The great Sinatra singing wonderfully despite having a cold! Sinatra was and always will be the most talented singer and Interpreter of Songs - from here to eternity!
This is from the 1969 USA Tv special: "Sinatra", with the Don Costa orchestra. Even with laryngitis Frank's timbre, vocal delivery, phrasing & interpretative powers are outstanding. Perhaps, all the more so. 😮He looks great, IMHO, no wonder Mia found him attractive a few years earlier.
When belts out the last "wrong or right" lines the note wrong is sharp once, he knows it and doesn't make that mistake again. Little Anthony doesn't "play what's written" he writes it, as he plays and if he sings a little sharp or flat it's part of his groove.
Yes, fantastic thriller, one of the best broadcast by the Italian national channel. It was set in Hamburg (Germany) and this song added great depth and pathos to the show.
Didn't know Mr Sinatra did a cover of this song, wow !! But i must say with the up most respect Little Anthony and the Imperials version are awesome. ..
Goin' outta my head over youuuu... yes outta my head over you... dulu dunia serasa milik berdua wkwkwkwk
Frank on top of his game here! Met him in Atlantic City resorts hotel lounge 1983 at 1 am with his entourage . He was there to see Sal Butera. He came to say hello at every table much to the chagrin of his body guards who wanted him to go bed ! Lol (overheard one of them complaining to a coworker) a true superstar and gentleman.
A great MAN...A GREAT Legend....from Spain south i LOVE and i admirer his músic......goin out of MY head....LOVE THIS SONG .....sung by others singers too BUT THE voice OF Mr SINATRA its so wonderfull.....amazing.....GREETINGS FROM SOUTH OF SPAIN!
My second favourite song by Sinatra, written by the Brazilian songwriter Antonio Carlos Jobim and recorded in early 1967. From the "Francis Albert Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim" album (Reprise Records, released March 1967) .
@@jermyturn I think it was Costa. He pretty much did all of Frank’s arranging from like 1967 onward. I think the only major exceptions are the Past and Future parts of Trilogy
Woke up at 5 am then listened to Ray Coniff album Honey in RUclips from my samsung Note 10+, thru my bt speaker with modified electronic. Going out of my head was the last song in the album, and it just strike the strings in my heart, how sweet and sad is this song, that i knew perhaps since 1970, and listened to it repeatedly in the sunny Singapore, or snowy Montreal. Then i must find all version of going out of my head... Now I live in Singapore again but wonder how many people and who still remember and like this song. The music of 1960s are very special, they are sweet and thick with emotions. Remember by the time I get to Phoenix, love is blue, wonderland by night, etc.
IN LOVE with how Frank Sinatra delivers this song with his inflections, dynamics, feeling, and swag! Wow! One of my favorites of his and i love them all! Frank makes it so real! Captures the raw emotion of how it feels to be going out of your head over someone you're so in love with. "cuz i can't explain the tears that i shed...over you, ooooover you!" Heal me, Frank Sinatra! :-D
I love Ol Blue Eyes, but it’s really hard to hear him sing this after hearing the original version with Little Anthony. LA put a lot of soul into it. Hair on the back of my neck starts to rise soul.
Well, I think I'm going' out of my head. Yes, I think I'm going' out of my head over you, Over you. I want you, want you to want me, I need you so badly I can't think of anything but you. Going out of my head over you, Out of my head over you, Out of my head, day and night, Night and day and night, Wrong or right. I must think of a way into your heart, There's no reason why my being so shy should keep us apart. Well I think I'm going out of my head. 'cause I can't explain the tears that I shed over you, over you. I see you each morning, you go right by me, You don't even know that I exist. Going out of my head over you, Out of my head over you, Out of my head, day and night, Night and day and night, Wrong or right, day and night, Night and day and night, Wrong or right, day and night, Night and day and night, Wrong or right.
Sorry for the spiritualists, but there are certain people who only passed through this life once, Frank Sinatra is one of them. The best of the best is the only one. The eternal King of Maracana in Brazil.
I'm so glad this is back on RUclips. I bet the people who kept taking this great cover down are fans of today's "music" which is the same ol' shit: Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Iggy Azalea, Cardi B, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake, Meek Mill, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Rocky, Fetty Wap, Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, Jason Derulo, One Direction, and Maroon 5. Time to trade in those so called "artists" for the real artists of music: Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Frank Zappa.
Frank sounds better sick than most singers in perfect health. Despite all odds, he nailed it.
Fabulous! A great voice and charisma, too, an unbeatable combination. He and Ella did a great duet of this on one of his shows, well worth a look.
He was in exceptional voice on this song with Ella!
OMG! What a voice.....incredible!
He gets into it. Frank was a warrior. He tackled songs.Turned them over. He was a fully human vocalist.
Best version there is of this song, absolute class
A bit of vocal roughness here and there due to laryngitis only adds to the song effect.
That's a lie.. best version

Yes, a thousand times yes! Sinatra #1

This stands out among his recorded singing to me because you notice he can go above what you'd've considered his pay grade in power and high pitch.
Absolutely!
