She is unquestionably a brilliant orator, like a first-class politician, held that room in a trance, as she did the viewer.

Future scholars will consider this as a classic piece that would be a regular reading subject to analysis, case studies... the way this speech was constructed was insane! How the narratives of such big issues stitched into a 9 minute speech is a masterclass. And that delivery by Oprah? Beyond!!!!

Absolutely agreed to the uttermost...In fact, I had to look back after the video had ended, and I had spotted your comment, to see for myself that I had only sit through a mere nine minutes of words that were filled with a lifetime of unwavering, profound wisdom and boldness. This is by far, hands down, one of THE most powerful, impactful, inspiring and moving speeches I've ever had the pleasure of sitting through and hearing.

Yes, and even in knowing she had every right and opportunity to set that as the tone of the speech, but she chose to portray unity and support for one another in one of the most awe inspiring ways I have ever witnessed. We need so desperately for more like her, and Taraji, and Viola to be given the chance to step forward and be presented with the respect and recognition to use the power of their voice, their words, their stories to have a light cast onto all that's been hidden, and is still being and put away into the dark to pretend as if there isn't many, many issues that need to be addressed and taken care of concerning TRUE equality amongst ALL PEOPLE, but especially for the minorities.

Another great legend is seated in the audience who spent her entire life fighting and advocating for civil rights--Miss Barbra Streisand.
Barbra is the real legend; she even got a dance tune with her name in it....
Nothing but love, respect and admiration for this woman.

Thank you Oprah! You are truly legendary! I was a victim of bullying for many years! The feeling of being scared and spoken to disrespectfully was detrimental to my self esteem. I stood up! I am proud to be apart of the movement! It is a work in progress to gain one's confidence back. We need to forward this message on to our generations to come, so that they do not follow in the footsteps of their old school fathers.

Oprah might have been the only person in that room with enough power and enough "Hollywood clout" to give that speech. In other words, it needed to be said, it needed to come from her, and they gave her the pedestal to speak. Was no accidental coincidence.
