I just started Carnivore 3 days ago, I had a quadruple bypass in 2022, was also diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and have had an open wound from a diabetic ulcer on my foot for 2 years which is causing constant pain, I am sick, and tired of being sick and tired so I am doing this carnivore diet. I am praying for success and relief from this way of eating. I am from Olds, so I know where Vulcan is.

This is for the person who asked what to do for leg cramps. I had the same problem and lucky for me. I watched the video with Dr. Barry and Dr. Brownstein. I now take 1 - 3 teaspoons of Redmonds salt a day and no more leg cramps. At first, before I started with the 1 - 3 teaspoons of salt a day, I would put a pinch of salt on my tongue just before I laid down to go to sleep and it worked. Salt has been a game changer for me and I encourage you to watch the videos of Dr. Brownstein on salt and iodine. For me, it made carnivore click in the best of ways. I wish you much success. I’m smiling because I know that if you do this, you will be amazed!❤
I make a drink in the morning, a couple of hours after I’m up, and I call it a buttercup. I add 1.5 - 2T of butter, grass fed, 1 tsp Redmonds salt, and 16 - 20 drops of J. Crow’s Lugol’s 2% iodine to 12 oz water(I use spring water but any will do). I add the butter to 8 ounces of the water and I nuke it for two minutes. I take it out of the microwave and I add the salt. Then I add four or more ounces of the springwater and stir. This makes it a perfect temperature to drink, and that is when I add the iodine. I can’t tell you why, but this drink soothes my nerves and gives me an energy boost. When I find myself with low energy during the day, I add 1 teaspoon of the salt to 8 ounces of cold water, stir, and drink. My energy returns within 20 minutes or so.

I love sweets and I think going carnivore is better than keto for people who are addicted to sugar. My first 30 days I was shocked that my cravings for sweets went away. The second month in I had sugar at a birthday party just a small piece of sheet cake and within and hour of eating that I was craving sweets. So I know cutting all carbs was best for me and easier. I’ve never stuck to a diet because I would eat sweets But carnivore works I feel better then I’ve felt in years I love my new life ! Carnivore for three months❤

I agree totally. The carnivore diet gives me no wriggle room at all. Keto has a lot of sweeter options. I start Keto and slowly find myself increasing the sweeter foods and carbs. I usually end up going off diet quite quickly. I Have been on carnivore for 85 days and I have had almost no sugar cravings at all.

Edit: As of now I am down more than 45 pounds since I had surgery 10 weeks ago. I started first getting rid of sugar and grains, then keto convenience foods, then eating mostly meat and fat. I am also fasting various periods.

51 days strict carnivore here. Everything has improved i can't even begin to describe it all. 35 yo male started at 243 lb. It's about time to go buy a new wardrobe for me. I lost 22 lb in the first month and always feel great. Next weigh in day is in 9 days. Bp now normal. Was able to give up coffee, used to drink 8 or so cups per day, very addicted, now i can take it or leave it. I'm getting in shape without even really exercising. I'm assuming in 6 months or maybe less I'll be at whatever my normal weight is supposed to be. I wouldn't know because i was fat ever since i was 14. I'm excited, i love it. If you're on the fence read dr ken berrys book lies my dr told me. I listened to it on audible and something just clicked!

      @jobrown8146 3 месяца назад

@@katie7748 I found it hard when I lost weight (I went low carb to remit diabetes and the weight loss was unexpected but a wonderful bonus).
I had some clothes that I had hardly worn that I liked that were a little bit small for me and they ended up being too large for me! It was bitter sweet but the benefits outweighed the negatives.
Thankfully I have been able to resize or convert some of my tops to fit. I had some chiffon blouses which I have managed to make into sleeveless vest-like tops to wear over long sleeved t-shirts.
Not long before I went low carb I had bought new underpants and it wasn't long before I had to bin those and get new ones because they were falling off me.
The funny thing is when I put on an old t-shirt that I had put aside for mowing the yard and when I put it on it looks like it's on a coat hanger. When you lose weight it's not just around the body that changes, but the sleeves end up being too long.
And I had to keep adjusting my bra straps too because they would slip off my shoulders.
And my too tight necklaces not fit nicely.

