So this in my opinion is the beginning of the dreamcatcher storyline. They were happy in the beginning going to like a school or something. Then Jiu finds a spider and traps it. The spider is a curse and they start getting stuck in different nightmares and different realities. I feel that way because of all the mirrors. And Dami literally sings a line saying “I’m trapped in the nightmare”. Yoohyeon is extra mean to the spider so I think that’s why she gets targeted in You and I by the lady who turns into a spider. At the end they destroy their old selves cause it’s not really them anymore. It’s like a different reality and a nightmare that they sometimes have control over and sometimes don’t. The butterflies represent good and pure and what does spiders trap in their web? Butterflies.
Chase Me was their debut song, but if we look at the story, Fly High was before Chase Me. Because first, the members were very happily living in a house. One day Jiu caught a spider and wanted to own it.But Yoohyeon burned the spider with a magnifying glass to death. And the curse started. The house turned into a nightmare hotel.And all the members were cursed by the spider's curse. The name of Fly High's album is Prequel. Do you know what prequel means?

This is SO good, because the music matches what they're telling us perfectly. This is a prequel to chase me and good night, and hence they're showing us the happy moments before it all went wrong, and honestly the way they have clear undertones of something darker musically as the song progresses is genius in my opinion. It was always a pretty cheerful song, but even from the start there was something there, warning you that it would take a turn for the worse. The fact that dreamcatcher managed this musically *and* visually makes this an example of great storytelling

It's much more lighter than Chase Me and Good Night but that is to be expected in the Prequel. But it does have that under current of darkness which is so bewitching. Love it.
Yoohyeon killed the spider and release the dark magic from tarantula. The dark magic influenced all the girls and showed their dark self. Since its a story before Chase Me and Good Night, in previous music video Dami always with some books. The book that she is reading in Fly High accidentally found by the Hunter in Good Night MV and she managed to get it back with the help of JiU and HanDong. Also means that they used the spell(?) in the book to trap the Hunter in nightmares (in Chase Me MV). JiU, HanDong and YooHyeon are still struggling with their dark self. In all the three MVs, they are still showing their true self and in Fly High MV they tried to escape from the nightmare/boarding school as well. In Chase Me MV, can be seen that YooHyeon is still struggling but controlled by Siyeon and SuA. It make sense that Siyeon and SuA scenes in Fly High MV. In Chase Me MV, they both have a scene in the corridor as well. GaHyeon trapped in the nightmare. The door closed by Dami, eyes covered by Dami as well and fell into the big black hole in her heart and trapped in the nightmare in Good Night MV.
I had the theory that they were sent to the boarding school/nightmare by the Hunter and that was why he went looking for them. Like, he sent them there and suddenly there's all these crazy nightmare-like rumors so he goes back to investigate. That's how he knows where to go to try to find them in Chase Me. Then the girls take revenge on him for causing the whole thing in Good Night. But I love your ideas so much too!! Really really well done!!
They have already said it all started because of her burning the spider and giving them a curse. The video isnt in chronological order. Technically the killing of the spider happened fairly soon in this video and the corrpution sets in on all of them.

