Great review....one point to mention, the maker shows in a video that the intension is to not remove the band but to slip the outer cover piece out and leave the band in place which works nicely to keep everything in its place.
Just saw your Q&A on this wallet. Really love to see a carry test on it. This wallet is like what minimalist is by definition lol extremely simple design and seems extremely functional. Looking forward to your carry test.
Hi Mark, of all the wallets I own (some of which actually having a higher final score) the singular leather wallet really is my personal favorite. Everytime I get back to it (resulting in a nice patina). Your Q&A explains exactly how it should be used, so that's a must see. The quick access option is great. The elastic makes changing the number of cards possible without overstretching the leather besides providing contrast of course. One extra option worth mentioning is the option to put cash folded once or twice directly in between the cards and the leather inside (cash goes behind the cards). That way the back end portion can be used purely for coins without cash getting in the way. Quick acces card, rest of cards, cash and coins all divided in one very compact horizontal package. Just wanted to share my carry experience. Goodluck ;-)
A true minimalist 👍👍👍 Some of the comments make my eyes roll. I must have researched over 50 premium wallets and pulled the buy trigger on Singular. The only concern is the glue holding the divider especially in geographies where you have hot humid and very cold seasons.
Got this wallet about a week ago. Got the wallet a full week before estimated delivery date. Granted, I live in Dallas, which seems to be a central hub for the US, so that may have played into it. It was smaller than I thought- but- love the size! I used to be a billfold guy, but after watching this channel, this is now my 4th wallet, and 3 of the 4 require me to fold cash. Not an issue at all with this wallet- the slot in the back has ample room to fold and quickly insert or pull it out. The quick access slot is fantastic, and allows easy tap to pay without having to remove at all. After only a week of carrying this....it's becoming my favorite. Love the small footprint and functionality, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the personalized card that Jorge put into the package also. Very nice touch. As mentioned by others, you do need to also watch the Q&A video where Mark goes over the REAL way to use this wallet with the elastic- ie, you never remove the elastic. Just pull the flap out
Thanks for the great review (btw your Walletopia explorer is Brilliant!). The only thing I think worthy of mention is as already referred before that pulling the lip without releasing the elastic works great because: 1-Its fast! 2-Its a fast access to both cards and money. 3-it still holds the cards laterally so they won't fall. I was looking for some time for the smartest design and functionality. this was bulls eye.
Been using one for a full year. Moderate use, front picket carry and had no issues with the glued connection. That said, a stitch or two through each flap wouldn't be difficult to do. Really like this wallet.
Another wallet that I've fallen in love with after seeing your review. Just placed an order. Making it my 3rd wallet going off of your video reviews. And I'm always happy with that! I noticed on his shop's page that he accesses the wallet a bit differently. Keeping the elastic on the bottom half and only opening the top flap. Keeps things neat and organized for when you only need to use the top compartment. I found that very neat. Just thought I'd mention it in case you hadn't noticed that. :) Nicely done as usual, sir!
Great review. I'm an happy customer since 2017. As others pointed out there is a way for quick access by pulling the "lid" without removing the elastic band. Good looking, minimalistic and top quality.
After binge-watching your videos, I finally found the right wallet for me with the help of the Walletopia Explorer. This video initially left me unimpressed with the wallet, but after watching the follow-up video showing the correct usage, I immediately placed an order. I look forward to finally retiring the velcro wallet I've been using for the last 20 years.
