xtension: That was my first thought, that this sounds like Jpop/rock. I kind of liked it, which surprises me. I seem to have a bias against Japanese pop music. Even groups that I really love like DBSK, I like three of their Japanese songs; the rest I can't stand. Love everything Korean by MBLAQ, but their Japanese songs are awful. Jrock/metal is usually good though.

They have heavier songs as well. Being a guy who graduated in the mid 80's, I really dig this group Even saw them in concert in LA this past summer. Very diverse crowd they draw, many people my age were there so I didn't feel completely out of place. Try "Goodnight" and "Chase me" from their earlier days for a heavier sound. "Break the wall" is a great song that sounds great in concert. No official video, just a group made one but it's a banger in concert. Definitely my favorite group. Enjoy the ride that is Kpop, so many groups take their sounds from the 80's which is why I went down the rabbit hole.

This song may be a possibility of the rebirth of rock and metal in Korean mainstream music. Hope them to be more popular. As you said they are far from being mainstream and are the closest to the music genre I love! What I like the most is that they have good vocals, great dance and that rockish sound. So i think the fandom of K-InSominas isn't that big as International InSomnias. Also, they took a risky genre that im impressed they are succeeding and progress is being made every comeback. Rock Genre is not so popular in Korea but pop because not sure how many are used to listening to rock while growing up. That got so interested in DreamCatcher. Dreamcatcher is always SO CLOSE getting that win but fail because just something is missing that they haven't got more recognition. I mean they are getting it, but not enough it feels like. I feel not alot of people are not giving them a try or just still ignoring them until the change of Rock genre. Which they won't do. I hope not.

Either they heard about them but push them aside stick to the trend or the other majority that they choose to stan them because of not following the trend. I don't know why Dreamcatcher keeps being pushed down when they are so close to that first win. But they still are getting recognition somehow. A first win opens the huge door but small doors are still opening for DC. Their Scream comeback has shown to people in Korea they can add some EDM but still keeps the rock genre. The effect more people woken up to them but still more needs to wake up. As i said, it's still not enough yet. I hope more Koreans get used to change, I don't think they are. That's why there is such a trend from different genres than rock in the Korean music industry. Dreamcatcher road to fame reminds me of a bit of BTS road to fame. Hands down, Dreamcatcher is the most talented girl group I have ever seen. If you take the choreography, vocal ability, musical production, rap flow, stage presence (all taken together), they have it all. Yes, other girl groups are talented in some aspects, but weaker at others. But DC appears to have no flaws. Incredible

They have heavier songs as well. Being a guy who graduated in the mid 80's, I really dig this group Even saw them in concert in LA this past summer. Very diverse crowd they draw, many people my age were there so I didn't feel completely out of place. Try "Goodnight" and "Chase me" from their earlier days for a heavier sound. "Break the wall" is a great song that sounds great in concert. No official video, just a group made one but it's a banger in concert. Definitely my favorite group. Enjoy the ride that is Kpop, so many groups take their sounds from the 80's which is why I went down the rabbit hole.

Fan of Nightwish, Epica and Within Temptation here too! Great to see another fan of those group here! DC became my favorite Kpop group. As you said they are far from being mainstream and are the closest to the music genre I love! What I like the most is that they have good vocals, great dance and that rockish sound. HAve you heard "My Toys" it's the intro of their mini album! It's just so great for us metal lover!!!

@@plasmakitten4261 I think when it comes to music shows, they don't lean towards international fans but Korean fans instead. So i think the fandom of K-InSominas isn't that big as International InSomnias. Also, they took a risky genre that im impressed they are succeeding and progress is being made every comeback.
Rock Genre is not so popular in Korea but pop because not sure how many are used to listening to rock while growing up. That got so interested in DreamCatcher.
Dreamcatcher is always SO CLOSE getting that win but fail because just something is missing that they haven't got more recognition. I mean they are getting it, but not enough it feels like. I feel not alot of people are not giving them a try or just still ignoring them until the change of Rock genre. Which they won't do. I hope not.
@@plasmakitten4261 When Korea media shares about popular groups they do get all the attention, but when it comes to Dreamcatcher, not all of the people will click the link. Either they heard about them but push them aside stick to the trend or the other majority that they choose to stan them because of not following the trend. I don't know why Dreamcatcher keeps being pushed down when they are so close to that first win. But they still are getting recognition somehow. A first win opens the huge door but small doors are still opening for DC. Their Scream comeback has shown to people in Korea they can add some EDM but still keeps the rock genre. The effect more people woken up to them but still more needs to wake up. As i said, it's still not enough yet. I hope more Koreans get used to change, I don't think they are. That's why there is such a trend from different genres than rock in the Korean music industry. Dreamcatcher road to fame reminds me of a bit of BTS road to fame. Someday Dreamcatcher will make it BIG. Still hoping for more Korean people to give them a chance and not think they such a cult group. I mean thats the vibe im getting.

Hands down, Dreamcatcher is the most talented girl group I have ever seen. If you take the choreography, vocal ability, musical production, rap flow, stage presence (all taken together), they have it all. Yes, other girl groups are talented in some aspects, but weaker at others. But DC appears to have no flaws. Incredible

I think one day Dreamcatcher will be really big.They have fantastic vocals, the rap parts are amazing,they have a talented group of people working for the choreography and songs.More than that they have an unique concept(I was shocked to find horror in k pop) and last but not least they have charisma.I'm so happy I can be with them from the beginning (well,not really) and to join them till the end.Forgot to say,that their freaking chemistry is incredible!!! they're like an one organism!