PHD member here (altho I rarely join in). The problem with meat production is not a lack of ranches (I'm from Montana) - it's a lack of local slaughter capacity. Fewer than 2% of beef available in Montana was raised here, and we have more cows than people. The CAFOs hold a monopoly, altho things are slowly changing, thanks to producers like Old Salt Co-op.

19 day carnivore. The first 5 days I went camping so I couldn't cheat. Had NO energy at all. Lay on the bed, ate, walked a bit, and listened to carnivore education. Now I'm down a pant size. Much more energy. Much more flexibility/fluidity. Craving animal fat. My field of vision has increased so much because of less puffiness in my face and I can breath so much better. My best splurge - an electric indoor grill which keeps all the disgusting grease out of my kitchen and cooks the meat correctly without my having to me do anything. Slow cooker pot roasts are easy, tasty, and cheap. My local Hispanic grocery makes fresh, hot pork rinds cooked in lard. Cheaper and so tasty. Friday afternoons there is a line waiting for them. I grab them on the way home and that becomes a good bit of my Friday night 'special' dinner.

Told my doc 5 years ago I’m keto . I Was 54, healthy, he said you look good your blood numbers are good no problem. Now I’m ketovoure almost carnivore I’m working on that. I’m , 59 not fat, I’m jacked, still good blood numbers no crappy blood pressure or cholesterol pills, rare at my age. I’m not diabetic or pre diabetic. I grew up lifting weights, stopped a year ago gotta get back. I practice kung fu and tai chi daily in the AM sun barefoot ,in shorts, getting sun in my eyes first thing about 8:30 am. I don’t wear glasses never did. ! My martial arts trainers say don’t lift weights, I always disagreed with my kung fu and TKD masters, , .decade after decade and kept lifting weights anyway. why not be able to bench twice your weight right? The masters say that big muscles get in the way of the the whipping effect of your stings and punches etc. you could tear a muscle or seperate a shoulder. I never had any trouble . Everyone should know self defense and be strong, man or woman. Find a martial arts school near by, and go. If u r “old” take tai chi, or at least yoga ! Good luck spread the love spread the word -carbs suck!

@@stephanripianzi4004Great story. Yes lifting great. Keto carnivore great. The only thing bout depending on the self defense your talking bout is ok. Just saying here so no offense intended. I follow former military guys who promote other self defense techniques vs say karate or any of the physical moves. I think it's great if you already know however I think in a true survival type defense against an attacker is better to know and/or practice how yo defend yourself with a knife and no not just having gun on you cause that can be a false sense of security since you can't use it or access it quick enuf if surprised or caught off guard. So, I say yes know the arts of judo karate or whatever but they teach where the weak points on the body to take down or eliminate a true threat. Good luck.

You may want to check out Kelly Hogan's group because she focuses on women and can help you with what you might need to tweak. I'd tell you how I tweaked things, but it's so different for people that it would be better to know all the ways so you can make a choice and then experiment to see what works best for you.

I started tracking my food with a scale and using an app to keep my calories between 1100-1300 with protein above 100g and fat below 100g and carbs below 20g. I added in 2-3 days per week, 30 min workouts with Pure Physique online. Some people will need a higher fat ratio, but that wasn't working for me. No worry. Fast. Only eat when your hungry. Let you body get into autophagy. It's self cleaning. For some people depending on your metabolic status, you may need to adapt this way to carnivore and by the way ,fatty food carries you longer between meals than crappy carbs. So , eat only when hungry and while fasting not only will your body self clean meaning the good cells will eat the waste from the elimination of the bad cells, you will also produce more growth hormone which is the youth hormone. It will do wonders for your health. Good luck.

Try eliminating dairy or other products you eat. Also the vibration got better after I quit gluten. I understand you so much. It's not anxiety. The main benefit of a coffee enema is detoxifying the liver. Caffeine dilates your bile duct aiding the liver to remove toxins to the intestines for elimination. I would submit that the Carnivore Diet will cause the body to start eliminating toxins stored in the toxic fat you describe, and coffee enemas will aid in their removal.😊

I didn't mention the benefits so far; I had a growth in my eyes (was told it was from radiation from the sun, computer screen, TV & phones) this has become a whole lot better. My eyes are way more comfortable and I can read my Bible without glasses (Bibles come in small print). I used to have severe chronic pain in my neck and back of my headache, it has cleared immensely with no pain mgt meds. I used to be anaemic (I still use a supplement but I will become free of that as I eat more carnivore). My cycle improved immensely (no more tender breasts, no more stomach pain, no more anger and shaky feelings). I struggled with constipation yet I ate veggies daily (now no constipation. I don't go do no.2 daily but I don't feel ill or backed up at all). My brain feels sharper ( I write proposals so I can tell the difference between what I wrote in May and today 2024).