Ok, so here are my theories about the trilogy : All the girls were orphans (Siyeon who came with her bunny, which could show that she doesn't have any more family left ?). That's also why they took a picture together at the orphanage, and we see that pic in all the music videos. Everything was normal until JiU found the Tarantula and caught it in a jar (the jar is right next to 3 or 4 cards, but it looks like it's the jack, queen and king of Clubs, but I can't really find any correlation somehow) Dami was probably the first one to get affected by the dark influence of the Tarantula, and went for the other girls, starting from Gahyeon. (She's the one that closed her door, and transform into the creepy lady) It looks like she can attack the others only during the night time (but I'll explain it a lil bit more later). Siyeon was the second one to follow Dami (even if she resisted for a long time, since we saw her walking backwards with SuA). And we see Dami, Siyeon and Gahyeon looking through the stairs at 01:32 Siyeon and SuA (or is it Handong ? I'm not sure) are in two differents paths because SuA didn't turn into one of them yet at 01:34 The third one is SuA. If you watch slowly, they're passing each other a knife, and following the order they're sitting around the table. Dami -> Siyeon -> SuA. She gives them flowers to eat (a lot of flowers are used in witchcraft, but I don't know which flowers she's giving to them, so if you know feel free to say it ♥) Yoohyeon, JiU and Handong try to fight : JiU plays the piano and sees her dark self. 02:07 The three of them try to escape : we see JiU in the corridors, Handong in the forest and Yoohyeon in the garden. When daylight fades, the three last 'survivors' are seen struggling more to fight their dark self : Yoohyeon gives a dark gaze at the camera at 02:21 because her dark side is taking over. Handong is seen weak in the bath tub at 02:25 (did she tried to kill herself ?) Yoohyeon uses the black stone to protect herself from her dark side (she's using it on a mirror) but it melts : it's not affective anymore. One thing I'm not sure is why Yoohyeon probably killed the tarantula with magnifying glass : was she the one who accidentally (or not ?) let the demon get out the Tarantula and possess Dami ? Or did she tried to kill the evil spirit to protect herself ? She kinda looks fishy, so who knows. JiU looks like she's the last one trying to escape. She runs toward the exit of the castle as daylight is fading. But it's too late : her dark self takes control of her because there's no light : she closes the gate. At the very end, you can see they're forming a pentagram. I'm not really sure who's who, but. Here is the meaning : - Top : Spirit (SuA) - Left : Water (Handong) (she's seen in the bathtub) - Right : Air (JiU) (she's seen with the butterflies) - Bottom Left : Earth (Gahyeon) (she's seen in the bedroom with all the flowers and stuff) - Bottom Right : Fire (Yoohyeon) (she's using the magnifying glass to create fire) I'm not sure why Dami and Siyeon are at the center of the pentagram, but it may symbolize the fact that they're the one turning the others. Dami is the new form of the demon, and Siyeon is her right hand (?) Siyeon completes SuA's transformation, and SuA is seen with a book (could it be the book of Good Night ? It doesn't look like it but...) During Chase Me & Good Night, they tried to protect themselves from the (ghost ?) hunter who want to kill them, and they protect the picture of them (probably because they don't want to give any clue of how they transformed into evils etc). During Good Night, they use the book (of SuA ?) to trap the hunter. Then, they're seen in the wood and the book is lost in the forest. Probably because the book is the tool to kill them, but at the same time, they can use it to defeat their ennemies. The Hunter made the mistake to let the girls have it, and thats how he got defeated.
Nitro Nium that's a good theory but I'm also thinking that maybe yoohyeons like a traitor or smth and she burned the spider and then she tried to escape through a portal or smth in the mirror but JiU closed it before she could and she's trying to make sure they dint escape or smth like that idk
I think the hunter might actually be trying to help them in the other music videos and understand them more, but they don't understand that. I think the story might continue more and we'll understand more with the next album.

I just found it pretty interesting that *Yoohyeon is burning a spider*. In the Native American culture, the dreamcatchers were a spider web. Also, the dreamcatchers were supposed to ''catch'' the nightmares and to burn them with the sunlight. Just like Yoohyeon did with the wen. So my theory is ; maybe they were already cursed but the spider was supposed to keep them normal? But when the spider was caught and died, things started becoming darker...Because there were no more dreamcatcher to save them from the nightmare? Yoohyeon knew she was killing the spider and you can tell bc she noticed it was dark, and had to divert the members attention. She smiled sinisterly whilst killing the spider because she knew she was releasing evil in the house. (SHE did this because Dami was the first to be corrupted and she probably possessed her to do it)

