    Very well executed, and explained !! You didn't have to waste your time to show dummies like me how to change out this alternator. But, I am so glad you did. Thank you for your time and hard work. 👍👍

    This video saved me some time and cash. Thanks alot. When i did mine the engine mount doesn’t have to come out. Idk how to upload a photo to this comment but I pulled mines out with the alternator pulley facing the front of the car and twist the flexible fuel line so it’s as close to the firewall as possible and it slides right out.

    BRO. Thank you! Such an easy guide. Got my 2018 with 2 12 JLs in the back waiting for me to replace the 150 amp stock to a 240+ amp alternator so my headlights stop dimming at high volume. I have yet to finalize which one to buy but at least now I know where to look for when I do purchase and am ready to install.
    God bless and thank you brotha!

      You're very welcome you might want to also get a dry cell battery in the trunk as well as a capacitor that will also help the drain on your headlights🙏🏾🙏🏾

      @@roadstoriches5611 fasho thanks for the rec I was looking at capacitors as well as a solution. Im only running 1,000 watt system so will see where the alternator takes me as battery setup with capacitor would set me back about twice the price of just boosting the alternator. In your opinion which is more important if you had to choose one?

    • @ryancordes5512
      @ryancordes5512 2 года назад +1

      And keep in mind im not competition minded and only looking for the power while engine running. Most things I have read point me to either capacitor or the alternator but wanted to get your take. Will be double checking my battery which is original. Its 2018 model so battery could be from 2017 so nearly at end of life. Will be checking and possibly upgrading once it bites the dust for higher capacity. Will also be checking for corrosion at connections as system is over 1 year old now. We gucci on the gauge of wire they some phatties. Just need to address that light dim with the performance drop at high volume while running.

    Right on bro. I have a 2014 2.5l Mali. Gonna be changing the alternator in it. Same engine as that impala there. Got the new alternator from eBay off an impala with 7 miles on it. Probably gonna attempt the removal and installing tonight if I get off work in time. UPS is crazy with Christmas right now.

      Make sure to take a picture of it before you take it off and you can also Google the diagram to see the pattern and to make it a little easier you can also rent a belt removal tool from Advance Auto Parts.
