I think temperature of the room means. Emapathy the ability it feel other peoples emotions and to guage the emotional energy around you. Ever walked into a room and instantly felt something is wrong or you shouldn't be there? Ever look at someone or just near someone and you just get really bad vibes that's wisdom.

Ok so what if a person or a pregnate creature actually occupies the same space as a beholder is comming into exsistents? Gestalt and mutation?? Wizard experimentation?? I need to find a way to make it make sense. Can you create a story or background? A beholder hit with a shape change spell, a curse from another beholderI want something that makes it work.

One of the weird character concepts I came up with is a mutant mind flayer. Obviously an aberrant mind sorcerer, but you not only got your power from an encounter with mind flayers, you're a full fletched one yourself. You underwent the ceremorphosis and look like any other mind flayer. Only, you work different. Be it due to some Freak whim of nature, or maybe you ate something weird as a tadpole, like a flumph, but whatever the reason, you don't have to consume the brains of sentient beings to stay healthy, instead you can live off of the radiant thoughts of beings around you.

Ok so my question is why would a beholder be a wizard or warlock. They have the eyes with different effects isn't that kind of over kill. I want my beholder to be a runner away from his brother's beholder with different eye powers from the norm. Maybe mines will be mongrelman mixed some kind of way. I heared of a creature that was accidently magically blasted and a human and demon were gestalted, crazy strong monster. I want to do something simular. Detected or saut after to by a great mother for being different. In spell jammer on the run on a ship or a circus as a freak but excepted by the other performers

I'm a bit late to the party but going Custom Lineage instead of V.Human would get you a 17 intelligence and Darkvision (at the cost of a skill). Then use Custom background picking up the Wildspacer feature. Now you have Tough at level 1 in addition to Eldritch Adept so you can pick up Fey Touched as your first ASI/Feat bumping intelligence to 18 at level 6.

You could reflavor the tentacle of the deep as a eyestalk

I would bet, that a DM would let you do a sorcerer who has swapped charisma for intelligence as a stat mechanic. Generally charisma is a stronger stat to have (saves, checks, etc.) than intelligence. If you asked a DM to mechanic-swap (for flavor) a strong stat like charisma, for intelligence, I bet they would. Then you could dump-stat charisma, strength, and wisdom (which would be more appropriate). And uh... I think disguise self for any required unavoidable social situations. Or just wear an obvious mask, like a decorative one. It blocks your one big eye, but your eye stalks hiding in your hair can still peek all around. Love the concept!

I actually made the inverse of this build. I made a Genie Warlock 17/Peace Cleric 3 haha. She is an air genasi Djinni genie that focuses on forced movement flavored as air bending basically. This is a nice spin on it! I prefer more levels in Genie Warlock though, but to fit your theme it is a fun choice!

Awesome build! Adjusted a bit by dropping Warlock to 1 level and taking 2 in Fighter, I think that action surging to get into my bottle faster will be more useful than an extra d4. Along with a quick Metamagic Adept for Quickened Spell, I think by level 20 I can do this setup in 1 turn. My rabbit's not standing there like a fool for 3 turns, we've got places to be!

Tasha's mentions that changing a character's creature type doesn't really amount to much aside from how certain spells and effects affect them. Letting a Custom Lineage set their creature type to Aberration would be fine.

I feel like if you get DM fiat to let the Sorc spells be used with Int you could leave Cha at 13 get a more functional Dex and take just utility from Warlock. Not taking EB is probably heresy but going into a more control oriented build is nice depending on the party and you can grab another cantrip for utility in Warlock. Then you get more options for Invocations. Possibly take the Skill instead of Darkvision and take Devil Sight and Eldritch Mind. Definitely some options for this style of character.

correction about devils sight its not just better dark vision unlike darkvision you can see normaly as in you can see everything color and all so id take devils sight personally because honestly with eldritch sight just knowing something is magical is not enough detail because just because an object is magical that doesn't mean its magical in a good way if eldritch sight doubled up to identify what they are id say it was worth it, but it doesn't. additionally eldritch sight isn't a passively active skill like devils sight is. flavor wise beholders are extreamly paranoid so being able to see at all times would be crucial in their paranoid minds.

I'm not sure you couldn't use favored foe while raging. Raging prohibition is strictly preventing magic but, favored foe just says that it uses the concentration mechanic of spellcasting. Not that it's actually magic. Interesting conversation to have with your DM I suppose.

If you go for Devil's Sight, I recommend taking the extra skill, since Devil's Sight completely overwrites 60 ft. darkvision.

Honestly, I have no idea why this isn't as viewed as your Beholder one - except that maybe the al-gore-whatzit is bein' a pain. Excellent work again, my GM is still reeling from my Beholder.

I never got to the build. I found the chicken walking and lack of clear communication to be a bit aggravating. Five minutes in and I still have no idea what the first level of the build is. Also, an hour long video is kind of at odds with the name of the channel. I'm gonna go pick another video of yours at random and watch it. Maybe this video was the outlier.