For me the first two MVS were telling their story after they became ghosts and decided to hunt the man in the mansion. This one is telling their story before they died. How they lived and why they becomes vengeful ghosts. The bright parts of the MV are their happy moments and the dark ones that are more creepy resemble that something dark happened and made them become vengeful. This song is so beautiful and the message of the song is very powerful. The lyrics are really sweet, inspiring, emotional and relatable. They're singing voices are lovely and the dance coreography's incredible. The music video's perfect and the acting is amazing. The visuals are stunning and i love the outfits they look absoulutly gorgerous. Love the girlpower vibe in Dreamcatcher's songs and the positive energy they have. Dreamcatcher's love for eachother, fans and music shows clearly in everything they do. They're real sunshines and super talented easily the best girlgroup ever. Theory (Or part of one) The focus of this theory is Yoohyeon. Analyzing some parts of the lyrics of the song, I was interested in what seems to be a kind of conversation. And, basing myself not only on these, but also on other parts of the song, I thought the following ... At the beginning of the video the understanding that there is a college where seven girls live. and, the humor between them right out of the picture is well presented, with colors, games ... giving to understand that it is a joyful place. Then the song begins with "at the end of the darkness I can feel you watching me ... I'm lost in your dreams" it's as if a spirit was in someone's mind and that someone realized it. and then, coincidentally, Yoohyeon sings "I can fake it fly high ... so every night I can sleep next to you forever." and then we have it as if it were a response "I can make it ... come closer ... Ik many people say this but their songs (specially this one) give me anime intro vibes and I love that! Love their concept and style too. Dreamcatcher fighting!! 💕
The music style they are probably going for is very similar to jrock (example would be Scandal) which would explain why you feel an anime vibe. Hopefully they don't try to mix it up and try different styles cause they are probably the only rockish kpop group in the industry. (FNC bands have long left this genre and turned more into poprock/indie. FT.Island might still be considered rock with their newest song.)
For me, this is another Dal Shabet's "Someone Like You" or G-Friend's "Rough" moment: the first time I heard the song, I knew it would be one of my top songs of the year. I don't think many releases will be superior to "Fly High" until December!

So this in my opinion is the beginning of the dreamcatcher storyline. They were happy in the beginning going to like a school or something. Then Jiu finds a spider and traps it. The spider is a curse and they start getting stuck in different nightmares and different realities. I feel that way because of all the mirrors. And Dami literally sings a line saying “I’m trapped in the nightmare”. Yoohyeon is extra mean to the spider so I think that’s why she gets targeted in You and I by the lady who turns into a spider. At the end they destroy their old selves cause it’s not really them anymore. It’s like a different reality and a nightmare that they sometimes have control over and sometimes don’t. The butterflies represent good and pure and what does spiders trap in their web? Butterflies.

One day Jiu caught a spider and wanted to own it.But Yoohyeon burned the spider with a magnifying glass to death. And the curse started. The house turned into a nightmare hotel.And all the members were cursed by the spider's curse.

This is SO good, because the music matches what they're telling us perfectly. This is a prequel to chase me and good night, and hence they're showing us the happy moments before it all went wrong, and honestly the way they have clear undertones of something darker musically as the song progresses is genius in my opinion.
It was always a pretty cheerful song, but even from the start there was something there, warning you that it would take a turn for the worse.
The fact that dreamcatcher managed this musically *and* visually makes this an example of great storytelling

It's much more lighter than Chase Me and Good Night but that is to be expected in the Prequel. But it does have that under current of darkness which is so bewitching. Love it.
Yoohyeon killed the spider and release the dark magic from tarantula. The dark magic influenced all the girls and showed their dark self. Since its a story before Chase Me and Good Night, in previous music video Dami always with some books. The book that she is reading in Fly High accidentally found by the Hunter in Good Night MV and she managed to get it back with the help of JiU and HanDong. Also means that they used the spell(?) in the book to trap the Hunter in nightmares (in Chase Me MV).
JiU, HanDong and YooHyeon are still struggling with their dark self. In all the three MVs, they are still showing their true self and in Fly High MV they tried to escape from the nightmare/boarding school as well. In Chase Me MV, can be seen that YooHyeon is still struggling but controlled by Siyeon and SuA. It make sense that Siyeon and SuA scenes in Fly High MV. In Chase Me MV, they both have a scene in the corridor as well.
GaHyeon trapped in the nightmare. The door closed by Dami, eyes covered by Dami as well and fell into the big black hole in her heart and trapped in the nightmare in Good Night MV.

