However, the Congress continues to maintain that the centre has not been transparent.

Agniveer is just a money saving program by govt nothing else
family has received an insurance amount of Rs 48 lakh while the public sector bank, in which the Agniveer had an account, has paid another Rs 50 lakh as per its current policy for all soldiers who hold a salary account with the bank.
ex-gratia payment of Rs 44 lakh and Rs 8 lakh due from the Army welfare fund have not been paid so far. In addition, another Rs 13 lakh as the deceased Agniveer’s balance of pay till completion of his contact and the contributory Seva Nidhi fund of Rs 2.3 lakh are to be paid by the army.
Official claims that a crore of rupees was paid by the government to the Agniveer’s family are misleading. Even though the family has received approximately one crore, it is almost entirely from the dead (temporary) soldier’s insurance cover.
But insurance money also comes from premiums paid by govt. How is it different?

The deceased agniveer didn't have to pay any premium of that life insurance...50+48 lakh ....both beared by the govt....
@@factteller5471 there is no premium for 50 lakh. There exists agreement between government and bank so that soldier having account in that particular bank gets that 50 lakh. Various State governments also have same type of arrangements with banks for their police forces.
@@rajx7120 Rs. 48 lakh was part of the insurance that he was entitled to and not a “compensation". There is difference between compensation by government and insurance money
What is wrong if money came from insurance, and not from govt? Insurance premium is also paid by govt only. Only when govt paid premiums for large number of Agniveers, the company was able to pay compensation for the martyred one.
We should instead, try to reduce the casualties of Agniveers, by spending on better equipment. Saving the life is more important than paying more money. Money will not make person alive.

Payment date would become a big question if Congress' mish-mash govt were in charge just like their now Rs 370,000 crore worth oil bonds in total which we the tax payers are now repaying for their populist upfront subsidies.
Our Army should be excellent compared to our neighbours with excellent training for a particular requirement of minimum period and not just contracting..... Whilr selecting the 50 people, can't you select the talented people through tough process of the selection process..... Lot's of commedy is seen in the fast few years...... You can shape anyone but a new procedure should come out of the drawbacks and the support of everyone...... Now everything come as to the individual decision of very few people

Why the controversy of the payment araises? Why the father is much worried to receive the payment, why these people keep everything in the darkness? What's the responsibility of the top authorised organisation sitting in Delhi comprising all the three defence wings? After the complaint of the opposition leader, you bring in all the details?

Politically biased Pro Congress vs Progressive and forward thinking Army .. look at body language and attitude .. one is aggressive ..my way or only my way is correct ... another one is cool calm and forwarding thinking who has trust on current Army .. I don;t have much comments on Rahul Ghandhi defenders who think they are only people who born as defense experts others who running Army doesn;t know anything .. technically their mental ability blocked due to politics and ego ... you cann;t satisfy everyone for everything .. if you cann;t trust your own Army and their trained people then this big question mark on your own training and mental ability ... wasting time to listen people like Vishambhar Dyal who seems to have hatred against some specific political parties ..

Sirs, was the Defence Selection committee not effective for the past 70 years? Why Agniveer all of a sudden? Was there any intellectual committee by all the people of all walks of life, the opposition parties, the veteran defence officers? Was the concurrence made after a concrete meeting with innovative decisions? Lot's of confusion is seen from 2014 which starts from Rafale procurement wherein then the Defence Minister Parikar was not involved in Paris meeting..... Then what's is the importance of Defence ministry? Only the business men attending the French delegation there.... It goes on....... Some documents are lost or no where seen till now and the then Honorable Judge couldn't give any proper verdict....... All the issues are kept inside the pot but the cat will come out and get exposed in the near future......... The opposition leader puts everything on the table of the parliament.......

If Agniveer is bad and what is the need for NCC in schools and Colleges ? I am a combat soldiers and I got just 3 lakh rupees as retirement benefits at the time of my retirement. My pension was Rs 1600/- per month during 2001. Now Agniveers are getting lakhs/crores of rupees for a short time service of just 4 years. So this is one kind of job opportunity with financial benefits for serving the nation.
