this version Bruce was inspired by Diana's gauntlets... maybe later on Snyder might ship them together, kinda like the comics.
Yeah well clearly it was inspired by Diana's gauntlet . Remember the scene : " I'm working on these new gauntlet which can absorb energy ... It was master Wayne's idea " " Maybe you should work on a lasso too , of course, in black "
It really made no sense on how if Superman’s mind wasn’t restored that he would just talk saying to Batman that he knows him and becomes more vengeful than a wild clueless animal. Goddamn Whedon.
It’s also great to see the comparison on the shade of the bat suit. In zacks version you can see that the suit is still black and grey, so it’s like a spare version of the bvs suit with a different cowl. Whedon however has a navy suit which could work but doesn’t because the whole suit is that colour, not just the cape and cowl etc. If it remained a defined grey and a blue then it would have looked a lot better
I honestly like how much badass they make both Batman and Superman here. Superman went instantly for the kill with his laser vision while Batman wasn’t just thrown away, I mean sure it was still easy but I mean I still think the fact that he survived a laser blast that could instantly kill anyone with a gauntlet made from his tech is still badass
I still would have preferred to se a mixture of both scenes, I love when Supeman grabs Batman and lifts him up in the air and says to hem the very sweet like, "Tell me do you bleed?" That's actualy a better parallel than just having Bats stare a Sups in the air!
Also notice that the 4:3 aspect ratio does not cut the sides. Instead it extends the top and the bottom.

Maybe Snyder is using higher contrast? So the separation between darker value and lighter value is more clearer? Whedon's visual is just noisy, too much details on the screen.
@@paperclip9558 it's better lighting better everything lol, whedon even changed buildings
Whedon's visual are like first Avengers movies, he tried to make DC like Marvel and we know for sure that doesn't work....
Gotta say though, As much as I hated Wheedons take... I like how at least gave Batman a backup plan... Batman got his ass beat and if it wasn’t for Lois, who happened to be strolling by, he would have been finished.
Cause Whedon never developed a proper filming style for movies, he is used to film for tv series.
I love how Bruce doesn’t even get a chance to react to getting thrown
I just hope Zack gets the opportunity to finish what he started. It would be a shame if WB doesn't go ahead with the synderverse.
Whedon is really proving himself to be kinda a creeper. He added a way more implied sex innuendo for Wonder woman, supposedly for the sake of humor.

Batman being slapped away by Superman is unintentionally hilarious
is it just me or did anyone else like the "you won't let me live, you won't let me die" dialogue as well...
*Synder Cut:* Superman shoots Batman with heat vision, making him more scary and threatening.
*Whedon's Version:* _I LIKE YA CUT G!_ (slaps)
Do you mean Superman shoots Batman with heat vision?
Superman shoots Superman LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funny thing is, WB is pandering to bloggers who cried about "DCEU Superman is evil!"
While Supes looked more threatening in Snyder cut, he still looked as a confused & alert person, not an evil or villaneous character.
In Whedon cut, with all that dialogue & weird CGI mouth, Superman looked more evil & like a villain.
@@liljan2011 Sorry. It's just the typo error that I haven't checked until now.

exactly. and it's not only about bats' fear. it's a colour issue as well. Whedon makes image looks warm and cozy which has a fireplace calming effect, while Zack's using cold "thunder" colours which tends to keep humans uncomfortable and creates additional tension.

I like how Lois saved Clark from Bruce in BVS and then comes full circle saving Bruce from Clark
And, beside that, Lois was in place for a logic and well established reason. In Josstice, she was a deus ex by Batman.
She is reporter always want exclusive content 😆
Batman in Zack Snyder's cut just stares at Superman completly petrified. Literaly trembling. As if he realized he had just unleashed everything he feared upon the world and he wouldn't be there to stop it.
In Whedon's version he looks completly indiferrent lmao
More like Batman realized that if Superman's memory is lagging, he likely sees Batman as someone who tried to kill him. And seeing a virtually indestructible Superman bearing down on you...is enough to active the Batsuit Depends Mode!
@@victorpradha9946 Absolutely.
I wouldn’t say he was petrified, but considering what he saw in BvS, definitely not something he’s be calm about.
Especially if he just went through the JL like nothing. Plus he came there not wanting to fight so he wasn’t sure if Superman was gonna kill him.
Although we can agree whedon’s version was horrible and made Batman completely useless and crap. Actually all the characters he ruined.
Bruh Batman ain't afraid of him if he beated Superman up once he can do it again if he has he's green gas thing

Snydercut actually makes more sense... after that scene it shows how sup slowly regain his memories.... also lois sending superman away to fight in 2017 version doesn't makes any sense.
Snyder: "Ma...there is a reason why they brought me back"
Whedon: "try not to die this time"
WTF, is this the same guy who wrote The Avengers!?
@@Jose-se9pu Actually, yes. Whedon DID in fact direct the Avengers.

Other than that one part tho, every other part of this scene with supes being revived was better in the snydercut. Please WB #restorethesnyderverse
I've always thought that scene was trying to convey Batman making the most desperate gamble to stop steppenwolf, at this point he was reliant on faith and hope only in reviving superman, praying that when he wakes up hes the same superman he met long ago, when it turns out he's lost his memory and attacking everyone via instinct and scrambled memory he can't do anything but call his name, Hoping that it would trigger a memory, something to wake Clark up, he's all out of options, he took a gamble and this was the result
"Clark No..."
When Lois showed up I bet Batman was relieved af. The movie kept up the faith thing when Batman talked with Alfred
"How are you so sure he'll be here"
"Faith Alfred! Faith!"
So glad we finally got to see the real Justice League film

In zacks version you can see that the suit is still black and grey, so it’s like a spare version of the bvs suit with a different cowl.
