I used to go to that club when I lived in Berkeley I think I saw one of their very first shows. Back in the day . that’s my stomping ground for 38 years.
Cool stuff... green day is a great band.... they have made a alot of people happy, which is cool.... stinks that they are tearing down that studio... cool spots you visited.... historical places... nice... thanks for sharing.... take care.... have a great day.... thanks....👍👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing Micah! Love stuff like this, I am not the biggest Green Day fan but it is great seeing and hearing about their roots. American Idiot is my favourite album of theirs and I cannot believe it is twenty years old 🥲
Growing up in the east bay in the 90s I knew them and my friend ended up being Billy Joe’s kids nanny for a long time. She had some wild stories from being on the road with them.

Saul’s zeantz acquired that studio. If I remember correctly, they did the music for Amadeus the movie. I passed that house so many times.
If you're driving at all north of SF, there's a bunch of movie locations within an hour or two of the Golden Gate. Point Reyes for The Fog, Bodega Bay for The Birds, Goat Rock Beach for The Goonies and Healdsburg for Scream. Also, Robert Ripley's grave is in Santa Rosa while up this way.
1640 7th street in the bottoms is not the best place to walk around looking like a tourist - You must have drove right by the bus stop at Stuart and the Avenue between the Knowledge sign and the Longview house... why no Stuart and the Avenue stop?
Dude I’m so glad you went to check those places out . The tracks at Christie Road is a pilgrimage every Green Day fan should take
Thanks man! It was a fun day with a lot of spots that had to be missed due to not enough time in the day.

That’s awesome!
One of my favorite bands as well, especially their early stuff. Great video Micah, the Longview house was awesome!

Dookie was the first CD I ever had! It will always be my favorite.

And Dookie is my favorite❤❤
Huge Green Day fan from the beginning. Yes I liked their early stuff best but I still like the later work as well. Great band!

Green Day has a new album just released in the beginning of 2024.
Just heard it already. It is called Saviors. Gotta check it out.
Keep kicking ass
My son's band Broadway Calls was managed by Green Days manager before they split.
I know your sons band
Yeah, that’s in Martinez I know it well
Correct
A vlog your good buddy Adam the Woo would be fond of.
The stone wall❤ Did you at least grab a fallen stone on the walkway
I looked. Nothing around
Why no Stuart and the Avenue? (bus stop at Stuart and Telegraph by the old Rose Garden Inn)
Wasn’t on my list of stops. I know the significance but it just wasn’t on my list.
@@worldofmicah bummer, its 2 or 3 blocks from the Whole Foods you may/may not (may) have been right next to for.... reasons.

If you don’t do anything on the Dead Kennedys while in SF, you lose all your punk rock credibility.