I had the theory that they were sent to the boarding school/nightmare by the Hunter and that was why he went looking for them. Like, he sent them there and suddenly there's all these crazy nightmare-like rumors so he goes back to investigate. That's how he knows where to go to try to find them in Chase Me. Then the girls take revenge on him for causing the whole thing in Good Night.

They have already said it all started because of her burning the spider and giving them a curse. The video isnt in chronological order. Technically the killing of the spider happened fairly soon in this video and the corrpution sets in on all of them.

Thus kinda being responsible for what happened even though the whole thing is kinda on her for burning the spider. As such he would go after the girls later and the girls would go after him. After the spider released the dark curse. Does that make sense?? I can understand if it doesn't. I don't really know how to explain what I'm thinking lol.

Even though we didn't get to 400k, we actually did a good job on the first day:
1)Their album became #1 on the US Kpop Album Chart and #5 on the song part.Also in Indonesia as well.
2)They trended on Korean and Worldwide twitter. They also trended on Naver and Danum.
3)On MWAVE, they are currently #4 and MWAVE Japan, they are #7.
4) For the first time since they were Minx, they charted on the Bugs Chart, debuting at #44.
5)Their article about their comeback took over the front page of Naver.
So even though we didn't reach our RUclips goal, that doesn't mean we did bad on the first day. We especially got them right under EXO in the US KPOP Album Chart. I believe also in the overall US Chart they are 102.

Ok, so here are my theories about the trilogy :
All the girls were orphans (Siyeon who came with her bunny, which could show that she doesn't have any more family left ?). That's also why they took a picture together at the orphanage, and we see that pic in all the music videos.
Everything was normal until JiU found the Tarantula and caught it in a jar (the jar is right next to 3 or 4 cards, but it looks like it's the jack, queen and king of Clubs, but I can't really find any correlation somehow)
Dami was probably the first one to get affected by the dark influence of the Tarantula, and went for the other girls, starting from Gahyeon. (She's the one that closed her door, and transform into the creepy lady) It looks like she can attack the others only during the night time (but I'll explain it a lil bit more later). Siyeon was the second one to follow Dami (even if she resisted for a long time, since we saw her walking backwards with SuA).
And we see Dami, Siyeon and Gahyeon looking through the stairs at 01:32
Siyeon and SuA (or is it Handong ? I'm not sure) are in two differents paths because SuA didn't turn into one of them yet at 01:34
The third one is SuA. If you watch slowly, they're passing each other a knife, and following the order they're sitting around the table. Dami -> Siyeon -> SuA. She gives them flowers to eat (a lot of flowers are used in witchcraft, but I don't know which flowers she's giving to them, so if you know feel free to say it ♥)
Yoohyeon, JiU and Handong try to fight : JiU plays the piano and sees her dark self. 02:07 The three of them try to escape : we see JiU in the corridors, Handong in the forest and Yoohyeon in the garden.
When daylight fades, the three last 'survivors' are seen struggling more to fight their dark self : Yoohyeon gives a dark gaze at the camera at 02:21 because her dark side is taking over. Handong is seen weak in the bath tub at 02:25 (did she tried to kill herself ?)
Yoohyeon uses the black stone to protect herself from her dark side (she's using it on a mirror) but it melts : it's not affective anymore.
One thing I'm not sure is why Yoohyeon probably killed the tarantula with magnifying glass : was she the one who accidentally (or not ?) let the demon get out the Tarantula and possess Dami ? Or did she tried to kill the evil spirit to protect herself ? She kinda looks fishy, so who knows.
JiU looks like she's the last one trying to escape. She runs toward the exit of the castle as daylight is fading. But it's too late : her dark self takes control of her because there's no light : she closes the gate.
At the very end, you can see they're forming a pentagram. I'm not really sure who's who, but. Here is the meaning :
- Top : Spirit (SuA)
- Left : Water (Handong) (she's seen in the bathtub)
- Right : Air (JiU) (she's seen with the butterflies)
- Bottom Left : Earth (Gahyeon) (she's seen in the bedroom with all the flowers and stuff)
- Bottom Right : Fire (Yoohyeon) (she's using the magnifying glass to create fire)
I'm not sure why Dami and Siyeon are at the center of the pentagram, but it may symbolize the fact that they're the one turning the others. Dami is the new form of the demon, and Siyeon is her right hand (?) Siyeon completes SuA's transformation, and SuA is seen with a book (could it be the book of Good Night ? It doesn't look like it but...)
During Chase Me & Good Night, they tried to protect themselves from the (ghost ?) hunter who want to kill them, and they protect the picture of them (probably because they don't want to give any clue of how they transformed into evils etc). During Good Night, they use the book (of SuA ?) to trap the hunter. Then, they're seen in the wood and the book is lost in the forest. Probably because the book is the tool to kill them, but at the same time, they can use it to defeat their ennemies. The Hunter made the mistake to let the girls have it, and thats how he got defeated.
Nitro Nium that's a good theory but I'm also thinking that maybe yoohyeons like a traitor or smth and she burned the spider and then she tried to escape through a portal or smth in the mirror but JiU closed it before she could and she's trying to make sure they dint escape or smth like that idk
i think this is before goodnight and chase me because it would make more sense if you think about it. and i think on the album it says "prequel"
and it also shows JiU lost her good side when her butterflies dissapeared
I think the hunter might actually be trying to help them in the other music videos and understand them more, but they don't understand that. I think the story might continue more and we'll understand more with the next album.

