Real video link quality is the one without OSD, it is directly recorded from the receiver.
On Screen Display is overlaid over it on a 1366x768 laptop screen, then re-encoded with screenrecorder, which distorts quality.
I have a modded Lidl glider, I added dowels and Sevro connectors so the wings are detachable, when it crashes the dowels just break, and it is quite durable. The foam would make it nice and buoyant, though I think you need to waterproof the electronics, looks like a long row out to it if it goes in the drink!
I,follow your channel and I see the grey overlaps dissapeared in the recent videos. Did you change some settings or newer fw handles different way and this is why no distorted frames? Thx!
If you mean lost frames and sudden distorted image, these are mainly because I fly low or behind some obstacle. In this video I do not see the ships from my location, they are "below the ground level". And when I get too low, I lose signal.
That's so cool! I thought lidl glider was not capable of carrying this FPV hardware. Do you mind sharing more details of your build?
I only fly FPV. It’s crazy to me you guys video for seconds at a time but I guess since it’s cruising it’s no biggie

No idea, I use qOpenHD for OSD.

Only recorded on the ground, that is why it has glitches when radio link is lost. The one with OSD is taken from a 1366x768 screen, while the vidoe transmitted from the cam is FullHD. Updated description

@@unixoid33 No, I'm simply diving below the ground horizon for a better view :) I could see only the last ship from the position where I was.

Only about 20% OpenHD 😀 .... I use only QopenHD, which is the tool to display OSD over the video. On the air unit I run Open IPC operating system with wfb-ng installed. On the ground I run linux with wfb-ng.

Search for a $3 AR9271 on AE. The small one in white plastics
@@tipoman9317 that's what you use both in air and ground? do you have a seperate radio for control? if not isn't there interface between your radio and video since both are on 2.4ghz?
