- Join me as I show you my finished journal ready and waiting to be filled with lots of little stitcheries.
I show you how I interpret the week 1 prompt from @k3n.clothtaleswoven cloth depicting ‘community’ and place my first stitchery into my journal.
I now have a Facebook group where we can share all things slow stitch. I’d love to see your projects too.

Such a pretty effect Sally, I'm enjoying you chatting away while I sort through some yummy vintage supplies myself, might bring this technique into my dictionary of stitches, that could be really fun. Your journal looks brilliant as well, I will look forward to watching it fill up :)
Thanks so much Annie - I’ve just started watching your series too, it’s going to be wonderful 🧡

What a great idea with the compass! The end result is just lovely.
Bec at Sew Be Curated was talking about wonky when she was stitching a needle book with her friend I think. I hash tagged in the comments #embracethewonk because I’m all about the perfectly imperfect. ❤
Thank you so much Karen - yes, I love wonky - I’ll look up Sew Be Curated 🌼

One thing I would really love to learn is how to do the edging. My gramma taught me how years ago, but I have forgotten so much.
I love edges, I mostly use napkins, tablecloths for the edging that I use 🌼
Hi Sally, That is awesome the stitching is beautiful. Making that is very wonderful. I live in Oregon, United States. You live in United Kingdom? Is that where you are?

Where did you get your color thread? Id like to use those embroidery threads instead of the infinity loop dmc 😊
I usually pick them up at antiques/flea fairs, charity shops, places like that - you can also have a look on eBay - most of them are perle threads 🩷
@@DottyBeeVintage Thank you! 😊