Ryan Holliday’s books are a solid introduction to Stoicism. But for those who are truly interested, you can read the original texts of the Stoic philosophers for yourself, or just learn about those too online. 😅

This message is for Dr Berry , I have tried many times to reach out to you, 2 1/2 years ago I was on RUclips and came across one of your videos talking about leg cramps which I used to have in my sleep, I used to think it was going too kill me it was so painful, I then came across your keto diet and decided to try it, I was 57 years old at the time weighing 220 lbs , diabetic since I was 25 years old, high blood pressure since I was 13 years old , live in Barbados with zero help from these doctors. 2 insulin fast acting and slow acting, the usual story more and more insulin and still have high blood sugar levels, I put on a cgm when I started keto had amazing blood sugar reading in the 4’s and ‘5’s with zero insulin, lost 14 lbs in 3 weeks and my doctor try too stop me , she believed I was crazy , I refuse to listen to her and watch your videos every night. Notice my blood sugar started too rise slightly, because my doctor keep frightening me I started back the insulin but with a smaller dosage, after being on keto for the 3 weeks I watched your video on carnivore and switched. Currently on keto / carnivore diet because of Victoza which was included with my meds and only on lantus insulin slow acting on a smaller dose . I’m so desperate too lose more weight I tried Victoza on it now for about 8 months I think , my weight was stuck at 192 for several months, tried everything one steak a day fast for 2 to 3 days and nothing worked , went to the gym with a personal trainer 3 times a week for 5 months and still weighed the same . Since I’m on the Victoza had too add a little cucumber and tomatoes and sometimes a lettuce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar just to help with my appetite, because I couldn’t even eat a whole ribeye anymore. Had all the symptoms of Victoza . My weight did move from 192- to now 178 lbs , but stuck for several months, I also do some resistance exercise so it help me with my muscle loss from Victoza , Dr Jaquish X3 . Last year August I was giving up and came across Tom Fugal pepper story and inspired me too ouch on . I actually spoke too him few months ago and blew my mind . I wish I can speak to you to thank you for saving my life and help me tune my diet . In 2020 during COVID my right eye started to bleed, my retina was detaching , to make the story short he save the eye ( doctor surgeon) and he is also a diabetic young man and told me I have too change my diet if not I would eventually go blind and put me on to RUclips. Let me say it again you Dr Ken Berry saved my life. Thank you and I would love to invite you and your family and your mom too Barbados too stay with me.
Barbados West Indies, beautiful island with beautiful beaches.🙏🏽

A question for anyone who can help!
    1. Should I worry about sodium intake eating lots of meats? Or can I just continue to eat whatever meat daily?
    2. Also, I’m worried about protein poisoning. Can anyone explain how this would happen, and how to avoid?
    3. What’s the ratio of fat/protein/carbs to stay in ketosis? I’m trying to master Keto before carnivore.
    Currently:
    • breakfast: eating lots of eggs & bacon/sausage
    • dinner: either chicken, steak, fish, sausage, little avocado. I just kinda mix and match at night
    Thank you!

A possible explanation is that when eating this way, red blood cells live longer, therefore they have a longer period of time to get glycated. The test is based on assumptions about the life span of red blood cells that may not apply to people eating very low carb diets.

DR BERRY PLEASE HELP❤❤❤❤. I have had so many allergies, bad micro biome and fatigue for most of my life so I put myself on the Carnivore diet 4 weeks ago. The first week I felt like a totally new person. It was wonderful. Then week 2,3,4 and now going into my 5th week I feel so bad. I have no energy and my allergies are going crazy. I eat only meat, eggs and drink water with electrolytes. I have lost 7 pounds from 142 to 135. I didn’t need to lose a lot of weight but I am happy to see I have lost a little. I did this for health. I eat plenty of food but I feel like it is all I can do to move. I want desperately to feel good on this so can you please tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thank you. Husband wants me to stop because he sees me going down.