I just found it pretty interesting that *Yoohyeon is burning a spider*. In the Native American culture, the dreamcatchers were a spider web. Also, the dreamcatchers were supposed to ''catch'' the nightmares and to burn them with the sunlight. Just like Yoohyeon did with the wen.
So my theory is ; maybe they were already cursed but the spider was supposed to keep them normal? But when the spider was caught and died, things started becoming darker...Because there were no more dreamcatcher to save them from the nightmare?

They're singing voices are lovely and the dance coreography's incredible. The music video's perfect and the acting is amazing. Theory (Or part of one) The focus of this theory is Yoohyeon. Analyzing some parts of the lyrics of the song, I was interested in what seems to be a kind of conversation. And, basing myself not only on these, but also on other parts of the song, I thought the following ... At the beginning of the video the understanding that there is a college where seven girls live. and, the humor between them right out of the picture is well presented, with colors, games ... giving to understand that it is a joyful place. Then the song begins with "at the end of the darkness I can feel you watching me ... I'm lost in your dreams" it's as if a spirit was in someone's mind and that someone realized it. and then, coincidentally, Yoohyeon sings "I can fake it fly high ... so every night I can sleep next to you forever." and then we have it as if it were a response "I can make it ... come closer ... I'll silently approach and take you away" it's as if she's being invited by the spirit to approach him. hence, I may suppose that he must have told her Yoohyeon to perform a series of tasks ... and as she fulfilled these tasks she approached him even more ... and, the final task, requested by him, must have been to kill the spider as Jiu picked up. There is also another detail ... Yoohyeon sings the first chorus..the part "i can fake it .." and in the end, she sings "i can make it" .. that usually, so far, Siyeon sang (this detail i I only suggested kkk) but why would Yoohyeon allow a spirit to possess it completely? Well ... she says at the end of the video herself. "Take my pain away." When realizing that an evil surrounds the college, Jiu intervenes ... she closes the gate. the lock so that Yoohyeon and this evil stay there forever. and the rest ... The music style they are probably going for is very similar to jrock (example would be Scandal) which would explain why you feel an anime vibe. Hopefully they don't try to mix it up and try different styles cause they are probably the only rockish kpop group in the industry.
