As a victim of a very severe gay bashing in the 80's i'm so glad to see how society has come so far that guys like Chris can be themselves without fear.

Michael Oliveri i totally agree with you. i just turned 68 and i could never have been this open when i was younger. in my private life i was out but with the exception of a few coworkers, i was very much closeted at work.
they were able to display pictures of their families, talk about their husbands, wives boyfriends, girlfriends and were able to have them join them for lunch. i wasn’t able to do so out of fear of ridicule and/or losing my job.
it’s such a great feeling to know that after 50+ years of fighting for the rights of the LGBTQ community, younger men and women can be so open about who they are.
i would have never been able to walk up to total strangers and ask them if i was gay. i don’t think i could do it even at 68.
kudos to all the guys who responded in such a positive way with no judgment or bigotry with the exception of possibly the guy who ran into the ocean when you asked him about gay marriage.
I would feel so awkward, nervous and terrified to do that! You got some balls haha!
Yeah it's awkward at first but the more you put yourself out there, the easier it gets. I myself suffer from terrible anxiety and I'd like to be more confident to do those things. But I feel like most people will find it odd why you would approach them lmao😭💀

The older guy “in the middle” at 2:44, probably doesn’t realize that most retirement benefits, health care benefits, etc only pass to a spouse or domestic partner upon death. If you deny a person the right to either of those options, you are also taking away their right to transfer a lifetime of working benefits to a surviving partner. It’s a big deal and a really big deal upon retirement.
About 👆 I’m still basically just figuring that out about benefits you can confer on your spouse.
But same sex marriage isn’t in question again, is it? I thought that got worked out … forever ago, didn’t it?
I think you are a genuine guy Chris. You would be a good partner for someone, if you don't already have a partner. Having said that, it's important to be comfortable with yourself. Don't ever be a people pleaser. I have made that mistake in the past. A relationship needs to be a healthy one. Take care from Carl in New Zealand.

This is so sweet. It reminds me of being at the beach with my first love that I was with and he wasn't as open towards strangers and this was before all the fancier phones. I just went up to some random lady and asked if she would take some pics of us. She was shocked when I went in for a kiss with him but she was so sweet and said we were so cute together. I don't think I could go up to some bros and ever randomly ask them those things. You're so brave Chris.

That guy from 2:55 was so relaxed about the whole thing - like the previous commenter, I'm a 65-year-old gay man and there were so many problems when I was coming out in my teens - not from my friends but from other guys at school etc, it was a difficult time (this is the early '70s so things were not very progressive back then.....in Australia there were a lot of gay bashings and killings, especially in Sydney. Just horrific stuff.
Things have changed a lot here too

Hey, first let me say thank you for your videos, YOU ARE RIGHT, they are very entertaining. I can imagine that making these videos is awkward, but also scary as you can easily run into violent close-minded people who may try to hurt you. In a deeper evaluation, you find a very small percentage of intolerant and an overwhelming number of people who are sympathetic, caring, just, and fair-minded in their answers. It could easily be stated that these videos could be healing, and provide confidence that as a society we are going in a positive direction. Again, thanks for your work and for sharing it with all of us!!!

It is a reasonable answer. He understands both sides of the argument and he hasn't fully made up his mind yet. For many older people it requires a major change in mindset. No big deal.
Mine never came back and after I stopped wearing contacts I never had another eye infection.
