"It was kind of like the Neo Geo but was only on the Playstation...in Japan." As a huge SNK fan that owns an AES and MVS 4-slot cab I can tell you with 100% certainty the Playstation was a more powerful console. The only thing the Neo Geo really had on the Playstation was it had more RAM and quicker access as it is a cart based machine. The AES/MVS/CDZ does not have hardware scaling. It was able to scale sprites much like the Genesis was through software scaling. Addendum- The Neo Geo AES/MVS/CDZ actually has the exact same processor and co-processor as the Sega Genesis. Both are powered by a Motorola 68K 16-bit/32-bit processor and a Zilog Z-80 8-bit co-processor. The Neo Geo hardware has far more RAM and its processors are faster than a Genesis with a beefier VDP (Video Display Processor). It had hardware that assisted it in shrinking sprites but it cannot enlarge them with specialized software techniques.
I agree. The PS1 was definitely more powerful. But for a short while, between 90 and 93, the Neo Geo was the machine to have. I actually sold my Neo Geo collection (small collection) and got a PS1 and a bunch of games.
Loved all of these. Well done 👏 ✔️ 👍
Great content. Thank you
What an incredibly well produced series. Well done
This makes me so happy 😊
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it.

What's the game at 28:19?
Zero Team. It was an arcade game. Now it is available on the switch store as well. Might be on other consoles. Haven't checked.
