Artificer is unique as a half caster as the spell progression rounds up, not down, so a one level dip doesn't slow level progression until that second level
I’ve actually seen a build where someone put CON low and dumped STR as an Armorer Artificer, and by the time they hit the higher levels, they got bumped to a 19 and 21 respectively with infusions, and then added Wizard levels as icing on the cake. I don’t know why, but this build reminded me of that a little bit. Love them both! 😁
Great video, but I have a slight nitpick. Contingency can only store spells of up to 5th level, so that doesn't work with Globe of Invulnerability. Secondly, Globe of Invulnerability only stops incoming spells, it doesn't stop anything from physically passing through it. I think Resilient Sphere accomplishes that pretty well as a defensive option still, mostly to let you heal or buff yourself before getting back into the fight.
Fun build! Thanks for sharing! The idea was amazing, but as you said the wizard spell list is kind of same-y in every wizard if the player wants to be effective. However, you managed to make it fun!
The problem is there are so many spells that blow so many others out of the water (Con saves are the best way to tell). I like Abjuration, Illusion and Enchantment since they give you reason to break out of the "standard Wizard spellbook"
>TTB article Yup, this is an actually strong build It's very important to remember how warmage has an initiative bonus. Very nice to open with shutdown. Chronurgy amd fey touched are good for the same reason(gift of alacrity)
